Jon Stewart doesn't understand the real world of EBT card absue.

I grew up in the city of Baltimore. I lived in neighborhoods where white liberals wouldn't dare set foot in to visit on a bet. Funny how these people truly do not have a grasp of what goes on in the real world. Um, the real world is the world that exists beyond the white picket fence houses they grew up in in the suburbs. If a person brings up the fact that food stamp abuse is going on, liberals will be quick to poo poo the person who would dare say such a thing (fact) as either being clueless or worse (being a racist). Even though more white Americans are on food stamps then blacks based on the population sizes of each race, it still doesn't stop progressives from whipping out the race card when someone criticizes food stamp abuse. The self absorb comedian Jon Stewart decided to take a swipe at Fox News for daring to do their job on reporting about the government fraud of welfare abuse. Eric Bolling of Fox News rebutted Jon, but Eric actually left some key points out.

In typical naive liberal fashion Jon truly believes Food Stamps are used for just "FOOD". He was so proud in his segment as "being in the know". What Eric said however was correct. EBT cards and Independence cards have been used for products that are "NOT" food. Ah if only the elitist liberal Jon Stewart would take a trip outside his false concept of reality and take a trip into the real world, he would see how the real world operates.

And to think he called Eric Boiling a dummy, yet Boiling was knowledgeable about real life abuse of EBT cards. What Boiling left out is that some people who have EBT cards do hang around supermarkets and try to sell their benefits to shoppers for cash money. Now anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that once these people receive cash for their benefits, they aren't going to turn around and by food with it. Others are using their EBT cards to withdraw cash at strip club, liquor stores and casinos. Something tell me that they aren't buying food with that money, sorry Jon.

It looks like Jon and people like him are the dummies for again not knowing how the real world works.

Tyrone, please allow me to "jack this thread" and go a bit off topic.

Here in Michigan the Koch brother funded group, "Americans for Prosperity", are running an ad featuring a woman named, "Julie Boonstra." In the ad she weeps and excoriates Obama Care as "unafforable" and that the program “jeopardize's her health.”

Lo' and behold, information surfaces that Mrs. Boonstra is actually saving money with her new Obama Care Health Plan. the Washington Post, The Detroit News and several other "non-partisan" news sources are reporting that Mrs. Boonstra is not tell the complete truth.

Mrs. Boonstra also told the Detroit News that she was not politically active. Okay fine, she might not be, however, her ex-husband Mark Boonstra is very active, a former chairman of the Washtenaw County Republican Committee, and an appointed by the Republican governor Court of Appeals Judge. Who would-ah' thunk it...

Okay Tyrone, you've attacked Jon Stewart for making a "false assertion." Let's agree and say that Stewart was wrong. So i'm sure you will agree that the producers of the anti-Obama care ad (AFP) are intentionally misleading viewers?

The Washington Post excused away the ad considering it a rather straight forward story.

So excuse me if I don't give much credence to what the comes from the Washington Post.

One ad doesn't mean that there are millions of people who haven't been dropped by the insures under Obamacare and can't afford new coverage allen. That is what you are missing. The law is called the affordable health act,yet Obama is telling people to cancel their phone bills, cable bills etc if they can't afford to pay for obamacare so that they can

It seems like the only time the Washington Post or the New York Times goes into "fact finding mode" so to speak is when there is an ad put out by a right leaning group or a conservative says something damaging to a democrat. It must be my imagination I suppose. As for Ms Boonstra, I heard something about her situation a few months ago. I just googled it, it appears every left wing blog has picked up on the Washington Post "fact check". For as far as I know the facts might be puffed, all wrong or a half truth. I wonder where was the Washington Post when the ad from the ObamaSuper PAC featuring a man Joe Soptic who basically said that Mitt Romney was responsible for his wife's death?

You remember that right allen?

Wait a minute...even though I don't believe that's what the president meant, isn't that a "conservative" mantra that the poor has to much "stuff?"

Fox News's Stuart Varney and the Heritage Foundation seems to think so.

"ONE AD???" That's not the only so-called Obama "Scare" story that has been debunked. How about "ALL OF THEM!"

Real Estate Agent Deborah Cavallaro.

Bette (in Spokane) Grenier who's story was told as part of the Republican Party rebuttal at the 2014 State of the Union address by House Republican Conference Chair Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

Jessica Sanford, the parent of an ADHD-diagnosed child that claimed she was "screwed" by Obama Care> It was revealed that she was eligible for Medicaid coverage for $30 a month.

Ashley Dionne, the "college graduate" that said she has asthma, ulcers, and mild cerebral palsy. Dionne claimed her insurance premiums went from $75 to $300 a month. Not true! It was found that according to her income she would pay $22 a month for better insurance than what she had. In Michigan she's eligible for Medicaid, which cost's "0."

All three of the so-called victims that appeared on Sean Hannity's show last year.

If you want more, just ask...

So, if "MILLIONS" of people are being abused and tortured by the totally unaffordable and abusive lie's of Obama Care, why are all these so-called "horror stories" being debunked? Why are these people so willing to claim that they are being screwed, yet every single one that goes "viral" turns out to be misleading and/or totally false? Common sense tells me that there's a campaign of propaganda going on when story after story turns out to be misleading and/or false.

I was watching “Hannity” last night where the interviewed a character known as “The Surfer Dude”, who is unemployed and proud to be collecting food stamp benefits without any regrets.

