Thank You Joe Wilson!!
Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina has now become a household name. The Obama faithful are still fuming after Congressman Wilson called Obama a liar during Obama's health care speech. Obama claimed illegals wouldn't be receiving health care benefits in under his health care bill, and Joe called him out on it. The glare by Nancy Pelosi towards Joe was priceless when he said it. Just seeing her ticked off gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
So now Democrats are running around this morning saying how low class Joe Wilson was. I predict by tomorrow Joe will be tarred as a racist. It's simple left wing boiler plate procedure. I'm thinking about sending a thank you card to Congressman Wilson. Joe just said what most of us would have said to the face of Barck Obama if we had the chance. I've heard people say since the incident that Obama is owed "respect". This is my take on that assertion. Does anybody have respect for liars? Would any of you respect a person that would flat out lie right in your face? How many times was George Bush called a liar by Democrats during his two terms? Even the Associated Press admitted that Obama was wrong with some of his "facts". The attention has been placed on Joe Wilson instead of what Obama actually said during his speech. It's the typical M.O of "deflection" politics. I was actually impressed that at least one elected Republican in congress had the gutts to stand up and call a spade a spade. As sure as I am writing this, I know the media has already started it's "opposition research" into the background of Joe Wilson. I hope he's prepared for the media attack probes coming his way. The outrage by Obama supporters was so predictable but also so fake as well. Back in 2005, George Bush was booed by Democrats during the State of the Union Address. My how liberals have such short memories.

I don't think I've ever heard a member of the congress, senate, judiciary, or any other government branch, call the president a "lie" during a formal address to congress.
This what the AP says (from the same article you linked to) about what Joe Wilson calls a "lie."
THE FACTS: The facts back up Obama. The House version of the health care bill explicitly prohibits spending any federal money to help illegal immigrants get health care coverage. Illegal immigrants could buy private health insurance, as many do now, but wouldn't get tax subsidies to help them. Still, Republicans say there are not sufficient citizenship verification requirements to ensure illegal immigrants are excluded from benefits they are not due.
If the AP is right, then Joe Wilson is wrong! At least you think so, right Tyrone?
I've said it once, and I'll say it again...It's fine to disagree with the president, and I have no problem if you hate his guts.
But when hatred is shown by accusations that can not be backed up by facts, you effectively lose all of your own credibility.
I don't know exactly what it is, but it's obvious that Joe Wilson hates the president for reasons other than what's in the health care bill. Illegal immigrants are explicitly excluded from receiving any benefits under the bill.
However, he did make a groveling apology. Not only is he a disrespectful buffoon, he's also a gutless coward. He didn't even have the courage to a least mount a defense, and attempt to prove his own lie.
Joe Wilson from South Carolina, is just another good old boy where in the morning these married men preach to you that there should be prayer in our schools and in the evening they are on their cell phones setting up a date with their other women on the side, hypocrisy has been bred in. I am not surprised that he felt compel to yell like he was at some Friday night game. He is a hater not a debater like most of his side of the isle.

Can you post his fax number Barb. I want to send him a fax of support and thanks as well.It would be great if Republicans came from the mold like Wilson. Instead of Republicans walking out, it would have had a greater impact if they all joined Joe in chanting LIAR, LIAR, LIAR LIAR LIAR.

"NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States".

With regards to PAGE 143 OF H.R.3200 SEC:246 : I am looking at it right now, and this refers to affordability credits which means if you qualify, you get lower premiums. This in no way prevents illegal immigrants from getting the insurance, only the affordability credits! And because the whole government option will be partially subsidized anyway, tax payers will be paying for illegal immigrants' insurance. They just won't be able to get the tax credits. My husband is an accountant, quite familiar with tax laws and explained this to me.
I still can't believe that he did that.

The president stood before congress and the American people and said that illegal aliens will not receive and tax payer dollars for health care under this bill. If he's lying America will find out if and when the bill is enacted. If he's lying there's nothing to prevent any other political candidate from calling him out, and winning office in 2012 with the campaign promise of ending free health car, socialized health care, illegal immigrant health care...or whatever you want to call it!
Taking a page from the book of Tyrone and this essay, I like to know who believes President Bush lied about WMD's in Iraq. Let's assume they both are liars, yet weigh the FACTS of the issues and the costs.
President Obama estimates his health care reform plan will cost between $50 and $65 billion a year when fully phased in. The Iraq war HAS COST more that $100 billion per year since it began. The president plan estimates the plan will cost about $2500.00 per insured American. The money spent in Iraq HAS COST about $5000.00 per Iraqi.
Which "LIE" does America the most good? Which "LIE" does America the most damage?
Obama is a master orator and crafty speaker. Too bad he is using his oratory powers and prowess for ill-conceived and failed policies. His socialist mind-set has failed many times. I've would have like to scream "LIAR" at President Bush, and I'll tell you why.
George Bush "lied" to take the country to war in Iraq. To me, it seems perfectly clear, because no WMD's were found in Iraq. His administration went before congress, the American people and the world and LIED! I say this "after the facts" have been drawn, and history has shown me "PERSONALLY" that what he said was a lie.
However, if I were in congress, I would have been as cordial as the THOUSANDS of politicians who have come before me. And, I would have never shouted out during a joint session of congress, to the presidents face, that he was a "LIE"!
Now tell me (if you have the guts) why would you break protocol on the floor of the congress to call President Obama a lie, even before any bill has been signed, or enacted? What law so far has been "enacted" by this administration that you deem the president has lied about?
We can go back and forth about the language in the bill. I want to know specifically and unequivocally what the president has lied about, stated plainly so that the average person could reasonably even "assume that", "Obama told a LIE."
