Barack Obama attracts human flith like garbage attract flies.

3-20-3008

Why is it that Barack Obama attracts some of the most racist and anti American people to his campaign? No, I'm not talking about Jerimah Wright this time. A new ghetto gutter rat has reared his ugly head. His name is James Meek. Believe it or not, this guy is also called a "Reverend". What is the deal with these black radical hate spewers masquareding behind the title reserved for holly and rightous people of god? It's sacreligious actually. I won't bastardize the title of Reverend by referring to James Meek as such. James Meek besides being a wannabe Reverend who received this degreee in theology from the Al Sharpton school of forged documents is also a Democrat super delegate. So have a listen to a Democrat Super Delegate that is backing Barack Obama. Feel the love.

What a Jackass that Reverend White Fella is!
He's just as much of a hateful fool as Reverend Phelps!

He's not a pastor he's a cult leader spewing hate rather than truth.

What really makes my blood boil is when some arrogant smarmy self-righteous European claims the US is the most hateful and racial intolerant nation on Earth!

That is so not true! It all depends on what state or county as the case may vary.

I bet those small minded self-righteous Europeans visit black "churches" and I use the term Churches rather loosely!

They've probably watch BET and have never known any black personally because not all of us see racism everywhere go.
Racism isn't dead but it's no longer socially acceptable!

I left the black church over a decade ago. The gospel is about solutions and transformation of lives. We can scream about what is wrong. As Americans we have the right to voice our opinions. However as Christians our example is Christ. If I do not hear preachers that talk about wrongdoing also mentioning that these leaders should be prayed for AND LEAD THE CHURCH MEMBERS IN PRAYER FOR THEM I will not listen to them. The Bible clearly says we are to pray for our leaders, not call them racial slurs and curse our country. I personally hate being around whiners, especially males. That is a sure fire way to instantly have me tune you out.

To say I'm grieved when I hear preachers like this is an understatement. We will never completely deal with race issues by screaming at each other and calling each other names. It will only be solved with a change of heart.

It will be a miracle if I vote at all for president. I have completely lost hope in the political process at this point. To say I'm disgusted is another understatement. I could cry.

Really, if the mayor of his city truly was a slave master, this "reverend" would be horse whipped for his insolence. But, of course, there is no slave master, only people who need to blame someone else for the problems in their own lives.

I found your blog on "Sweetnes & Light." You are a very insightful person; keep up the good work.

I left the "black" church a couple of years ago. I think God teaches us lessons when He feels we need to learn them. I after over a year of looking for work after 9-11, I found a job that took me far way from where God knew I shouldn't be. My loss of employment resulted in a tremendous increase of my faith and dependence on Him. My change in churches was confirmation of the reason for my inner conflict from sermons at the previous church. I pray that other one day others realize the ways of these false prophets.

RB says; "Why is it that Barack Obama attracts some of the most racist and anti American people to his campaign? No, I'm not talking about Jerimah Wright this time."

Guilt by association, time and time again, is the "tow-rope" thats pulling Obama through the mud.

Being that Meeks is a pastor, politician, Illinois state senator, City of Chicago public figure, it's apparent and "highly likely" that Obama would know him, or have some sort of association with him.

The media pundits(FOX News leading the assault)are "milking" this story for all it's worth. It's got so crazy that now whatever Obama says, does, what his associates say, comes under attack from the right-wingers.

In an interview with a Philadelphia radio station Obama said his grandmother is a "typical white person" who has fears about black men. He went on to say that, "there's a reaction that's been bred in our experiences that don't go away and that sometimes come out in the wrong way, and that's just the nature of race in our society." Yet it was only the "typical white person" sound byte that the right-wing media sources chose to highlight.

FOX News' morning program, "FOX And Friends" painted the remark as racist and chose to run with and debate the issue for 2 whole hours this morning. Even with the breaking and developing story of a "major" security breach of governmental passport files, FOX chose to bash Obama for 2 hours.

Yet, Obama's statement holds true in almost every metropolitan area in the country, as Chris Wallace pointed out the FOX attackers.

http://thinkprogress.org/2008/03/21/wallace-obama-fox/

I still say guilt by association is a "fair game" political tactic, but the attempt to use his own innocent and subtle statements with the intent of causing further outrage, can and will backfire...

Conservative Brother

I think you do not understand the roots of what Black Liberation Theology is. Liberation theology is a
mixture of Marx, Marcuse and warped
New Testament. Like most other cults it needs the other to survive. The other is hated and dehumanized. As your reader pointed out it is more cult than Christ.

