A troubling trend for black males students? That is only a symptom of the problem
I'm still waiting for black liberals who are subserviently loyal to the Democratic Party to tell me specifically how liberalism and the Democratic Party has been an asset to the black community especially among young black males. I viewed the segment last week on the "troubling trend of young black males" on the CBS Nightly News. I just had to sigh, because this all could have been avoided decades ago. Also, it's all true. I'm pleased that the liberals over at CBS News decided to run that story, because if any conservative leaning media outlet would have done an identical story, they would have been called racists for doing so.
A study came out showing that 72% of black children born in the United States are born out of wedlock. That is the highest of any racial group. Black children are being born into the world without any male parental role models to guide them. The CBS segment covered the symptoms, but they didn't cover the "source" for the creation of the symptoms. When young black women who are single, living in poverty and lack any morality gives birth to a child, what do anyone truly expect is going to happen to that child especially if that child is a boy? When the mother doesn't give a dam and the so called father is out impregnating another young black female, this is what society gets. It's just a fact. I scratch my head in bewilderment, when I hear weak minded blacks criticism of the arrest of young black males for selling drugs. Their arrangement is that blacks are sentenced to harsher sentences for selling crack cocaine then whites are for selling powder cocaine. My thinking is that young black males are selling poison to other blacks, so I have no sympathy for them in regards to whether they are sentenced unfairly or not. Hell, black rappers glorify black drug dealers selling poison in their communities for crying out loud. To be frankly honest, I don't see a reversal of this problem in my life time. The genie has been let out of the bottle. Morality has been replaced with the "ghetto" mindset. This is a video clip from the comic strip the boondocks. The episode is about what would Dr. Martin Luther King say if he was alive in the present day to witness the shape of blacks in America. I wish I could just laugh and say that it isn't true.

The so called black leaders, liberal politicians and the media really don't want to dive head deep into the "real problems" in the black community. First, they could care less as long as blacks come out and vote every election cycle. Second, they don't want the truth known that it was liberalism that was the genesis for what we have to deal with now.

I couldn't add anymore commentary to what I must sadly say is true. What's even more disgusting to me than this troubling trend for young black males is how some blacks have surrendered to the very racial stereotypes that are holding them back. I've seen some videos that stereotype blacks that I believe would get said users banned from youtube if they were white.
Like "Black women dropped the Ball" that video is not only racist but it's very misogynistic. Now here is the sick part it's authored by a black woman.
The dumb heifer responsible for the video is the real one suffering from self-loathing.
The problem with liberals is they think that whatever's good for rich white professional woman living in Manhattan is also good for a poor uneducated undocuumented Chicana living in Fresno.
Give them ALL access to "the morning after pill" (Plan B)instead of exercising Plan A... CONTRACEPTION.

Lack of home training and lack of religious training is mostly responsible. Once upon a timwe men married the women and had children and stayed married, raised the children together. The breakdown in the churches and family has caused some of this mess. When the government started giving welfare to blacks, the men were sent packing, thus making babies all over the hood. I know two men now who have 10 children by ten difference women Most on welfare. Welfare gavwe women freedom from wandring men and the system never enforce payment and most went to jail. Two problems, welfare and jail. I know one family whose boys met their sperm donors in jail. In one school a 9 year old boy was abused by his mother and he was cold as ice. Last I heard, he was in juvenile services. The preachers teach nothing but lies and sex any thing moving. Some not all do this mess, but it has become so prevalent that it has made a mockery of the Bible and most no longer believe in God or the Bible anymore and are left to be sucked into traps set by wolves in sheep's clothing. All the boys see is blaming the white man, then the white man pays taxes ther boys and their mothers use, Since their mothers and fathers mostly didnt pay taxes and they keep making children and demanding money. Some children want to grow up and get on welfare and the boys dont know what to do as the return to the corners to sell dope as mules. Fathers could go around the boys and girls and at least tell the children they love them, and explain that they dont have money but I still love you. Children will feel better.

Lets see what "liberalism" and the "so-called Black leaders", have done for (or as you say, "to") Blacks in America.
It's a fact that it was "liberalism" that caused the politicians and Black leaders (eg; Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, etc...) of the time to end slavery.
It's a fact that "liberalism" and a Black leader (Dred Scott) promoted the idea that Blacks should be considered U.S. citizens.
It's a fact that it was "liberalism" that gave blacks the right to vote.

