Phil Robertson vs the Rainbow Mafia.

You have to laugh when liberals pat themselves on the back in their self grandstanding and fraudulent claim of  being the champions in supporting diversity. Diversity is more then just the color of a person' skin. It's also about having different points of views, beliefs, morals etc. Progressives refuse to accept that notion however. Their idea of diversity is people of different races all embracing the progressive points of view, period! The militant homosexual groups and their supporters known as the gay mafia or rainbow mafia talk a lot about no hate  aka "H8" as they put it, yet they seem to have no problem hating anyone who doesn't support their point of view, when it comes to homosexuality and gay marriage. Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson found out just how intolerant the rainbow mafia is. Phil gave a sit down interview with GQ magazine. He was asked about his view on homosexuality. Everybody who knows Phil and the rest of the Robertson family knows that they are very devout Christians. Well Phil made the mistake of being honest about his views and he paid the price in this political correct, knee jerk easily offended society.

This move by A&E has created a firestorm backlash against them and the gay group GLAD for obvious reasons. I'm going to be talking more in detail about this story, because I have a disdain for the rainbow mafia fro always trying to smear anyone who doesn't embrace their lifestyle as being "hateful".

In this era of political correctness Tyrone, lately anyone would be punished for speaking out with their beliefs. Phil Robertson didn't say that homosexuals should be interred or murdered. Yet, on the other hand, it most Muslim extremists speak about killing homosexuals, yet we allow them to speak their mind without any repercussions because we don't want to "offend" the Muslim community.

I am not a religious person, and I do have friends, co-workers, and family members who are gay. Like everyone else, I treat them equally and judge them from the content of their character and not their sexual orientation. What they do in the privacy of their own home is their business much as what I do in mine.

I never read the GQ article, but what I understand about Phil Robertson was that he was a lost soul and reckless when he was younger. He found turned to God and the Church and became a new man. What I don't understand, why did GQ bother to ask him about his views of homosexuality, when I assume they knew what his answer would be? Sounds like entrapment and looking for a way to sell controversy.

Even though I am not a religious person, I stand by Phil Robertson in this case. This hypocrisy and double-standard has gone way too far.

One thing that should be noted is that the slogan that A&E is using is "Be Original". In fact, if you visit the "Duck Dynasty" page on Facebook, you will see a picture of Willie Robertson (Phil's son and CEO of Duck Commander) at the top of the page with that exact slogan pasted with him. I wonder if they will be changing it to "Be Intolerant"? It appears that this slogan suits them better than the one that they are using now.

A&E knew what they were getting when they signed up the Robertson family to do the show. Their very strong Christians views was of no surprise to the A&E folks, they thought they could "control them" and strip out their Christianity despite the fact that their values is one of the major attractions of the show to it's viewers. It was reported that A&E warned Phil prior to the GQ interview. That was stupid in itself. It was no way that Phil was going to suppress his thoughts, views and values just to appease some A&E brass. It wasn't going to happen and it didn't.

anon "why did GQ bother to ask him about his views of homosexuality, when I assume they knew what his answer would be? "

Because it was a set up to bring down Phil by GQ. Liberals control the popular magazines. Phil Robertson and his family are everything they hate. Phil had the three taboos going against him in that interviews 1. He was white 2. He was a devout conservative Christian 3. He was a male. Even the Robertson family believe it was a set up. But it was A&E who arranged for the interview in the first place. Some are saying that A&E also set up Phil, but that makes zero sense, because Phil and the Robertson are making tons of money for that network, it would be beyond suicidal for them to cut the neck of their golden goose.

Like myself, Phil Robertson and family (link below) are members of the church of Christ (Romans 16:16), which seek to be faithful Christians, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. It is not a sect and has nothing to do with any sect or social or political movement. I believe the Scripture is God's inspired preserved word, and that that word of God is the truth, as Jesus said in John 17:17. Jesus also said that “all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword” (Matthew 26:52). Thus, following Jesus is not by force, but by each one's “own voluntary will” (Lev. 1:3), which devastates all those brainwashed backwards bloodguilty jihadists, Romanists, Inquisitioners, and Corruptocrats. Etc.

Today in America, people who hate the truth, call the truth “hate speech.” Headlines ad naseum have been saying “Robertson anti-gay remarks ...”

In fact, Robertson showed, correctly, from 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 that homosexuality is wrong, and not right, and that it is sin. This scripture, plus Leviticus 18:22, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis19 and confirmation of that in the new testament word of Jude 1:7, are clear on why a true Christian stands against homosexuality. That scripture shows that some Corinthians had been homosexual but had repented to be saved. Thus, for a Christian, warning souls and telling them the truth is NOT hate, but is the LOVING thing to do. Even though Robertson was asked about homosexuality, he did not focus on that only, but also the other sins that are just as condemnable in God's sight.

