Why is it when I think about Al Sharpton, I immediately think back to this scene from the movie "Coming To America".
Got to love the 80's. Time to get serious. Obama's self professed mentor and "link to the streets" is planning on heading out west to further stir up trouble in Arizona. I never liked Al Sharpton nor Jesse Jackson. They are walking, talking billboards for what is wrong in the black community. Sharpton like Jackson are mere race hustling, poverty pimps. They've never come across a television camera they didin't like nor a corporation they wouldn't try and fleece for some fast cash. So Sharpton believes that some how the illegal immigration law that was just signed into law will violate the civil right's of legal citizens. I've said it before, Sharpton never struck me as being an intellectually sharp guy. I resent him trying to compare the civil rights movement of the 1960's with the "so called plight" of illegal aliens. There is no comparison. Even most blacks don't support illegal aliens coming into this country. It still amazes me how the media still takes this buffoon seriously. When Al does step foot on Arizonian soil, he will not be speaking for blacks but for himself.
I can only imagine the ratings of Sharpton's radio show. Dare I even go there? This is what Al Sharpton is most known for. He stirs up racial animosity and can't even be a man when he is proven wrong. Let me put it another way. Al Sharpton is a racial parasite and a bottom feeder of American society, and he shouldn't be taken seriously or given an ounce of credibility.

What can I say CB, Amen!
I find Al Sharpton to be a detestable human being. I think he is unworthy of the title reverend. He doesn't deserve reverence if anything he deserves contempt!
I also think illegal immigrants should go back to where they came from along with any children they give birth to on American soil!
We have enough ignorant voters and people living on entitlements we don't need to import more!
I also believe everyone who moves here should speak English if PC pinheads have a problem with that I suggest they leave my country too!
Gee Al, was it unconstitutional when you led a protest against Freddie's Fashion Mart because you had a problem with a Jewish man opening up a store in Harlem, which he rented the building that was owned by a black church and was asked by the owners to evict his sub-tenant?
One has to wonder, what kind of a life would Al have existed today, had slavery notexisted and been directed towards blacks?
This man obviously lives in a time warp, and has a deep intrinsic hatred for whites! Though he'll never admit it, publicly, Al would love nothing more than to force millions of hard working white Americans,to fork over their incomes solely to blacks, in order to make up for "the sins of slavery!"
If he he could walk through a time machine, and step back into the segregated era, when the United States government and media legally discriminated against black Americans, he'd be delighted!
Along with his numerous, disingenuous, enabling white liberal supporters, Al has been shamelessly using the pain and suffering, long endured by millions of blacks during the days of slavery and Jim Crow era, and applied it to every special interest group imaginable; be it homosexuals, feminists, atheists, Muslim activists, illegal immigrants of spanish speaking speaking descent!
It saddens me, as an African-American woman to see how this trifling, corpulent man,and all of his self serving, and conniving followers, have all raked in millions, by perpetuating themselves as "victims" of the "evil White Christian Man," in order to reap monetary rewards and fame!
There's not another country on this planet, where any of them, can get away with this type of rhetoric, aside from a Christian nation, heavily influenced by intelligent White men, who continue to use their God-given talent, to create new inventions, machinery and employment, which all them take advantage of, daily such as the United States!
Yet, their they are, daily, on television, the internet and the radio, renouncing Christianity, criticizing "the evil White man"
(while making a habit of living in "his clean, crime free neighborhood, once they accumulate wealth, of course," and demanding "rights" which none of them earned! It's disgusting!
Tell me something Al, what other country would produce a handful of verbally-challeged millionairs, with a limited education in a field known as "hip-hop", such as the U.S.A?
Can you also name an Islamic, atheistic or communistic nation, where characters like Ellen DeGeneres, The present day- Hollywood colony, ladies of the View and Christopher Hitchens
would flourish?
Maybe all of you, should trade in your United States citizenship, and go and live under the rule of non- white, Christian leaders such as Hugo Chavez, Kim Jong-Il or Robert MuGabe, and celebrate diversity with them!