However Tyrone, to a degree I would agree with your assertion of how Blacks have been effected by becoming "politically Liberal", yet only in part.
Booker T. Washington advocated something he called “go slow” accommodation ism, which called for blacks to accept their present role in White America. Most conservative Whites supported his idea's. Yet, he was attacked by Black leaders who saw "accommodation" as a continuation of inequality. In the 1960's, [converted] Black Conservative George Schuyler was opposed to the liberal philosophy of the civil rights movement. Schuyler also attacked and condemned the efforts of M.L. King. Again, most conservative Whites supported his views.
Again, if "Conservatism" had won out it would suffice to say that "YOU" as a Black conservative, would be against the Civil Rights establishment, you would agree that Blacks should not "rock the boat" and accept being an "independent" underclass, and if allowed to vote, to do so according to a conservative philosophy... Oh wait, that is your ideal...isn't it?
It's not "liberalism", per se', that has caused the problems we have in Black communities. And it's totally clear and apparent that "conservatism" would not have fair better, and in most cases would be worse. I believe it's the idea that Blacks will not, and have not defined ourselves!
To define ourselves means having our own political (spiritual, social, economic) definition. Both "liberal" and "conservative" have proven themselves to be incompatible with Black Americans.

It is liberalism that has caused racial tension, by promoting affirmative action by giving a person who's main qualifier is the color of his or her skin a position and denying a qualified person due to the color of his or her skin. In other words, liberalism is the creator of reverse discrimination.

Blacks would be economically and socially and morally much better off then they are right now that's for sure. The ghetto mindset isn't a conservative trait allen. It's liberal educators that want to teach black kids in ebonics allen. It's liberals who believe that the SAT and other tests should be dumbed down in so blacks students have a better chance in passing them allen.Liberals dont' even have faith that black students can compete with white and Asian students. It's liberals who run the public education systems in the major cities. It's liberals who run the major cities with the highest concentration of blacks.

As long as a large segment of our community continues to believe that it's up to so-called compassionate White liberals to rescue us from our own, poor self - judgement, then our community will continue to lag, economically, spiritually, and politically.
Our society has become so secularized, so morally laxed, that there is virtually no stigma placed behind any form of bad behavior! Diddy. All of these men and many others in the hip hop industry have played into the hands of greedy white executives, who have cashed in exorbitantly, through the arrogance of both black and white consumers. Can you name a "conservative" in the 1800's that was first a slave, then a staunch abolitionist, a supporter of Native American rights, an advocate for an independent rule in Ireland and supported womens suffrage?
It appears as though you're not accepting what conservatism was (and many ways still is) during the years after slavery. Post slavery almost all Democrat politicians were "conservatives." Thats a FACT!

Abortion is Conservative wedge issue!
It's a myth that Black women are "targeted." The CDC 2000 Report shows that compared races of Black/Other abortions with that of Whites the statistics are about the same. Although Blacks have a higher percentage rate of abortion than Whites, in raw numbers (being that Whites out number Blacks by more than 7 times) many more White's have abortions.
The actual target is "YOU." Your conservative leaders want your VOTE! It's fine that you believe that abortion is wrong...thats your opinion and your right. Hell, if my wife, daughter, sister, aunt, or mother expressed they wanted to abort a pregnancy, I would be more than against it! But ultimately, the choice is THEIRS!
In this country a woman has the right to do as she pleases with her own body, be it human inside her, or fetus inside her. Your religious beliefs cannot be dictated to the masses. Thats what the "Republican" appointed Supreme Court Judge Harry Blackmun wrote.
So my advise to you is that, if you're against abortion, don't have one!

