October surprise!!! The high tech lynching of Herman Cain has begun.
This story by the Politico is like a time warp going back 20 years ago to 1991. Back in 1991 another conservative black man by the name of Clarence Thomas was accused by a woman "Anita Hill" of "inappropriate behavior towards her.
Her allegations just happened to come right before the conformation hearings, and Ms. Hill had to testify during the confirmation hearings. Surprise, surprise, surprise, nothing was proven from Ms. Hill's allegations. Clarence Thomas was confirmed to the Supreme Court, and the rest is history. It looks like the October surprise of rehashed dirty tricks may be at work yet again on another black conservative. The Politico is reporting that two women have come forward to accuse Herman Cain of "inappropriate behavior". I sigh laughing thinking about this. Every angle the left has tried against Cain has failed up until this point. They've attacked Cain's 999 plan, but it didn't hurt him in the polls. They've attacked him using the all predictable race card, that hasn't even worked. I guess the left is desperate and now have to double down on Saul Alinksy Jujitsu. The tactic now is going to be to destroy Herman Cain's character, and bog him down having him defend himself against "the seriousness of the charges" by these two women. The new media wasn't around during the time Anita Hill made her allegations, but they are now. If this is an orchestrated plan in order to take down Herman Cain, they will get to the bottom of it. The identity of these two ladies should be known if they are real, and the media should not be allowed to attack Cain on the charges of two women who can hide in shadows of anonymity.They might be made up figures of the Politico for all we know. I know how the smear game works with the media using "anonymous sources". That tactic has been used against Sarah Palin from day one. The Politico reported in regards to the Cain camp

Privacy concerns? This is what I mean about being able to throw sharp darts from within the dark clouds of anonymity. I bet that within twenty four hours, the media is going to go into all out blitz mode with this story. Maybe they will call this pubic hairs version 2.0, 20 years later, who knows. Cain might be new to politics, but he made the right comment when confronted by the media after his Face the Nation appearance today. Cain said that he would not comment until " I see some facts or some concrete evidence.”
That is how you shut down the media's anonymity tactic. Demand that they put up the evidence first and then respond accordingly. I know the media is praying for a John Edwards, Gary Hart moment. As I read further into the Politico story, I found something interesting.
"There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable and that they regarded as improper in a professional relationship."
So if the gestures weren't sexual, then what is the foundation of the allegations of inappropriate behavior? We'll see what comes from this and how Cain is able to continue going forward. The timing of the Politico bombshell is interesting. They released this story just 24 hours before Herman Cain is scheduled to speak in front of National Press Club tomorrow. What a coincidence.

Good for Cain for confronting the issue instead of dodging the bullet.
I'm surprised whenever someone is running for public office, some yahoo has to come forward and do a smear tactic campaign that has allegedly happened a long, long time ago.
Take the Paula Jones vs. Bill Clinton. She claimed that he sexually harassed her while he was still governor of Arkansas. Whether he did it or not, why did she not confront the issue with the media, while he was still governor then? Instead she made this allegation during his presidential campaign.
Arnold Schwarzenegger, when he was running for the California gubernatorial race, was accused by women who accused him for groping them more than 30-years ago. Why did they not made these allegation with the media when his fame was skyrocketing as an actor?
So, who are these accusers? Hmmm. Let's get radio talk show host Tom Leykis to reveal their names; if they do exist. He's done it before, when he revealed the name of Kobe Bryant's accuser when he was accused of rape. He revealed Crystal Gail Magnum's name, the woman who accused three members of the Duke lacrosse team of rape. The reason he does this: if they're going to reveal the accused, they may as well reveal the "victim".
The MSM Left will bend over backwards trying to dig up dirt on Cain, but completely IGNORE the backgrounds of Democrats. Whether or not the MSM tries to do its' job or not depends soley upon whether there's an (R) or a (D) after a candidate's name.

Clinton was protected by the liberals in the Paula Jones affair. Even if Herb Cain is guilty of sexual harassment the conservatives will protect him. If they are real? Oh well, Mr. Cain answered that question for you just a few hours ago. Guess what...THE ACCUSERS ARE REAL! Are they "made up figures" for all you know? Cain says that he was accused, so I doubt if he's making it up.
NBC reports they have confirmed that one woman received a settlement from the National Restaurant Association after complaining about inappropriate sexual conduct by Herman Cain. As for the women's anonymity, typically in legal settlements of this type, the accuser agrees not to disclose any information about the settlement.

