Is Barack Obama equal to the great presidents who are on Mount Rushmore?
For the record, I am not intoxicated nor have I taken a few hits from the Obama Choom gang special. I personally would never ask such a stupid question like that the one I posted in the title. I'll go into details about who did ask such a moronic question in a bit. The national media is slowing dying in America, and all I can say is "it's about time". More people are finally waking up and seeing what the national media truly is, a propaganda arm for the Democratic Party. Nobody minds political commentators either on the right or the left saying what they believe, what people do mind and do not appreciate is political commentators being passed off by news networks as "journalists". If you think you understand how deep the disturbing love affair by the so called mainstream media is for Obama, you really haven't scratched the surface of their cult worship for him. I've goofed on over the years about Obama's most noted cheerleader, admirer, the bleached blond, air head, dim bulb Chris "Tingles" Matthews. Sometimes, I swear that Chris has a tingle in his shorts for Obama more so then his leg. Let me put it like this, I've never witnessed nor heard any conservative commentator praise Bush the way Chris Matthews praises Obama on a nightly basis. To Matthews, Obama is easily the greatest person ever to occupy the White House. On President's Day, Chris Matthews asked a funny yet very stupid question that I eluded to earlier, "Is Obama set on becoming one of the greatest presidents in history". The question Chris asked was absurd, because certain presidents have become great due to "their great historic deeds which made them great". Obama has done nothing great in order to be praised as being great. There is only one historic aspect to Barack Obama, That it is that he was elected due to the color of his skin. With everything from the national debt to the economy going in the wrong direction under Obama, I just can't help but to picture Chris Matthews in a white straight jacket every time he gushes in his praise for a man who has done nothing historic to warrant it.
If you think that I am exagrrating about Chris Matthews die hard devotion to Barack Obama, see for yourself.. Is it the job of a so called journalist to make sure that a person succeeds as president?

I couldn't finish listening to Matthews. I stopped when he made a remark about proper journalism.
Just when you think you've heard everything.
This guy missed the biggest story in politics in our lifetime, The Tea Party.
Not only that but when he was grudgingly forced into late analysis he disparaged them. Some journalist. He makes me furious.
The problem with journalism is that it has become akin to an adversarial system wrapped in political punditry. On this subject Tyrone I agree with you 100%.
The fact is, yet again, both right and left wing so-called "News" outlets promote a partisan agenda. What they both ignore is that politician are human and will make mistakes. Moreover, "all politicians lie!" Yet depending on the mistake that's made, or the lie that's told, the pundits and bias media supporters will go to bat for that politician, while the other side goes on the attack.
From the article you linked to;
"The trend everywhere in the news business is toward more openly, avowedly partisan commentary, and away from the plain vanilla, down-the-middle variety (which has biases of its own)".
-David Ignatius
However...(I think you would know the "however" was coming), you yourself are just as guilty as those you claim. You don't see it, but you blindly support obvious lies and political mistakes made by right-wing politicians. If memory serves me correctly, you were a supporter of the war in Iraq, when history clearly now shows it was perpetrated on a lie, and was a waste of American lives and resources.
As far as Mount Rushmore, I could care less who else's face they carve in the rock. At one time there was a movement to have Ronald Reagan's face carved in. I could care less...
For those who have never been to South Dakota to see the mountain, there's a road on the other side of the mountain.
Heres what Mount Rushmore looks like from the other side.
Allen-"Heres what Mount Rushmore looks like from the other side."
LOL! I think it's a metaphor what Obama had in mind: for people to go and kiss his ass; even if his head was on Mt. Rushmore. I guess that's what Chris Matthews has been doing for quite some time.

Mathews needs to get over his man crush.
Thomas Jefferson might have been the one who wanted the least Government. Theodore Roosevelt was a Progressive. Abe was not the good guy everyone thinks he is. No one should be idolized though. These man are dead. If there is any meaningful legacy they might have left behind, then that might amount to something.
That image is amusing. It reminds me of something an Anti-Statist might post, someone who is tired of all Government. The control, lies, deceptions, manipulation, few good intentions leaving bad consequences behind. Welfare being a good example. Of course i am as much against the Warfare State as i am the Welfare State. Both are destroying lives.
Speaking of Abe, some interesting facts...

Vincent " I couldn't finish listening to Matthews. I stopped when he made a remark about proper journalism."
The absolute irony for tingles to say such a thing about proper journalism is beyond hypocritical to the point of being flat out hysterically laughable Vincent. He should be notified that being a slobbering propaganda spewing mouth piece doesn't constitute being a journalist.
p allen "The fact is, yet again, both right and left wing so-called "News" outlets promote a partisan agenda."
If you are referring to Fox News promoting a right wing partisan agenda, let me stop you right there. There are no news anchors on Fox that promotes the GOP's position. People like Bill O'Reily, Sean Hannity are commentators and not news anchors nor journalists. Also, Fox News has more liberal commentators on it's channel then CNN and MSNBC have conservative commentators combined. Fox News sticks out to the left simply because it doesn't follow the progressive script the others networks follows.
p allen "What they both ignore is that politician are human and will make mistakes. Moreover, "all politicians lie!""
Oh really, all politicians lie? That's rich allen for you to say that. I remember when congressman Joe Wilson told Obama he lied during the SOTU address back in 09, the left had an absolute meltdown hissy fit! Everything tha has come out of Obama's mouth has been a lie one after another. I don't recall you ever calling him out on any of the allen for some reason. Maybe you like lies as long as they come from him?
p allen "Yet depending on the mistake that's made, or the lie that's told, the pundits and bias media supporters will go to bat for that politician, while the other side goes on the attack."
Good thing I am not in that category. I don't need pundits to shape my views on who to support or who to not like.
-FJ "Mathews needs to get over his man crush."
It won't happen anytime soon. When tingles is gushing over Obama like a love sick school girl, the Whitney Houston Bodyguard song should be playing in the background to really drive the point home. I wonder does Mathews have some erotic fantasies about his chocolate stud puppy.
CB-"With everything from the national debt to the economy going in the wrong direction under Obama, I just can't help but to picture Chris Matthews in a white straight jacket every time he gushes in his praise for a man who has done nothing historic to warrant it."
The only historic significant for what Obama has done for the country was to break the color barrier by becoming the first black President of the United States. Oh, and he killed Osama bin Laden.

CB;"If you are referring to Fox News promoting a right wing partisan agenda, let me stop you right there. There are no news anchors on Fox that promotes the GOP's position".
Ohh boy...It's just as I said; "you yourself are just as guilty as those you claim!"
CB;"People like Bill O'Reily, Sean Hannity are commentators and not news anchors nor journalists. Also, Fox News has more liberal commentators on it's channel then CNN and MSNBC have conservative commentators combined".
Here's the rub. Regardless of what you think about FOX News's line up, the truth prevails. Who runs FOX News? If you believe that Roger Ailes directs his employee's to "play it straight, give both sides of the story with no personal bias or input", you're just as stupid as he wants you to be! Moreover, both Roger Ailes and Rupert Murdock's political bias is hardly a secret.
You just don't get it, do you Tyrone? "YOU" gave a link to the article written by David Ignatius where he clearly explains that bias is occurring across the board in the News reporting business. Yet, you believe that Fox News doesn't promote a right-wing agenda? When you ignore the facts, you'll never get the story right nor ever know the truth. As I said, you're no different than those you accuse.
