Does the nation still have a hangover from the "beer summit"?

The mass marketed and much hyped "beer summit" has thankfully come and gone. The whole Crowley, Gates, and Obama soap opera was like a huge toothache. You wanted relief right now, but the dentist couldn't see you until next week. If anyone thinks that this "racial beer summit" was legit in any way, I have a ten dollar Rolex they might be interested in buying. What happened yesterday on the lawn of the White House was nothing more then a staged photo op for Barack Obama. The whole event took place outside on the White House grounds with dozens of cameras taking pictures and filming them.

If I was Obama, I would have held the "summit" inside White House behind "closed doors". If I was truly serious about the event from a racial perspective, I wouldn't have wanted the meeting between myself, Gates and Crowley to have been tainted by making it a media spectacle. The event looked so "fake". Why was Joe Biden there? Was Joe that thirsty for a brew? I've read stories saying that Biden was invited to add "racial equilibrium" to the meeting. In a way I suppose that made sense. Obama and Gates are two black guys with radical hang ups on the issue of race that were sitting across from what they saw as a white "pig" police officer. I guess Biden was the neutral ice breaker at the event. I wonder did Joe tell Sgt. Crowley how "clean and articulate" Obama was for an African American? Until the next racial knee jerk event occurs, I can honestly say I'm glad this is over!!!!

WHY DOES OBAMA ALLOW BLACKS TO DEMEAN HIS WHITE SIDE. He would not be here if she had aborted him. the African sperm donor left him at age 2 to be raised by whites and then by an asian Muslims step father who loved liquor and women as his sperm donor father did while saying allahu akbar. I dont care what color his relatives were they took care of huim, didnt give him up for adoption, and he says the typical white woman crap. I was partially raised by typical white people. Typical meant to me, they fed me read to me sent me to school and did the same things that the black side did. His typical black side sold other blacks. should he apologize for that? It was typical for the Luos to sell other blacks. Typical should be explained to Obama before he speaks words of typical racist endearments.

I've always found it strange that Obama would write a book dedicated to the father that abandoned him. In the audio of Obama reading from his book "The Audicity of Hope", he clearly has a chip against white. So I can't believe that he truly accepted the fact that he had white in him as well. It was the white side of his family that gave him his privileged up bringing. I believe if Obama could snap his fingers and he could change history so his mother would have been black instead of white he would do it.

If a white person would say "a typical black person", those would be considered fighting words by blacks that would be offended.

It'll happen again, this is all Obama knows. Gates is just another illustration of the type of people Obama calls friend,

danhat "Tyrone,Thank you for what you do"

Not a problem danhat. As long as I have air in my lungs, I will continue to stick up for what is right and expose what is wrong. Liberals won't like it, but that just makes it that much more fun. :-)

Nothing says "President of the United States" like slouching during an international photo-op.
More evidence of his lack of spine.

First of all, I echo Danhat in expressing appreciation for all your efforts ... thank you so much Tyrone.

Now ... I am actually glad this debacle took place because it has highlighted at the Presidential level that some folks cry racism in the absence of it and that habit, crutch, etc., needs to go away. I was not surprised by the action of Henry Gates or President Obama. Nor was I surprised by the liberals in Hollywood and the Democratic party siding with Gates and Obama without knowing the facts ...

I was disappointed in Collin Powell saying that he believed this was an act of racial profiling. I have always admired him and thought him to be a non-racist, United States defending, wise Republican ... I, apparently, was wrong in some of my beliefs about who Powell is as a human being and leader.

I am totally against anyone being given preferential or abusive treatment based on their race, gender or economic class. This includes all races (white is a race for those who haven't yet caught on to that).

Even though the taxpayer dollars could have been spent on a better endeavor, I am glad GatesGate happened because it brought to the headlines what has been going on for years - some folks just don't want to be held accountable for their behaviors and what better way to avoid responsibility ... "must be because I'm ___________" whatever.

LOL, Obama also lacks testicular fortitude as well Roadhouse. All he can do is blame Bush for this and that. When he ran for President, he should have told the people that was what he was going to do. Hillary Clinton is more manly then Obama is right now. That's sad. He sounds borderline desperate every time he utters Bush's name.

Thanks Barbara. With all the left wing hatred that comes my way on a nearly daily basis, I like to think I'm making a difference. lol

Prior to the media making this story a national one, I didn't know Gates was friends with Obama. I wasn't shocked when I found out though. Obama talked about hope and change, but the same racial animosity of those before the election still exists now. They're is an old saying I live by "Don't make your problems my problems". That saying is very powerful. I get scorned by oversensitive blacks on many occasions because I don't subscribe to self victimization like they do. Their mental screwup on race is their problem and their problem alone. Some have to use race as a crutch, because they will never admit that their short comings in life had to do with their own actions. Gates back in the 1995 video has to portray Newt Gingrich as the villainous Republican boogey man that was somehow trying to keep blacks down, because he was against race based affirmitive action. I remember the Democrat ad in Missouri back in 1998.

"When you don't vote, you let another church explode. When you don't vote, you allow another cross to burn. When you don't vote, you let another assault wound a brother or sister" Vote smart. Vote Democratic for Congress and the U.S. Senate.

There always has be be a bogey man as a substitute for personal responsibility and common sense..

Powell has always been about Powell. When he came out an endorsed Obama, I lost any respect I had for him. McCain was dunce, but McCain went out of his way to put in a good word for Collin's son Michael to get the Chairman of the FCC position, and this is how he repaid him. Powell claimed McCain was a "deer friend". Powell didn't understand what friendship truly is. Loyalty and trust are vital components in friendship. Powell is a snack and noting more in my book.

Obama didn't care about wasting tax payer money for a photo op and damage control. It's all about him Barbara, and it will always be about him. If the internal polls weren't trending negatively, this beer summit thing wouldn't have never happened.

Well I agree Tyrone the whole beer summit is just a photo op and a publicity stunt.

I still find the idea of a Post racial America to be soiled by a racist biracial president. Funny that people really believed that voting for Obama would put an end to racial animosity. I believe everyone who believed Obama would transcend the racial divide are very naive.

Leftists gain much of their political power through special interest groups(read professional victims or crybabies)!

I'm beginning to think that Obama may have opened a racial Pandora's box and won't be able to close it Chilerkle. His poll numbers didn't just take a mnior ding, they took a full blown upper cut. Maybe a new poll should be conducted to find out do Americans believe the beer summit was "legit" or "fake". I believe most would say it was definitely fake Chilerkle.

The poll done by CNN and Essence just shown what we've known for a long time Chilerkle. I know a certain percentage of gullible whites though they were going to be a part of history ushering in a new era of racial harmony and healing just by voting for Obama.Dam, they thought wrong.lol
