The Cain train's finale destination "the scrap heap" of political history.

The Cain train has been officially derailed. I was busy yesterday, so I didn't have time to comment on the "suspension" of Herman Cain's presidential bid.

I really don't know what to say about Cain's campaign to begin with. For how unorthodox it was, he actually had a shot at winning the nomination. As much as I talked about the left trying to lynch Cain based on him being a black conservative, Herman had more to do with him putting the noose around his own neck then liberals did, sad to say. Locality is a good trait to have, but something good loyality to a person can come back to hurt you in ways you would least expect it. Mark Block was Cain's campaign manager, and he was a good one at a certain level in the campaign, when Cain was back in the single digits a few months ago in the polls. Clearly Mark Block was way over his head when the allegations first broke. I remember his responses on Fox News with Geraldo when the news first broke. I had a face palm moment watching him. It wasn't really the allegations that had me sighing, it was how Block and eventually Cain reacted to it. It was well known that Bill Clinton had affairs as Governor of Arkansas, but it didn't impact him in his run for president. Clinton surrounded himself with the best political strategists in the business who could spin straw into gold if need be. Cain who talked about surrounding himself with the best minds if he was president did not have a top level crisis management team to advise him when the allegations became known. Conservatives gave Cain the benefit of the doubt for awhile thanks to the rightful distrust of the media and knowing how the Democratic operatives are known for creating false rumors about conservative and Republican candidates. The perfect example is the wild rumors and allegations that were created about Sarah Palin for well over three years. Eventhough Cain was still threading water, it was the last female Ginger White who ultimately derailed the Cain train. His supporters were ready to defend him like they have with all the other accusers, but Ginger's story was different. Her story wasn't about a one time encounter with Cain fifteen years ago, she alleged that she and Cain have had an ongoing affair for thirteen years. It wasn't until Cain admitted giving money to Ginger without his wife knowing about it that it was clear he was done as a candidate. It's ok to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this was the one instant that a story couldn't be dismissed as a left wing ploy to bring down a black conservative. I hate to sound cruel in saying this, but the imploding of Herman Cain actually is a blessing for the Republican Party and conservatives overall. I'm glad that all of this stuff has come out now prior to the primaries. Can you imagine what would have happened if this all would have broke one month before the General Election if Cain won the nomination? It would have been an easy win for Obama hands down. Sometimes things work out in ways you least expect them to. It would have been great to have had a business person as President, but we never know what the future holds. It still may happen someday if our country is still around. The only person I wanted to run for president was Sarah Palin. I liked Cain, but I never endorsed him as my candidate, because my candidate after Palin was Rick Santorum. Maybe the Cain supporters will gravitate towards him. As I see it, he's the only true conservative in the race next to Michelle Bachmann. The lesson to in the Herman Cain saga is simple. You better make sure that if you have any dirty laundry in your past and is planing on running for president as a Republican, Quit before you run. IT WILL COME OUT!

Staunch conservative, George Will, called Cain an Entrepreneurial Charlatan. I guess you can launch your attacks on Will now that he's spoke his mind...

However, Will is right! The GOP primary race has turned into a circus. Sure, anyone of age and born in the U.S. can run for president. But when the front runner is a "carnival barking TV reality show host" who claims he would "take the oil from the Arabs", or a "pizza restaurant executive", who can't tell you how or why the U.S. is currently involved in a military operation, you have to stop and question their legitimacy.

Herman Cain is not a politician. I know for some crazy reason, the idea that he isn't, is appealing to some conservative voters. However what you people didn't take into account is that he's not presidential material.

On more that one occasion Cain has shown that he doesn't understand commonly basic domestic and foreign situations that, at the very least, your average pundit or talk show host should know. If you can't offer a basic explanation or opinion on your own country's current involvement in a war, no amount of briefing or "suggestions from the generals" will help you make a sound presidential decision.

Secondly, Cain had to know that he had the skeletons of the harassment allegations in his closet. He basically admits his affair with a woman who he claims he gave money to for thirteen years, allegedly just to "help her out." Was he so naive to think that this wouldn't come out if he ran for PRESIDENT???

Cain is a motivational speaking businessman... and apparently a damn good one. He may have thought that he really could have won the nomination. But if he didn't, he knew that the run would rise his star among the conservative bloc. In my opinion, that's all he was truly after.