Gratuitous sex and porn today is still to be despised. However, I am rather glad that Robertson was blunt about homosexuality between men, because many just gloss over it under the rubric of “consensual” rather that face it head on, just as they ignore its massive implications for society.

Thanks for clearing up that Dynasty v. Commander distinction. I didn't realize that there was one... but since I know, now, I'll make sure to avoid the "Dynasty" label.

I've been beyond busy, but I am going to put together by Saturday the ultimate smack down to the rainbow mafia's propaganda about people who don't conform to their side of thinking are "hateful". This video I'm planning out is going to show them what true "hate" is all about.

You may also have a new title,
"Phil Robertson vs the Rainbow PUSH Coalition Mafia." It would appear that Jesse Jackson has weighed in on this issue; Jackson claims that Phil Robertson to be far worse than Rosa Parks' bus driver.

I'm confuse with you Jackson. Phil Robertson quotes a passage from the Bible and you and everyone else calls him a hate monger. You on the other hand, instigate hate and get away with it. Unlike you, Phil Robertson seems to know far more about the Bible than what you preach. I don't think you have ever ran a Church, nor have you read the Bible. In fact, like Al Sharpton, you are not an ordained minister, just a charlatan.

Lol! Tyrone you're the perfect candidate for getting caught up and hoodwinked. Duck Dynasty is a "TELEVISION REALITY SHOW!" It's television man. A&E knew exactly what they had, and they played to "EVERYONE" who is sucked into the political divide. I truly believe they knew eventually Robertson would express his sentiments (away from their set's production and camera's), and the controversy could be played to increase the audience for their next season. In the TV game, increasing your viewership a few more million never ceases to be enough.

Saturday Night Live's weekend update used the simple "tongue in cheek" approach to telling the real story.

This so-called controversy is a television producers dream play. Although I, nor you, could prove this was a pre-planned publicity stunt, we both know and have seen the outcome. A&E has already stated Robertson will be back in January. Cracker Barrel has rescinded their decision to remove Duck Dynasty gear. And now everybody involved has had their name and brand splattered all over every media outlet, and none have paid a cent for all that "FREE" publicity (aka, ADVERTISEMENT!).

And all this talk about "freedom of speech" and "religious freedoms" is just plain stupid. No government nor public entity has denied Phil the right to say or believe anything. If A&E really wanted to fire him over his comments, it would have had nothing to do with his freedom of religion or speech. It would have been about A&E's freedom to hire and fire whom ever makes or loses them MONEY! Moreover, the gay groups and the NAACP also got drawn into it, and were played just the same as the conservative groups.

Also, (and as usual), you boasted another typical conservative pile of misinformation. During you screed on your video you stated, "Duck Dynasty is the highest rated show on cable in cable history." WRONG! Outside of higher-rated sports competition this year from both football and postseason baseball, The Walking Dead is the highest rated show on cable (according to the 100 year old publication, "Variety Magazine").

Thus, just as you "PROMOTED" where to buy (aka, spend your money) the Duck Dynasty products on your video Tyrone, you can tell all your friends to tune in when the new season starts. Perhaps the Robertson's will send you a big fat Thank You letter!

It is interesting that you quote Lev. 1:3 which reminds me of the nature of Government which uses force to inflict it's will upon the people. By nature we should all be Voluntarists as Jesus is as God made us with free will. He wanted nothing to do with the kingdoms of the world as his kingdom is not of this world. If anything we should be displaying peaceful civil disobedience against mans kingdoms. Jesus was a radical of his time.

A&E, on their bed recovering from whiplash and backlash, and like ignorant wusses still trying to placate GLAAD with all the nauseating verbose talk, has restored Phil Robertson to the show Duck Dynasty. It has been commented by some that A&E thought viewers would laugh AT the “hillbillies” but A&E did know how to handle it when fans really liked the Robertsons and were laughing WITH them. The tyrannical intolerant one-sided leftist still do not understand how moral, God-loving, intact family people (Christians) are also funny and entertaining and sometimes even popular. They don't understand how millions want relief from trashy people's “reality” shows, and there is always so much to explore that is constructive and wholesome on God's earth! As a child my favorites were comics, especially Red Skelton and Carol Burnett, who just stuck with making people laugh, and who honored God by never using topics to berate people who followed God's word.