Booker T. Washington debated the Communist W.E.Dubois and Booker T made the most sense. He wanted Blacks to have their own businesses and WE wanted all to go to college. Booker said someone had to build houses and farm. Since most blacks at the time had very little education having their own businesses was the best way to rise.
90% of our children share the same father and an old Islamic saying by the Arab Muslim scholar, black women are whores and the children arelike animals not knowing their fathers. Detroit is like many liberal cities out of control. Liberals have destroyed the word of God as writtten by teaching the liberal preachers lies. Let’s look at some statistics (setting aside for the moment institutionalized and/or legalized racism issues, I’ll come back to that):
Prior to Liberalism’s “Help” for minorities (aka LBJ’s civil rights acts)
The Black community had a vibrant family and social life.
The Black community had myriad small businesses.
The Black community had similar crime levels to any other community.
Black on Black violence was unheard of.
The Black community had unwed mother rates similar to the country as a whole.
The Black community had crime rates similar to that of the country as a whole.
The Black community had drug and alcohol abuse rates similar to the country as a whole.
Today:
All of those positives are under extreme pressure and moving in the negative direction.
Sounds like liberalism helped the Black community a great deal.
Back to the institutionalized racism issues. Prior to LBJ’s legislative agenda, segregation and racism (de jure or de facto) were the norm in many places. This was indeed categorically wrong and needed to be righted through legislation. Had true conservative values been applied, ALL communities would have been granted equal opportunity under the law. Instead, the foundations of the problems that the Black community of today faces were laid. Liberals said, in effect, that some people weren’t capable of living in the larger society without special help from the government. They weren’t smart enough, hard working enough, or whatever enough to succeed. So they needed government handouts.
Prior to the start of the handouts, the poverty that existed in the Black community was largely due to the limitations to success that racism and segregation imposed. Take away those limitations, and my contention is that the small businesses would have become larger businesses. These larger businesses would have been the source of greatly increased opportunity for other Blacks. The result would have been the elimination of most of the poverty.
Instead, as those who grew up before LBJ died, the new generation knew only the government programs. The problems grew as a result. It all comes back to the Peace Corps old slogan: “If you give a man a fish, he eats for today. If you teach him to fish, he eats for a lifetime.” The government is dedicated to giving out fish because that gives them power.
If you doubt my theories on this subject, you need only look to all of the other immigrant communities. They’ve succeeded because they’ve avoided the government handouts. And that includes Blacks who have emigrated from other countries who didn’t have the mindset that they could only survive by a dependence on the government.

Good-hearted liberal politicians continually vote to spend more and more and more on public education, especially in the big cities, yet black males drop out of public schools at alarming rates.
For whatever reason exists (and I'd say the lack of a stable two-parent family is a big part of it), the urban black sub-culture discourages males from staying in school and studying hard, and encourages them to drop out.
Once that happens, bam! it's pretty much over. You have 14 and 15 year old boys taking one of the most important decisions in their lives, decisions which will impact everything else that follows in their lives.
The Democrats can't deal with this problem, because to deal with it means to criticize their most important constituency, and the last thing that the Democrats want to do is anger black voters.
The largest group of racists in this country are white Democratic politicians: they simply don't believe that blacks can handle the truth, and they desperately need American blacks to be subservient to the handout government. For white Democrats to actually respect black Americans as real people is to risk the possibility that some of them will think independently and, horrors! maybe vote Republican.

Unfortunately, you didn't get it straight. I said nothing of the sort.

Now, please allow me to set you straight...
Tyrone, and many other Black conservatives have been told that the misery in many Black communities has been caused by "liberalism" via the Democratic Party. I contend that such an idea is merely a well thought out political "talking-point" strategy designed to sway black voters to the Republican side.
What we're talking about here is called a "voting bloc." Politically, voting blocs are very powerful and can sway elections. The only type of unity Blacks do have in this country is our nearly monolithic vote. Like any other voting bloc (eg; religious, labor, business, etc...) the Black vote is sought after by politicians at every level of the game.
Contrary to what you're being told by "White Conservative politicians", the fact is they could care as less about the misery in Black communities to the same degree as "White Liberal politicians." Basically, there's no difference between the two... THEY BOTH WANT YOUR VOTE! No more, no less...
I don't want to get into a long history lesson here, so I'll just make my point. All one has to do is follow the historic patterns of Blacks in America an the obvious should become abundantly clear.
There is no proof that if Blacks voted Republican over the last 60 years that our plight would be any different. Would there be more Black doctors, engineers, astronauts, businessmen, black owned corporations, television stations, hospitals, etc..?? Would voting Republican have prevented the 73% out of wedlock birthrate? Would there be less Black on Black violence? Can you for certain show undeniable PROOF that voting for the Republican white would have made us better than voting for the Democrat white??

Desegregation (as it was framed by "ALL WHITE POLITICIANS") was the worse thing to happen to Blacks. Yes, all those things you mentioned in your post (vibrant family and social life, myriad small businesses, similar crime levels, etc...) were part of daily Black life. However, I blame ourselves, and us alone for allowing others to draw our path!
We didn't need their jobs... we had our own already! We didn't need their housing...we had our own! We didn't need their stores, schools, churches, social venues or politicians!
It didn't take 10 years after the "forced" desegregation practices that Black professionals began leaving the neighborhoods that bore and bred them, for neighborhoods (in most cases) that did not want them there. Subsequently, the positive role models and staples of many Black communities were gone.
Yet, don't take my assertion the wrong way. I don't believe in the "separate but equal" doctrine. My idea is that Blacks should hold our own! Such as the Jews, the newly arrived Arab communities or many of the other so-called minorities in America. We should have our own prosperous economic, educational, social, political and spiritual identity! We don't the Democratic nor the Republican party identity or agenda.
Until we decide to join together (economic, educational, social, political and spiritual) to change the course of our communities, both parties will continue to play us for their own political gain.