On a few levels, Herman Cain turned out to be a world class jerk:
Adultery - Having cheated on his wife, he must have known it would come out, if he ran for US president. He should have just confessed and repented to God and his wife. Instead she found out by the media. By the time Ginger White spoke publically, Cain was " toast." All those women were not lying, and if they were as part of a conspiracy, fierce denials and lawwsuits against each would have been fitting. Note to presidential candidates: Start running in kindergarten because that is where the scrutiny starts.
Hypocrisy - touted as some kind of baptist minister, another bad rap to be magnified by unbelievers. Actually for truth seekers Cain is an example why souls should seek the true church of Christ, rather than 20,000 false sectarian religions. Plus, Cain said "God told me to run." A lie (sin) putting words into God's mouth. Political seekers should be humble and cautious in invoking God's name. God's word and will is public and provable and there is no individual inside track to God (such as Pat Robertson's "God told me..." lies).
Opportunism - Cain's campaign for president, and all the media attention that comes with it, coincided with his tour to promote his book. But it backfired. Never before fully vetted for national political office, this process revealed what can happen to a person overtaken by riches, power, pride and brazenness.

So let me see if I have to this right allen. My views are suppose to be in sync with George Will because? This is where you fill in the rest. I'm not apart of a monolithic voting block that votes like sheep unlike some allen, cough, cough. I can give a rat's rear end what George Will has to say. You should know by now that tactic of bringing up what other conservatives say doesn't work with me. Of course you would agree with Will, he said something that bashes the GOP primary race DUH!! The fact is that the primaries haven't even started yet, and the election next year comes down to Obama's record and whether he deserved to be re elected. That's it and nothing more. If I was a Democrat, I would try to make it about who the Republicans have, but people vote according to how their economic conditions are at that point in time and how they feel the economy is going to be under the current leadership going into the future. What you are talking about is trivial at best allen. If the economy was getting better under Obama, the GOP wouldn't have had their landslide victory last year in congress.

P allen "Herman Cain is not a politician. "

Can't put nothing pass you allen. How long did it take for you to fiugre that one out?

p allen "I know for some crazy reason, the idea that he isn't, is appealing to some conservative voters. However what you people didn't take into account is that he's not presidential material. "

You mean presidential material as in acting and being fake? Caring what political consultants say how a candidate should act. Treat the entire presidential race alike a big American idol contest? Some of our greatest presidents weren't even politicians. It's actually said that most of our presidents have been lawyers at one time in their careers. Clinton was a lawyer and so was Obama.

p allen "On more that one occasion Cain has shown that he doesn't understand commonly basic domestic and foreign situations that, at the very least, your average pundit or talk show host should know. "

Obama just recently referred to Hawaii as Asia, claimed he visited 57 states when he was running for president, and claimed that Afghans speak Arabic. If a knowledge of foreign policy was so important to you, would have been criticizing all candidates, that being Obama as well allen. You are as usual being phony. If Cain would have called Hawaii Asia, you would be laughing at how dumb you think he is.

As for skeletons. Most people to this day really still don't know much about Obama's background. There was an allegation that he had a homosexual affair with a member of his church. I gave the benefit of the doubt to Obama, because there was no proof to back that allegation up. See unlike you, I can be fair. If Cain was Herman Cain black liberal democrat, he would have been ok, he simply had the wrong political affiliation for the media's liking.

The movie "The Birth of a Nation" which told the whites that Black men would rape their women was shown at the "PICNIC" LAST MONTH. Herman Cain was the star. The crackers, both black and white were full of glee. The Black crackers were Cornell West, the Black Marxist and Van Jones, the whatever Democrat Travis Smiley, Danny Glover and Harry Belefonte cracked their whips at the glee of all Cain haters and the white women who brought Cain down. The picnic, we were all invited to see the picaninny Hermain Cain hanged after the whip was cracked. A Cracker had nothing to do with the color of the skin, it was their job. Black crackers and white crackers beat slaves for various crimes. As they beat ther slave, the whip made a crackling sound, thus they were called CRACKERS.

The white Democrats wanted to keep slavery in tact 150 years ago, they found a way in the 1960s with specious "civil rights" programs that brought about a larger collapse of the black family and financial independence than slavery had, and they still garner power of blacks (90% vote Democrat) with promises of treats, much how you'd train your dog. Hard to believe it works so well with "proud people."