Pamela, you sound like such a nice lady! At church this evening (Good Friday) we had to choose how to venerate the Cross for ourselves. I knew I needed to hug it and I did because I complain too much about the smaller crosses I have to bear. Then I came home and was all upset because I couldn't do my family's laundry because the machine in our complex where you put money on your laundry card is broken and won't be fixed for a couple of days. You sound like a better Christian & not so self-absorbed. Keep your chin up & don't cry! (Pray!)

Thanks jbab, I'm into computers myself. I need to find a solution on how to expand my wif signal from upstairs to my basement home office. Nothing worse then beating a liberal half senseless in a debate in a political forum and then my signal fades out. I hate that.

chilerkle"What a Jackass that Reverend White Fella is!

The Trinity United Church of Christ and the Westborro Baptist Church are two sides of the same coin chilerkle. Both so called churches hate America and bastardize the Christian faith for their own warped purposes.

Chilerkle"I bet those small minded self-righteous Europeans visit black "churches" and I use the term Churches rather loosely!"

Yeah right Chilerkle, the Eurocrowd wouldn't be caught dead in a black church. Hell, most of them these days can't stand church period. As for white liberal politicans, it would be nice if they could actually stick around for an entire service instead of clapping off key and using black voice impersonations to try to "releate" to the congregrations.

Chilerkle "They've probably watch BET and have never known any black personally because not all of us see racism everywhere go.
Racism isn't dead but it's no longer socially acceptable!"

chilerkle,I've always got a kick out of listening to white liberals try to attack black who are conservative or republican YET, these same white liberals wouldn't spend one night on a bet in ruff neighborhoos that blacks grew up in

That's 100% right Dawn-Michelle....people who hate, tend to do so because they need to blame an outside source for their own failings.

"In an interview with a Philadelphia radio station Obama said his grandmother is a "typical white person" who has fears about black men. The outrage over that remark was based in it's "YOU people" kind of pronouncement.

Moreover, Barack Obama doesn't have the bona fides to presume to know what's "typical" for whites, Hispanics or Asians, any more than say I, would know what's "typical" for blacks, Asians, Jews, etc.

The Obama camp threw all other black Churches under the bus, threw his long-suffering grandmother (who raised him) under the bus....there's not all that much more one needs to know about his character, is there?

But by aall means keep on defending haters like Wright and Meeks by comparing them to more mainstream religious folks.

It's not the most artful tact, and it's not all that effective either.

"He's just as much of a hateful fool as Reverend Phelps!" (Chilerkle)

Pretty much!

Though the "Reverend" Phelps is as much, if not more an "America-hater" than is Jeremiah Wright, and NEITHER are really Christians, by any stretch.

Phelps quotes the Old Testament - the "Eye for an eye..." and "Smite (destroy) thine enemies..." a book that runs counter to virtually ALL of Christ's basic teachings, "Turn the other cheek..." and "Love your enemies," while Reverend Wright preaches "Liberation Theology," which is nothing more than tribalist Marxism dressed up in religious-sounding verbiage.

Christ's basic message runs completely counter to human nature. That's why it was and remains a revolutionary teaching...NOT a Left-wing revolutionary teaching, but revolutionary in the sense that it prescribed a new paradigm....one that few people, even very few professed Christians embrace.

Most people act according to their nature's - we like those who like us and we dislike those who dislike us...and few of us reach out to, let alone lovingly support our enemies.

When Jeremiah Wright said, "I've learned to love my enemies to death," he was espousing the view that we give into our human natures and embrace our enemies onto their death, which is exactly as "Christian" as Fred Phelps' messages.

Why is it JMK you can't take my "plain and simple" truthful comment, for what it's worth???

If I were in the rural south and happened by a group of young to middle-age white males, driving a chevy pick-up, with a gun rack, with the confederate flag painted on the doors.... I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but my comfort level would drop dramatically! Thus a "typical black" person would react the same.

Is that "racist"??? No way. I become uncomfortable by way of my familiarity gained through experience, association or cognitive conditioning.

Obama's statement is being taken out of context by the media pundits.

JMK dreams; "The outrage over that remark was based in it's "YOU people" kind of pronouncement."

There was'nt, and is not, any "you people" implied by Obamas comments. The "you people" connotation is being spun and was dreamed up by those who wish to paint him as a "black" radical and a militant.

