The religion of peace strikes again at churches in Nigeria on Christmas Day.
I woke up this morning on Christmas Day in a pretty much good mood. That didn't last long. I made the mistake of turning on Fox News and discovering that the representatives of the "religion of peace" aka Muslim Extremists carried out terrorists attacsk in churches in Nigeria killing 27 Christians. They used five bombs in their attacks. These attacks on Churches on Christmas Day are clearly meant as an attack on Christianity by Muslim extremists. It's stories like this that makes me simply roll my eyes every time I hear brainwashed progressives put forth the notion that conservatives are anti Muslim. Clearly, the problem is that a certain percentage of Muslims have a deep hatred of Christians. Progressives have criticized conservatives in their stance against not wanting a mega mosque built near ground zero. They've been called "bigoted" and anti Muslim, Islamophobes etc. My question is this. Will progressives ever comprehend where the real hatred is coming from and towards whom? If progressives ever woke up on Christmas Day enlightened to what is going on in the world, that would indeed be a true Christmas Miracle.

When I read that you saw the story on, "FAUX NEWS", I knew that there was a dog-whistle attack on Muslims coming.
There are extremest Muslims out there, there's no doubt about it and only a fool would deny it. However, your statements about "brainwashed progressives" shows that your intent, as well as FAUX News, is merely to demonize both progressives and Muslims.
FAUX News uses stories such as this to forward a political agenda here in the U.S. They could care less about the people who were killed. Their only concern is about the unsubstantial image of the "religion" being attacked, rather than, 'per-se' the people who were killed.
The presumed sectarian violence in Nigeria is nothing new. The violence has been going on for years. Last year Muslims and Christians attacked each other, both in retaliation for attacks upon the other. However, many believe the root of the violence has more to do with battles over land, scarce resources and political clout other than religious reasons.
FAUX News could care less about the people who were killed in the attack. If brutal and senseless attacks were of the essence (without the aggrandizing of religious fervor), then this Christmas day senseless and brutal attack would have made their headlines.

How is it that progressives always make excuses and don't condemn the radical Islamist extremists who commit violent actions but can condemn other religions who commit similar acts?
During the Civil Rights movement, member of the Ku Klux Klan, who dare call themselves "Christians" committed acts of terrorism and murder against blacks, are condemned for their actions.
Or the so-called "Christian" like Eric Robert Rudolph, who's anti-gay, and anti-abortion stance led for him to commit acts of violence by bombing both abortion clinics and gay night clubs killing people in his wake. He was also suspected of the Atlanta Olympic Park bombing. And he dares call himself a "warrior of God".
Other than the people who were sheltering him, he was condemned for his actions.
I don't care what religion you belong to, but if you commit acts of violence that leads to deaths of people, I don't, nor will I do consider you a person of God.

Why don't I ever hear progressives commending terrorsts attacks by memeber of Islam fanatic groups? Progressives over the past ten yeas blamed Bush and Cheney for 911 by far then actually blaming Al Qaeda. Once again,the facts are a beyatch I know, but you know the drill. So when CNN, MSNBC, NBC News, ABC News and CBS News reported the same story as well, they were just reporting it as news, but Fox was the one with the agenda? Islamic extremists killed 39 Christians on Christmas Day by setting off multiple bombs in Churches, yet your angst against "Fox News" just because they reported it?Really? Do you have any evidence of Christian starting any violence against Muslims? If you do, by all means present it. I don't blame Christian Nigerians for not allowing themselves to be bullied and attacked. I have no problem with them standing up for themselves.

Nice try, but this isn't the Civil War era. You're off by about 146 years. The members of the KKK aren't Christians and never were Christian. The Klan has always hated Jews, yet Jesus Christ was a Jew, so for them to claim to be Christians, they would have had to hate Christ. The Klan's version of Christianity has no foot hold in Christianity, whereas radical Islam is entrenched in the Muslim faith through the middle east and around the world.

Here's the story of that attack from Christianity Today, 5/01/2004.
In August of this year Christian Nigerians attacked a Mosque on the Muslim holy day of Eid. The Christmas day attack by Muslims was probably a retaliation for the August attack.
In Nigeria "religion" has made both Christian and Muslim lose their minds. Both sides claims the other wants to persecute them and/or dominate the other with their "religion."
Of course the "religious" groups here in the U.S. and other parts of the world will side with their own faith in making the other faith out as the bad guy.

The roots of the violence in Nigeria is a lot deeper than you'll ever hear from your precious "FAUX News." There are quite a few Nigerian born American citizens here in the U.S., and I'm sure some live in the Baltimore/D.C. area.

p.allen obviously knows nothing about Islam, beginning with the Koran. Unlike Christianity, which began under subjugation, Islam emerged out of conquest. Both religions reflect their backgrounds.
