Rick Santorum is a FAKE and is ANTI TEA PARTY.

As of today, I am no longer supporting Rick Santorum for President and I urge Tea Party voters to do the same. Millions of Tea Party voters have been played. I have to unfortunately put myself into that category. Everyone who has read this blog knows that I placed my support behind Rick Santorum to win the GOP nomination a few weeks ago. All I can say is that, nobody is perfect. I mad a mistake. Rick Santorum has been going around on the campaign stumps trying to convince Tea Party folks and conservatives in general that he is the only consistent conservative in the race. I bought that line, but I should have done more research on Santorum. I just found out today that there really is no difference between him and Mitt Romney. The Republican establishment hates the Tea Party and apparently Rick Santorum feels the same way, he just hasn't told them that. A friend sent me this video today. Judge for yourself.

There isn't a logic explanation that Santorum can give to his own words. Tea Party voters need to be aware of how Rick Santorum truly feels about them. He is a fake, and he needs to be exposed for such. For the record, I still do not support Ron Paul for president. I'm just using the video to highlight Santorum. I don't now what kind of conservative Santorum claims to be. Obviously he isn't a fiscal conservative, because that is the platform of the Tea Party. Maybe Santorum supports big government neo conservatism. It sounds that way to me, but it isn't the real thing and neither is he.

It goes to show that most politicians would say anything to get your vote and support, then they'll you in the back.

I keep asking myself, Why do I bother to vote? when my candidates turn out to be phonies?

Last year I indicated that Mitt Romney was the only candidate that could possibly win against President Obama. At this point appears that Romney is going to be the G.O.P. nominee.

I've done research on Romney, and his overall background is scarey. First off, everyone knows Romney will say anything to get elected. His so-called "flip-flops" (a.k.a. LIES) are proof positive that he can't be trusted. If you think "crony capitalism" is a problem now, if a Mitt Romney is elected expect to see it multiply by ten fold. You can also say goodby to the middle-class and expect an acceleration of the transfer of wealth from the lower classes to the super rich.

The conservatives don't like Romney because of his once liberal social views. What they don't look at is the overall deceptions that has guided his political and private business life. Romney's record as governor of Massachusetts is less than impressive. Yet he attempts (LIES) about his accomplishments, or the lack there of.

Massachusetts was near the bottom in job creation, increased taxes and left the state with a $1 billion deficit under Romney, as pointed out by the right-wing organization Red State.

The right-wing has demonized President Obama to a point where Republicans would vote for a Jack Abramoff or a Bernie Madoff before allowing President Obama another term.

Cutting off your nose to spite your face seems to be the path the G.O.P. wishes to take. If you think the economy is bad now, putting a Mitt Romney in the oval office would be a sure path to another 2008-type economic disaster.

I think Rick Santorum first and foremost is a Social conservative

"Maybe Santorum supports big government neo conservatism."

And his economic views are secondary to his social views.

Santorum, an American of Italian descent gets mentioned on the Sopranos and this was about the "social issue" of gays.

Santorum to me is actually a bit "unformed" economically. I like some of what he says like England as a first language, I still think he has some good ideas.

Thomas Sowell has said in his column vote Gingrich (and look past his past faults) - who has a conservative track record. It seems that to avoid nominating a Dole/McCain/Romney, conservatives must quit splitting their vote (Bachmann, Perry, Gingrich, Santorum, Paul is 5 splits). Ron Paul supporters will stay with him no matter what, so that is some points gone. But according to your blog the so-called evangelicals messed up in picking Santorum. It seems the only way to defeat Romney is to consolidate the conservative vote behind say, a Gingrich-Perry ticket.

So true. It's lying politicians that have screwed our country over, even though the scum in Washington would love to blame capitalism and business in order to take the attention off of them. I am now more convinced then ever that vetting a candidate is crucial in considering him or her for public office.

p allen "Last year I indicated that Mitt Romney was the only candidate that could possibly win against President Obama. At this point appears that Romney is going to be the G.O.P. nominee. "

As much as I would LOVE to disagree with you, you may be actually right for once allen. It must going to snow tomorrow. Huntsman dropped out, and he was pretty much in the same mold as Romney. Newt has some serious character flaws and is sounding more like an Occupy Wall Street protester then a conservative in his attacks on Romney's time at Baine Capital. Rick Perry is sounding the same way with his bellowing about "Vulture Capitalism". The only ones left are Santorum and Ron Paul. Santorum is out for me. That leaves Mitt and Ron. I'm not faced with a good choice at all. I guess I have to watch the debate tonight in South Carolina and reassess my choices.

shwn "The tea drinkers is a failed movement. Especially when Mitt Romney becomes President"

Failed movement shwn? Oh I don't think so. The tea party was responsible the 2010 turn over in congress. The tea party is more visible and organized then any progressive group like Moveon.org. The tea party hasn't been doing much of anything lately simple because 2011 wasn't an election year. They will be out. If Romney wins the nomination, he knows he has to get their support. That is why he is calling himself a conservative more so these days then ever before.

@tyrone you call the tea drinkers putting in place the worst congress on record a accomplishment.

Shwn has a point Tyrone. The Tea Party organized, promoted, and elected the WORST CONGRESS EVER POLLED. I believe this is why Romney hasn't been going all out to court to Tea Party vote.

Come election day, I'm sure the conservatives along with the Tea Party'ers will hold their noses and vote for Romney, mostly out of spite for President Obama. What we're not sure of are the independent's. I believe that the tide will turn when Romney's flip=flops on abortion comes to bite him in the butt. He's going to be forced to take a hard line on abortion which will turn millions of independents against him.

His next problem will come from the Occupy Wall-street supporters. Today Romney claimed that he paid "somewhere around the fifteen percent rate" in income taxes. Most people believe he paid a lot less. If he doesn't release his tax information before the general election, President Obama will score major points hitting him with it.

You were OK with Santorium playing with his dead baby, but you're turned off by evidence of an early moment of lucidity when he saw the Tea Party for what it was?

Gee, Tyrone, I have no idea why you're having a hard time coming up with a solid GOP candidate this year!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Don't worry. After Jingrich once and for all goes down in flames, Our Gal, Sarah Palin is going to make a late run for the nomination. It's been a while since we've seen a decision come down to the wire on the convention floor -- but that's what we'll have this time.
