Everybody should get a piece of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Obama deserves props. It isn't like the Nobel Peace Prize committee hands out it's awards to people who don't do things to earn them right? I think I am worth of a Nobel Peace Prize just for writing what I write. Everybody deserve a Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing.

The problem is that they even nominated him in the first place, when he just got into office or something like that. It makes the whole thing a joke. Not to mention let's not forget Arafat won this award, too, in the past.
I don't blame Obama for this. It is a no-win situation for him. If he turned down the award, then folks will mock him as being either too weak or being too arrogant to accept the award. If he accepts it, well, we know know the reactions.

I don't think it was a problem of him being nominated Thuyen, I'm just surprised at how fast it happened. The Nobel Committee are a bunch of die hard Socialists, it was only natural that they would drool over and give him the prize regardless of what he hasn't done. Think about how many schools were renamed in honor Obama before he was even sworn in. He's a liberal/socialist rockstar bordering a liberal's godlike figure.

In controlling American foreign policy, they Nobel Committee knows they either have a like minded spirit or a useful idiot on their hands. Its one or the other. Your right Thuyen, it is bad either way. Of course Obama is going to accept the prize though, his ego wouldn't dare tell him otherwise. Obama thinks he is the smartest person on the planet yet is dumber then a sack of bricks. I bet he'll stay in Copenhagen longer then he did in New Orleans.

It's kind of like an oxymoron and insanity Almondtea. Arafat was the father of the suicide bomber terrorist method, yet he was awarded a "peace prize". lol lol lol This world is off it's rocker big time.lol It's like awarding Michael Vick the human society award during the time he was fighting dogs.

I would say I deserve a peace prize for sitting through an Obama speech. I'd rather just trade my Peace Prize in for some nice ear plugs instead.