I didn't agree with her politics but she definitely put that ignorant Melosidad1 in her place. I believe black folks can only rise when they reject the poison of identity politics.
Seems that identity politics is another form of brainwashing. Belonging to a victim group means you are not given the freedom to decide for yourself what's best for you. Only your so called representatives are given that privilege. If my rejecting their poison makes me a traitor than so be it.

Again, conservatives of the 1960's aren't necessarily your conservatives of today. The conservative of 1960 not only would have, but did vote to continue to deny Blacks equal status in America. Jim Crow might have been a Democrat, but he was conservative as conservative could get!
What you're not calculating is what conservatism meant during the era of LBJ. Had conservative won the Civil Rights battle, laws preventing your "Black tush" from voting, attending the school or college of your choice, marrying who you please, traveling or living where you please, would still be around today, "resisting any urges to make too-rapid changes."

Here's a quick short story...a true story...
An Armenian businessman owned a used car business. He had 2 sons and a daughter. One year, due his failing health, the father turned his business over to his children. Due to his culture and a long standing tradition, the father gave total control of the business to his two sons, with instructions that the daughter may only work in the business, but could not own any part of the business.
Several years went by and the children, all working together, grew the business into a multi million dollar new car dealer. The father, who's health had improved, suddenly realized that what he had done was wrong, and that his daughters work had contributed just as much, if not more, into building the business.
When the father told the 2 sons he had made mistake and they need to evenly share ownership with the daughter, of course all hell broke loose. Although the daughter worked jsut as hard in the business, each brother contended that his efforts in building the business are now being stripped away, being short changed, thus weakening himself and the business.
Similarly, that story is a mirror image of the plight of much of the opportunity where America has excluded Blacks. Large Black owned corporations that would rival Ford, Walmart, Berkshire Hathaway, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., IBM, Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, etc...
Up until the 1980's much of the opportunity to build large black owned business in this country was limited to entertainment or products directly aimed at blacks.
Had the few successful blacks in the 50's and 60's banded together and started corporations geared to train, educate and employ blacks, it wouldn't have mattered what political affiliation we had taken up.
Tyrone I heard today that the Commies and Socialist will have no need for Obama if he stops doing what they want. Very true. Morality is bleeding from the black community. At it's core, that is the problem. Back during the civil rights movement, blacks had a completely different mindset then they do now. What a difference 45 years can make. There was no ghetto mindset in the black community.

Tyrone, the Republicans are more than free to open banks, stores and shops in any black community. I'm sure any black community would welcome a Republican based or backed business to move in and create good paying jobs within the community. Here in Detroit there have been at least 100 schools closed due to failing academics or low population. The call has been put out for "anyone", so any conservative organization is welcome. Conservatives and Republicans are welcome any time, in any Black community in America.

I used to believe that it was the democrats who helped civil rights but later i found out that it was the REPUBLICANS who signed the bill,LBJ just OK'd it-- it was EISENHAUER a republican who desegregated the military, and also after the civil war, it was republican blacks who became senators in the south, after the civil war etc. if you go on wallbuilders.org, you will know the truth---them southern crackas lied to us, and we still believe it---also the rap artists are the sambos today!!
sigh---I wrote about this before i saw the fight--I'm sick and tired of black women trying to be like men and the men thinking its cool watching this!! I'm tired of people who are my ethnicity are being made to look like freaks and unworthy of male attraction and respect--I know that they dont know any better--I also know that, although other ethnicities have their moments, the're nothing compared to black men and women---we got WORSE with desegregation because 'hard core' liberals used the civil rights era to 'let it all hang out' the difference was they had a lot more going for them, and could afford it while we blacks were just getting out of a bad situation, or starting our businesses to cater to non-blacks, etc.but that got shutdown with radical feminism, etc.
You nailed on the head. I have so many students who don't have a good male authority figure in the household that the BSU adviser is going to start a mentorship program where I teach to help those kids out. And sadly it's not just the black kids, the Hispanic students have the same issues at my school. It makes my job that much harder.
