Progressives hate Tim Tebow NOT because he is a Christian. They are uncomfortable and hate the "kind of Christian" he is.
I just got finished the video this morning, and I think I did a pretty good job explaining the true reason a certain percentage of progressives hate the air Tim Tebow breathes. It really has to do more about the type of Christian Tim Tebow is. Remember, progressives are ok with Christians as long as they don't act like one and go against what Christians support. In other words, Christians In Name Only.

In my opinion conservatives have overblown the whole Tim Tebow "religious Christian celebrity" ordeal. Frankly, I think it's wrong to mount an attack on anyone because of their religion. However, it is Tebow himself that has called the attention to his faith.
I well remember the controversy caused by former NBA player Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf. Abdul Rauf cited his religion when he refused to stand for The Star-Spangled Banner before games. He was slammed by fans, sports writers and pundits alike.
Some might attempt to cite a difference by implying Abdul Rauf's actions were "un-American." However the fact remains that his "actions", such as Tebows "actions", are guided by his religion. Therefore there is no difference between the two.
I've yet to heat Tebow return, or trade attacks with those who criticize his actions. In my opinion he's taking the right road by not doing so. Conversely, I wonder what conservatives would say if NBA player, Rasheed Wallace were to give praise to "Alah or the Prophet Mohammad" after winning a game...

Tebow has had a positive effect, I can't say where this instance is related but in today's game in the first half, the Patriot went down, looked like a bad leg injury and the brought the rolling stretcher out but I saw a Bronco go over, kind of light touch the guy's helmet, this happened with two different Broncos, I wasn't even watching it closely so I don't know who the two were. Okay, you've often had opposing players that show some concern when an opponent gets a hard hit but I think this was a little different. I think there was more care and concern and thank goodness, it was not a life threatening type of injury that happens every once in a while.
The Broncos are surely going to lose this one but if that is how they act, they are big winners in my book.
Allen if the Muslims expect respect, then tell the truth. The fact that they belong to a religion the calls everyone who is not a Muslim an infidel, an ape or a pig, and that the black men are less tyhan a donkey's penis and they are black, and their mothers are caled stupid and a sign of a bad disease, they need no respect. Any black man or woman who join such crap needs no respect. I have no respect for the KKK or the NAZIs, so why respect Islam or Muslims. Blacks are defined as the DEVIL and every despicable name ever by Muhammad aka Allah.

Alpha male you talk about how progressives hate tebow and christians. But right here is an example of someone who hates and attacks an entire religion and its people. Didn't the world go through this once with a guy named hitler? Hate for any religion is never good for all religions because yours can be next.

The sports media is so predictable. They are writing stories saying that Tom Brady crushed Tebow mania, and that Tom Brady knocked Tim Tebow back down to size. They got their wish in Tebow and the Broncos losing to the Pats, but they didn't get their wish in lowering the volume on Tebow and his fans.

Yeah, but we live with all the warped values of liberals to begin with. Yes, many many Muslims, perhaps the vast majority are very good people. I know some are.
