Jim Acosta of CNN asked Romney "Would You 'Assure Blacks You'd Be Their President Also?'

CNN is hovering around a 20 year low in their prime time ratings. There is a perfectly logical reason for that now so proud accomplishment. More and more people have abandoned CNN due to their over the top bias in it's news coverage. A new poll which was released last week by Gallup shows that 60% of Americans do not trust the media, which is at an all time high.  These people who make up the media are so caught up in their own world, they truly believe that the masses are still hanging on every word they utter as being the gospel of truth and integrity, when it's clearly not. Yesterday on CNN's Situation Room, Tim Acosta asked Romney a very angled question that tried to make him look as if he doesn't care about black people. H/T to Newsbusters.

Jim Acosta asked Romney ""If you were to somehow beat the first African-American president, what would you say to the black community to assure them that you would be their president also?

"If you were to "somehow" beat the the first African-American president? "

Let me see if I understand this. Does Jim Acosta thinks that Obama's skin color makes him unbeatable or near unbeatable? What does Obama's race have to do with whether he should be re elected? I know many foolish people voted for Obama the first time due to his race, but the racial novelty of his candidacy has been  since worn off. Too his next comment

"what would you say to the black community to assure them that you would be their president also?

Is Jim Acosta really a journalist? Since Romney is a Republican and is the opponent to Obama, most blacks  aren't going to like him regardless of whether he wins or not, and many will not embrace him as their president. So to answer Jim Acosta's stupid question, there is nothing Mitt Romney can say to them nor should he say to them to assure them, because it will merely be wasted breath.Romney should have said to Jim that he would tell the black community the same thing Obama told the black community about assuring them that he would be their president. Jim would have had a confused look on his face if Romney would have made that statement, because Obama never told blacks that he would be their president. Matter of fact, Obama is on the record as saying that he's not the president for blacks.
Of course if Romney would have made the exact statement, the media, progressives and black progressives would have no doubt labeled him a racist. Mitt Romney a few months ago addressed the National Association of the Advancement of Colored Progressives convention in an election year. Romney knew he wasn't going to gain any support, but he went there anyways. Obama was a no show, he sent crazy chains Biden instead. I doubt Jim Acosta of CNN would ever ask Obama does he take the votes of his black base for granted based on his no show at the NAACP convention, The media is such a joke.

Honestly, Romney should have told him to knock it off with such questions as this because the American people are tired o fit, but then they probably wouldn't have aired it if he had called him out on it. It was probably best he answered as he did because it still made Jim Acosta look like the clown that he is by asking such a dumb question.

I shudder to think of how they will frame questions in the debate. You know they will be biased and spin things.

What is it about the liberal media all obsessed with race? Maybe the reason why they have such low ratings is because the majority of the American people are getting fed up with racial politics!

Here is a link I came across about Americans say Obama's ads are more honest than Romney's. Frankly, I don't believe any word of it.
http://news.yahoo.com/esquire-yahoo-news-poll-romney-ads-lie-more-both-dishonest.html

But I do agree with one thing, most politicians will say anything to get your vote.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I have not seen any presidential campaign ads being broadcast on TV.

If Romney wins or loses in November he'll never be able to live down the 47% remark. Can anyone here find some where in presidential election history (let alone any election, state, local or high school class) where the candidate was caught saying that 47% of the electorate are "victims and he doesn't even worry about them?"

If you had an opportunity to interview a candidate that made such a remark, what would ask him? My uncle and aunt, 74 and 72 year old Mr. and Mrs. Reed, like millions of senior citizens, receive a meager Social Security check each month that pays housing and utility bills. That meager amount is supplemented with Food Stamps to buy food, and Medicare for hospital and prescription bills. I asked my uncle if he was a "victim."

He said; "Oh no son, I ain't no victim. I worked 43 years and raised 5 kids cutting up cows and pigs in a meat packing plant. The victims kept my family with a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs, and full bellies."

Mr. Reed didn't make a lot of money in that meat packing plant. He did the best he could to take care of his family, retiring when he was 64 years old because of back problems and arthritis. Yet, he's one of those 47% that Mitt Romney claims (effectively insults) as having a "victim" mentality.

So, why would a candidate for president of the United States refer to the citizens he hopes to represent as "victims?" Why would he single out 47% of the people and say he doesn't even worry about them? Sure, I understand that as a candidate you won't get "every vote", but to effectively demonize a large part of the electorate makes absolutely no sense. It's almost like a football coach who has first, second and third string players, and saying; "oh, since my first string players are out hurt, I'll play my 2nd and 3rd string, so I'm not worried about winning. They're just "victims", they didn't make 1st string, so we're not worried about them winning." Real nice pep talk coach...

Allen-The government gives so much foodstamps to the elderly what would they do with it all? The measly $16 they get every month. That is all my grandmother got and that's all my mom gets.

I think you and I know what 47% he is talking about. Those that are capable of doing something other than receiving food stamps and collecting a check every month.

My grandmother, my mom and the one you talked about can't really work anymore. So I highly doubt Romney was talking about them. He was speaking in general and he wasn't talking about blacks even though that is the your spin.

I know/known people who were quite capable of working but sat back instead to draw a check and food stamps. There is a woman I know who would rather deceive the system and claim she is mentally ill than go to work. She is my daughter's mother-in-law and she is perfectly fine and only in her early 40's.

But then again why are you even bringing this all up in the first place? To spin his remarks for why Jim said what he said? To make it as though Romney was just speaking about blacks as the 47%? You would be wrong.

Romney belongs to a church that believe black people were cursed. The church founder brigham young said blacks and whites that marry should have there heads cut off. Romney was 30 years old when the mormons changed its views about blacks. But romney never said nothing or wrote nothing saying he disagreed with the church teaching. Romney is a big liar so no one knows what he would do to blacks if he was elected. He said is dosent care about 47% of the country. Blacks are 12% of the country. So its a good question to ask because hes really saying he dont care about black people. And if you ask him he will lie.

Gerald T "Romney belongs to a church that believe black people were cursed"

Harry Reid is a Moron, and if he was running for president against a republican, you would vote for Harry Reid. So stop acting like you are so outraged over Romney's faith. Besides Robert Byrd was a member of the Klan, that didn't stop Obama from supporting him and helping to raise money for him in West Virginia, now did it? Matter of fact, Obama called Robert Byrd upon Byrd's death a "special friend".

Once again, don't be a hypocrite Gerald. You are trying to play the wrong person into buying what you are selling.

Gerald T "Blacks are 12% of the country. So its a good question to ask because hes really saying he dont care about black people. And if you ask him he will lie."

So was Obama asked will be the president of all Americans? I mean he did attend a church that had an embedded doctrine of "black liberation" theology and a "black value system" you know.

Let face it Gerald, whites and
Hispanics make up more then 13% of the American population.

lol, you are so right Big Pop. The majority of the people who voted for Obama aren't bright people. It's not just, because they voted for Obama. They really do not have a clue about what is going on in their country and in the world.