This “Surfer Dude”, it was apparent that he was stoned, after he said that he never takes drugs or drinks. Sean Hannity offered to hook this guy up with an $80k job as a truck driver in North Dakota, which he surprisingly turned down. All he talked about was his “band”, which he’s not getting paid to perform, and claims that he has a record label in discussion in signing up him and his “band.” Most of those who posted on Hannity’s Facebook page, offered to drop everything and offer their services to take that truck driving job; especially those who out looking for job and are living on hard times.

Ok, I’m going to be real here: even if this guy did accept the $80k truck driving job, who in their right mind hire this guy when he is so incoherent all the time, especially during his interview with Hannity? Also, if I were a record producer, and I see this guy has talent, and I see him behave this way, before I were to sign him, I would give this guy a chance to prove himself, by going out and find a job and work his butt and earn his wage and pay his bill. If he can do that, then I might consider signing him. But most record labels, I notice never drop their talent in a heartbeat when they are straying on the wrong path; because they are making so much money off of them.

Here is an idea I plan on proposing to send to my congressman:

I believe that there are people who apply for public assistance are not proud of it; they apply because they are in a rough patch in their life and they need to get back on their feet. But those who do apply and choose not to do anything with their lives, like the “Surfer Dude”, well let’s see if their tone will change and will respond with this proposal if it becomes law:

If you apply for benefits, in return you are required and assigned by the state to go out and do mandatory volunteer work for a company or organization to learn and pick up new skills. Even if you have skills and training, they can match you up with an employer who will take you in for you to prove your abilities to them. If you don’t have the skills, you are still required to report to that employer. While you are doing that, have some points added to your performances to go to college tuition if you plan on going back to school. If the employer likes your performance and offers you a job, plus benefits, take it. Like those who collect disability and still work (on a limited basis due to their condition), they still have to report their earning to social security. If you as a recipient fail to do these requirements, your benefits will be terminated immediately.

If this works, maybe we can stop welfare fraud and abuse and get people back to work. What do you think? Is it a good idea? I would appreciate some other ideas that should go with the proposal.

Again, this is just an idea.

Media Matters? lol Anyways, what they were hightlithening is that progressives always talk about the poor in this country as if the poor is on par with those who live in the third world, which is not the case. Those in America who live in "poverty" have refrigerators, running water, cell phones, etc. Compare that "poverty to those who live in Ethiopia or some country where people actually die due to starvation or malnutrition. So much for MM highlighting what Stuart and the Heritage Foundation saying as being "controversial", please. Conservatives don't believe the poor has too much stuff, they aren't simply as poor as liberals like to make them out as being compared to the standard of living of the rest of the world allen. Did that help you any?

Do you remember the story I posted about an auto body shop owner giving the news to his employees that their healthcare premiums where be going up?

Maybe he works for the Koch Brothers allen.

The fact is that premiums and delectable are going up under Obamacare.

One ad does not change reality allen, sorry

Of course he turned it down Big Pop. Why would a bottom feeding leech progressive work for $80k doing actual labor, when he can get it for doing nothing?

Maybe his band should be called "the freeloaders", "the moochers" or "the parasites". With the oil shale boom going on up in the Dakotas they are indeed looking for people to work, and the pay is dam good. Hannity should offer the job to people actually deserving of those jobs, people with a strong work ethic and aren't afraid to actually "work".

No I don't remember. But I watched the video, and if true what the insurance guy, "Charles Moore", says is true, they're really not doing too bad!

In particular the lady named Christie. She says that she will be paying $895 per month. Being that under Obama Care the yearly cost for your health insurance is capped at 9.5 percent of your income, Christie isn't doing bad at all! If my "off the cuff" calculations are correct, Christie makes about $90,000 a year.

But it's "Judy" who really has it good. According to her $1360 premium payments, she makes about $150,000 a year!! Their 5 employee company must be doing pretty darn good business. Just two employee's are making close to $250,000. Hell, an auto paint job for a Ford Focus in this place must cost $7000 or $8000 bucks!

My retired neighbor told me that he pays $560 for Cobra coverage. Being that he's a retired auto worker, I'd put his retired income at about $26,000-$28,000 a year. Compared to him, Christie and Judy make out like a bandits.

Because of Obamacare, my Dad for example is bringing home less on his paycheck and I know I said this before here. I am certain of it but some blind statists will never open there eyes to the religion of Government. I will not comply no matter who I am employed under. If I have to pay the fees, so be it. Otherwise pray that it fails sooner then later and go back to localized private healthcare.

Perfect example of "cutting off your nose to spite your face." The only one that get's hurt is you. In essence, you're doing the government a favor. You're going to pay them and get NOTHING in return. Yet people who have "previous medical conditions" and couldn't get insurance, now gets to have your penalty fee pay for their premium health care. All the while, you'll pay and have no health insurance... all because you CHOOSE TO. But that's what "Freedom" is all about. You're free to be as stupid as you want to be.

.

First off, the "mother" choose to remain anonymous. I wonder why with so many other "misleading cases" who have chosen to give their names. Second, and yet again, the maximum amount she and her "HUSBAND" would pay is 12 percent of their income, if they chose a Gold Plan. Moreover, she claimed that the husbands plan was to expensive to cover her and the child. Therefore it makes sense for the husband to drop his plan and shop the exchange.

Also the story doesn't hold water because under Obama Care, ALL PLANS MUST COVER DEPENDENT CHILDREN UP TO AGE 26.

I'd also question, who or what insurance did she use when she had the baby. With most of these stories there are too many variables that are being left out.