As an independent liberal minded voter and thinker (what you might refer to as a "PC pinhead"), I have disagreed with many policies and decisions of the Reagan, Bush 1and Bush 2 administrations.
However, never once have I ever made claim that this country was "mine" simply because I disagreed with their policy.
The idea of "debating" and "disagreeing" is a fundemental idea of American democracy. Therefore it is impossible to believe in American democracy and freedom, and at the same time claim to other Americans that it is exclusively yours.
What happened to me under Reagan and Bush, was no more "un-American" than what you believe is happening to you!

Spoken like a true liberal with no understanding of the type of government structure we have in place. Allen our government isn't a "democracy", it's a "representative republic".

Can you name the legislation of Reagan that was unpopular with the American people allen? I can name the legislation by Bush 43 that was namely his amnesty bill for starters. I can also name Obamacare as one of the most hated pieces of legislations ever signed into law by a sitting president.
Also don't make the mistake of thinking that all conservatives loved Bush. If you do some research, you will discover that most conservatives turned on Bush in 2005 when he and Republicans tried to ram through amnesty.

The timeline wouldn't have mattered much. Sharpton at his core is a self serving, hood rat. That wouldn't have changed. He just would have chosen a different means of trying to make money unethically or illegally.

Actually I don't think he would be delighted, because he wouldn't have any power or influence in the media. Sharpton's threats would fall on deaf ears. Sharpton is only "relevant" when the cameras are on him. When they aren't, nobody even knows that man exists. Very few people if any even knew he had a radio show.

It is a said thing to watch. I believe that many corrupt black pastors have helped to contribute to the self victimation among blacks. Listening to so calle black clergy like Sharpton, Jackson, Jerimiah Wright, Otis Mose, and others, it's no wonder imaginary shackles of racial oppression still runs deep in the black community. It never ceases to amaze me how when I challenge blacks who believe this crap about being oppressed or discriminated against they can never tell me how. They become angry at me for daring to challenge their thinking instead.

Sharpton would never ever ever ever ever ever mention to blacks how the jobs that were meant for the residents of New Orleans under the Katrina reconstruction legislation went to illegals who flooded "pardon the pun" into New Orleans and undercut the pay of blacks who couldn't afford to work for such cheap wages as the illegals were doing. What in the sam hill about American "DEMOCRACY" (due process, civil liberties, voting rights, freedom of political expression, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, etc...) that you don't understand? Americans of all political beliefs have the same rights...
I was not talking about America being a Representative Republic, Monarchy, Parliamentary... what have you! I talking about our American Democracy.

That's exactly what's happening. Not just in N.O., but anywhere there's an EMPLOYER who refuse's to hire American workers because he wants to earn an extra buck.
Place them blame appropriately!
Yes, those who cross the border without proper documentation are wrong and are breaking the law. And they should not be hired or allowed to work on any construction site. Moreover, even if the foreign worker has documents which allows him to work in the U.S., the American worker should have precedence over a foreigner.
However, when you look at the "motivations" for all the parties involved, the story changes...
1. The American worker often seeks employment with a wage comparable to their skills and that will support a particular standard of living.
2. The illegals cross the border in desperation, so the come for whatever pay they can get.
3. The contractor often seeks to increase his profits, not just make a profit, but to increase it by any means and as much as possible.
Government contracts after Hurricane Katrina is a prime example. It's been reported that more than $7 billion was handed out with limited or no competitive bidding. Billions has been pilfered by numerous instances of double-billing by contractors.
Al Sharpton wasabandoned by his fater after impregnating his step-daughtrer/Al's sister and marrying her. He had to show his preacher/father up,so he became a "Rev" like his father. The pretense of being 'holy' runs deep.
Arizona was nicer to Al than Mexico was when he tried to bring civil rights there.