Politics of "smear with fear" will eventually get out of control.

p. anthony allen, was that a gray chevy 4x4 with tinted windows? If so, the guy driving the truck is named Bill and he is in his last year of medical school. Tell him Eric says "I am sorry I missed you last deer season, but I will make a greater effort to stop buy for a visit. Oh, and tell him to kiss Karen for me and tell Billy Jr. he can keep my pocket knife, since I should have looked under the passenger seats."

paa, you become "uncomfortable" far too easily. Since most crime against black people is by other black people, your discomfort is misdirected.

Nevertheless, I would expect someone of your demeanor to be uncomfortable when outside of the familiar surroundings of your comfort zone.

You're ttrying to defend Barack Obama's links to a non-Christian, America-hating bigot, who advocates a Marxist "Liberation Theology."

Guilt by association is justifiable.

If it weren't, then why would a white candidate who merely associated with the likes of David Dukes and Tom Metzger, called one of them his "mentor" and "advisor" be already out of any race?

Again, IF there were some historical context in which made white more repugnant than black bigotry that would be different, but that's not the case.

The problem this association created is that it changed the perception most Americans have of Barack Obama.

He no longer "transcends race."

The problem isn't that "America hasn't had a dialogue about race," it's that it's had a long, unproductive discussion about race, because neither side really wants an honest discussion.

Misdirected???? So my "discomfort" should be directed against blacks and blacks only?

Eric says: "Nevertheless, I would expect someone of your demeanor to be uncomfortable when outside of the familiar surroundings of your comfort zone.

Evidently you're assuming that "familiar" surroundings for me is black people only(perhaps black people whom commit crimes?)

No, actually I like to tap dance! When I'm not at my job shining shoes I love to tap dance. Tap dancing was a little something I picked up from my buddies when I was a railroad porter. I got a little to old to be jumping on and off the passenger cars, so I stated shining shoes. But when I'm not spit-shining Mr. Charley's shoe's, I can twinkle my tooties with the best of em!

Don't get me wrong...Ain't nothin' wrong with tap dancin', spit-shinin', and porter'in for Mr. Charley!

PAA: "Misdirected???? So my "discomfort" should be directed against blacks and blacks only?"

No, but your discomfort shouldn't be unjustified. "Driving a chevy pick-up, with a gun rack, with the confederate flag painted on the doors..." are all legal activities that shouldn't cause any normal person discomfort.

PAA: "Evidently you're assuming that "familiar" surroundings for me is black people only(perhaps black people whom commit crimes?)"

No, but evidently "familiar" for you is not "...the rural south, a group of young to middle-age white males, a chevy pick-up with a gun rack, with the confederate flag painted on the doors." Unless you are uncomfortable with pick-ups, gun racks and flags, I would suspect your discomfort originates from young to middle-age white males. Discomfort solely based on someones racial profile without an exhibition any action intended to cause harm is misdirected.

This is what you didnt read.

I said "previously"; "I become uncomfortable by way of my familiarity gained through experience, association or cognitive conditioning.

As a youngster, I spent almost every summer during the early 1960's in the Birmingham, Alabama area. My aunt worked as a maid for an upper-class family near Pleasant Grove. We often rode through rural area's such as Hartselle and Cullman. Were there some whites that treated us well? Yes! Were there some that treated us like crap? Absolutely! It just so happened that it was those who as I described that gave me the most trouble.

Eric opines; "Discomfort solely based on someones racial profile without an exhibition any action intended to cause harm is misdirected.

Say wuuuudddd????

You gotta be kidding me man...

Next you're going to tell me that you wouldn't give a second thought to young "peaceful" looking middle-eastern males, wearing dishadasha's and Kufi's, reading verse's from the Koran, while draped in an Izar with the inscription "Allahu Akbar", just before boarding an AIRPLANE!

Oh nooooo...You would'nt treat them no different than the 80 year old Jewish grandma's, The Griswolds on their way to Wally World, or a group of 5th graders going through and airport terminal, right?? Yeah... thats right because, "Discomfort solely based on someones racial profile without an exhibition any action intended to cause harm is misdirected"!

Gimmee a break...

I wish I could say I would be surprised hearing that, but Sharpton is a thug in his own right. I can't think for the life of me anything that Sharpton has supported that was decent, respectful, godly, moral or whatever good. Sharpton has made it his work to stick up for the lowest denominator in our society.