You know something G.T., it could very well be an attack on Cain because he's black. However, it raises a bitter irony if Cain were to claim that it is.
Over the years right-wingers have fashioned a "counterpoint" to left-wing accusations of racist intent. "Playing the Race Card" has become a talking point mantra to white conservatives who view themselves as being race neutral. What they see now is a chance to throw the accusations back in the face of white liberals. So the games begin. Let's just wait and see if Cain takes the cue from the conservative base and plays his "Race Card."

That may be an assumption on your part, we do not know this to be true until the evidence presents itself fully and being a Conservative i do not hate anyone so you can generalize all you want.
The price one pays for being popular is anyone who disagrees with there views are by there vary nature to attack weather it is a past event that can be forgiven if asked for or something that is made up to make them look bad. The same happen to Celebrities, this is vile human nature at it's worst. I find this a waist of our time and we should be more constructive as a society but as usual we slander those who do not see it our way as if we are all supposed to be a collective and agree of the same thing, i guess compromise is out of popularity.

The MSM was simply going to ignore the Bill Clinton affair with Monica. It was Matt Drudge who broke the story, the new media covered it thus forcing the MSM to cover it. To this day the MSM still hates the ground Matt Drudge walks on. It was that story that launched Drudge to the status he has now. The left came to Clinton's defense and said that "it was just sex". It didn't matter that Clinton had a known history of womanizing as Governor of Arkansas. Liberals voted for him for President, and he was re-elected. So any so called outraged by the left over this should be met with extreme laughter into the faces of the left for trying to make an issue out of it. Cain didn't touch any woman, didn't use a cigar in an inappropriate way and as far as the politico's own story says, he didn't even make a sexual comment. I'm going to time the news cycle of this so called story just to see if it lasts longer then the Rick Perry rock story. The politico is saying that Cain needs to explain the details, Politico is suppose to be the ones who have the details in the first place. It's not Cain's obligation to do the job of the Politico if they indeed have credible information to release.

I'm now convinced that Cains race has absolutely nothing to do with story. Cain is the "polled" frontrunner. These type of accusations and attacks happen all the time in the political arena. Women and relationship trouble/scandals have haunted Clinton, Gingrich, Barney Frank, John McCain...the list goes on.
This Herman Cain story doesn't seem like it's going anywhere any time soon. The main reason this story is not going away is because Cain's political inexperience, lack of common sense, and his refusal to "come clean" from the start.

Reread the story Gerald, geez!!!! The politico even said the gesture Cain made was not sexual. Hell I even posted exactly what they said. It doesn't matter if Cain remembers what happened, the politico in it's own reporting said that his gesture wasn't overtly sexual, so this fake controversy can't be called "sexual harassment" like the left wants to try and call it. The Politico is famous for making up stories and claiming that the got the story from the "anonymous sources". As I told Gerald, if what Herman did ever equates to the actions of John Edwards, Congress David Wu and Bill Clinton and Anthony Wiener then I will express concern over this, even though this non sexual gesture "controversy" happened fifteen years ago. lol

What was the inappropriate sexual conduct allen? What was the inappropriate sexual conduct? It would seem that what the Politico said and what NBC is reporting is at odds with each other. Until the details of what happened are reviled, I'm not going to buy into what NBC of all places says about the matter.

You know something Tyrone, there's nothing I'd like to see more than a Herman Cain v. Barack Obama race for the Presidency of The United States of America! I'm positive that the Obama camp would like nothing more than that also. As a matter of fact, I believe that most, if not all Democrat supporters of President Obama would love to see Cain get the G.O.P. nomination. A Herman Cain nomination would be a "gift" to the Democrats and President Obama. That's why it's makes absolutely no sense that anyone on the left would want to, or even need to bring Cain down.

Not to compare President Obama to Lincoln, but Obama was an elected state senator. Cain was not. Obama was a Civil Right attorney, Cain was not. Obama was an elected U.S. senator. Cain was not.
Being that President Obama and Abraham Lincoln have at least those three things in common, (aside from them both being president) what would make you mention Lincoln and Cain in the same sentence?
