Did Barack Obama nuetralize Bobby Rush's race card strategy?

This is an interesting turn of events. Just the other day Congressman Bobby Rush threw the race card down on the Senate Majority leader Harry Reid practically double daring him to not confirm the appointment of Roland Burris. Well now it looks like Harry Reid has a card up his sleeve, and his card is way more powerful then Bobby Rush's race card strategy. Yesterday the American Idol President elect came out AGAINST the confirmation of Roland Burris as well. I don't think ol Bobby has enough testicular fortitude to say that Obama is trying to "lynch" or "hang" Roland Burris. Rush could have tried it with Reid, but now it's a completely different ballgame. This is the black racist himself explaining his race coded words comments.

I'm not sure if the article is accurate but it appears that Burris will not be allowed to sit with the Senate.

Chilerkle "Black Liberals are desperate now that their own play book has come back to bite them in the rear.

So true chilerkle. I feel though that Republicans can benefit from Blaog appointing Burris.Tell me what you think. Blago right now has an approval rating of 8%!!!!!His numbers are three times lower then Bush! If the people in Illinois hate Blago that much, then surely Burris will be impacted by being nominated by Blago EVEN IF he gets Obama's senate seat next week and actually runs for it in 2010. I don't think Blago's Lt. Governor can escape the Lime Light of Blago if runs for Governor in 2010. So Republicans in Illinois can pick up the Governorship and reclaim Jack Ryan's old Senate seat really just by doing nothing and letting Blago do all the work indirectly for the Republicans in Illinois. Karma has come back on them big time. Just two years ago Democrats were talking about Republicans and the "culture of corruptions". Notice how quiet liberals have been since the soap opera of Blagogate broke.

Pamela, this line in CNN's story has me doing the "snoopy dance" of joy.

CNN "Senate Democratic leaders also have discussed what might happen if Blagojevich shows up on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, the first aide said. This would be a "radioactive" situation, according to the aide, because Senate Democratic leaders could not deny Blagojevich entry, as sitting governors have floor privileges in the Senate. "

How absolutely hilarious this is pamela that what was suppose to be an ugly state issue among Democrats could go nuclear next week on the congressional level. I'm definitely taping CPSAN for this lol If Burris does show up on Tuesday and is allowed to be seated. Blago would have single handedly thumbed his nose and embarrassed the entire Democrat establishment on the state and national level. I torn in a way. I don't want Obama's seat to be an affirmative seat, and on the other hand I don't want an opportunity to humiliate Harry Reid and Barack Obama as well.

I will not be working Tuesday. I will put a calendar entry to watch C-SPAN.

If this happens this will be better than As The World Turns around the Edge of Night for All My Children and the Young and the Restless amidst the Dark Shadows without the Guiding Light.
