Rahm Emanuel will send his kids this fall to the same "PRIVATE" school Obama sent his kids.
Elite progressives want the masses to support the public education system. They talk in great length on why it is important to the development of America's youth, but their very own words seem to ring hollow, when it is time to send their children to school. You see, elite progressives can't have their precious children rubbing elbows with the great unwashed masses of American youths in the public school system. Ask now Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel what I mean by that.
The only reason why democratic politicians champion public schools is because, the teacher unions are major supporters and contributors of their campaigns and party . As usual, follow the money. It's fascinating how democrats can boldly tell people that the Republican Party is the "party of rich", when it's elite democrats who are the ones sending their kids to the same schools as the affluent send their kids. In other words, they are hypocrites as usual. It's also very telling that those same democratic politicians who send their kids to private schools are the ones blocking any attempts by Republicans to create a voucher system in which low income families can have a chance to give their children the same quality of education as the democratic politician can afford to give to his children. Progressives use the word "equality", but obviously they don't truly believe in the word. Rahm is just a typical fraudulent elitist pretending to be just like "everybody else".

As the product of an all Black educational system where most of the children could read and write from ages three to five. We had teachers who loved us and loved our people so much, that not succeeding was not an option. the men stayed in the home with the mother of his children and helped in the proper training of them, both sexes. We were not rich, but we were wealthy as far as love and respect of each other. There was no welfare, but we worked to survive. Today, our children are taught hate and the blame game which only leads to failure. My grandmother was born ten years after slavery ended and was a college graduate, the college was at church. Stop the blame game. Dont blacks have the ability to educate our children just like others in America. I say yes we can.
This is hilarious in its' overt hypocrisy. There are likely some GREAT public schools in Chicago, and given the affluence politicians seem to enjoy as a result of their "political" horse-trading, I find it surprising that Emanuel must resort to sending his kids to some 'elite' private school.
I live in lily-white Harford County Maryland, and we "commuter bussed" our kids into Baltimore City where they went to a REALLY GREAT public high school, The Baltimore School for the Arts. Chicago has GOT to have at least ONE public high school that achieves great results.
Emanuel pretty much admitted that he HAS to divorce his public and private interests because they contradict one another.
Shouldn't they SUPPORT one another? Especially since as Mayor, HE RUNS the public school system that isn't "good enough" for his own kids?
Talk about a confession of his own incompetence and lack of faith in his own ability to provide Chicago's children with a meaningful education.
*Shakes head in disbelief and that Democrats and City Residents don't immediately demand his resignation*

It is kind of hard for teachers to teach the children sujects like advanced math and science, when the teachers are too busy making it a priority to brainwash them with social justice bullshit and revisionist American history. No wonder so many kids graduating are so screwed up. Analytical thinking skills isn't supported by teachers, once upon a time it was demanded. We can't have the young folks actually questioing what the good indoctrinators are teaching them.

Progressives are merely playing the people for suckers. Their base of supporters are just ignorant enough to by into it hook line and sinker over and over. I'm shocked actually that the Chicago News outlets have picked up on Rahm's hypocrisy. Notice how Rahm hid behind the excuse of his decision being a "family matter". I guess it never occurred to him that fathers would also like to be able to give their kids a better education too outside the public education system.
Thersites "Shouldn't they SUPPORT one another? Especially since as Mayor, HE RUNS the public school system that isn't "good enough" for his own kids?"
That is an interesting thought. You are right Thersites. If the Mayor of Chicago doesn't think the public schools he is overseeing is good enough for his children, how can he have any credibility to claim they are good enough for the kids of the parents who live in Chicago? He's lost any credibility.
CPS is awful. He made a choice and he has a right to make that choice.
