Pelosi's Socialist Health care bill passed the House.

The trojan horse beast passes the House. Once again, so much for the bill being posted online so Americans could read the bill before it was voted on. The slogan "thiefs in the night" is extremely appropriate in describing Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat hordes that voted alongside her. The final vote was 220 in favor and 215 against. One self serving Republican voted in favor of the monster bill. Republican Joseph Cao from Louisiana was the sole Republican to cross the aisle and support this horrendous bill. Cao more then likely voted in favor of the bill, because his district is hugely Democrat and was the district that was formerly represented by William Jefferson. It doesn't matter the reason, Joseph Cao needs to be added to the 2010 midterm hit list. 39 Democrats joined the 176 Republicans in opposing this dangerous bill. Nancy Pelosi "likened the legislation to the passage of Social Security in 1935 and Medicare 30 years later". Here's a funny fact about the liberals most celebrated and worshiped social dependency programs. Those programs are all BROKE and have yet to work! Their programs are adding hundreds of billions of dollars to the national debt and hurting America, yet these mental clowns actually believe that these programs are "good for America". I truly despise Nancy Pelosi. If the 48% of Americans that didn't vote for Obama wouldn't have to suffer the consequences of this terrible bill, I would say let the 52% suffer from their own ignorance. Unfortunately, that isn't going to be the case. If this bill isn't stopped in the Senate, people who exercise common sense are going to have to suffer right along side the clueless slap happy liberal drones. Anybody with a brain knows that the public option is nothing more then a poison pill to kill off private insurers thus leaving the government as the sole provider once the dust settles. In the House bill that nobody read
"it would require most Americans to carry insurance and provide federal subsidies to those who otherwise could not afford it". In other words, the government will take away a person's freedom of choice and demand they obey what they say or else. Here's another scary provision of the bill the nobody read before it was voted on, "Both consumers and companies would be slapped with penalties if they defied the government's mandates". This is how the government is going to snuff out private insurers and become the only game in town.

"Insurance industry practices such as denying coverage on the basis of pre-existing medical conditions would be banned, and insurers would no longer be able to charge higher premiums on the basis of gender or medical history. In a further slap, the industry would lose its exemption from federal antitrust restrictions on price gouging, bid rigging and market allocation."

The government can lose all the money it wants covering pre-existing medical conditions and not raising premiums to offset the costs, because they can just print money. Private insurers don't have that "option". Can we say "unfair competition"? The claim about the government providing "choice and competition" is a bold faced lie. If the New York Yankees went to compete against a high school baseball team, how can the high school team compete against the Yankees? This bill if signed by Obama will cripple private insurers. That is what liberals wanted all along. No one read the bill. Liberals want to take over one-sixth of the American economy, drive the country deeper into debt, take more personal freedoms away from citizens just so they can emulate the Canadian Health Care system? This is what they admire?!

If Doctors can't charge for their services, what is the incentive for them to practice medicine? If Doctors drop out of practicing medicine, would that not create shortages among doctors using the simple principal of supply and demand?

Liberals are harmful to the health of Americans. I do agree with Barack Obama in something he said today.

Obama said "Democrats have a 70-year history of creating and defending programs like Social Security and Medicare". Obama also said that today's vote "is going to define the difference between the Republican and Democratic parties for decades."

He couldn't be more right but not in the way he thinks the American people will define the two parties after this vote and if he signs the bill into law. The vast majority of the polls show that Americans do not support this bill or socialized medicine period. Democrats do defend social dependency programs that keep people in need, grows the size of government and adds more debt onto backs of future generation. Is that something for liberals to really be proud of?

I'm curious to see the reactions of liberals who supported this monstrosity when their health insurance rates go up. Make no mistake, if this bill passes in the Senate; those of us paying for health insurance will be paying a lot more for the same health insurance with no additional benefits. Can one of the liberals explain to me how that's a reform? How the taxes and fees to be imposed on health insurance will actually make the cost of it go down?

I'm glad a majority of the Democrats are so far gone into their delusion hopefully that will contribute to their demise come 2010 and 2012!

I'm glad Obama is too smug to see the looming disaster this will be for his re-election bid.

I hope all the Democrats and the turncoat Republican who voted for this monstrosity are utterly defeated and removed from office come 2010!

I also believe the Republicans who voted for the fraudulent stimulus package need to go too!

I know that the people in Canada that hate their style of medical care at one time supported it. The people who support national healthcare in America are mostly bottom feeders of society. They are freebers. All they care about it the perception that it isn't going to cost them anything.

Liberals know smears not facts Frank. That will never change. Liberals are more then welcome to try and prove me wrong.

2010 is a far gone conclusion at this point almondtea. It's not a matter of whether Republicans will pick up seats, it's just a matter of how many. The vote last night was a clear contrast between Republicans being on the side of the majority of Americans who don't want this bill to pass, and Democrats beholden to their socialist ideology that Americans do not want to embrace.

Almondtea" I'm glad Obama is too smug to see the looming disaster this will be for his re-election bid.

I don't want him to see the disaster until is too late almondtea. People are beyond ticked right now at the state of the economy and Obama out right ignoring it. Obama will not win another term in 2012, but conservatives need to lay the groundwork in 2010 just in case this socialist health bill passes and is signed into law,the next administration will have the votes and power needed to kill it before it is enacted.

almondtea "I also believe the Republicans who voted for the fraudulent stimulus package need to go too!"

That will be Joseph Cao of Louisiana. Lindsey Graham said that the healthcare bill in it's current form is dead on arrival in the Senate. Lets just see if Lindsey will have the testicular fortitude to back up his talk and stick to his words. As this bill is taken apart and more is known about it, a lot of of what Pelosi loaded it up with will be highlighted and people will be just that more angered.

bebe "see Tyrone we all want you to run. Look into it. We need sane people not some socialist scum. Hitler was a Democratic Socialist and was a Muslim since 1926 according to an Indian Muslim. Ghandi was in love with Hitler."

Bebe, I heard you on Tom's show the other day. Have you ever challenge Bill the Muslim? You are right. Many of the ideological views that the German Socialists embraced are also embraced by liberal Democrats. They can try and deny it all they want to their hearts content.

I'm not all that keen on the bill in it's present form. Frankly, I'm all for the "Single Payer Option" whereas premiums, copayments, and deductibles would be eliminated.

Nice touch Tyrone with the "propaganda" piece put together by the ultra-right-wing conservative think tank, Mackinac Center for Public Policy. Oh yes, I'm very familiar with their so-called "studies." I've known about them since the 1990's with their bogus and misleading studies attempting to privatize state institutions and deregulate public
education.

Groups like those use methods that play to the ignorance of the listener or viewer. What they mainly count on is the "hope" that the listener doesn't use "COMMON SENSE"!!!

Sure, there are problems within the Canadian health care system. Sure you can find a "few" Canadians that are dis-satisfied with the way it works. But, let's use just a itsy-bitsy teeny-weeny bit of COMMON SENSE...okay??

Under the Canadian rules, a citizen cannot purchase health care in order to "jump the line" on others who might be waiting for that same procedure (such as an MRI). However that Canadian citizen, if he so chooses, can pay for that service in the U.S. Basically, if a Canadian feels as though he can't wait and has the "MONEY" to pay in the U.S., more power to him.

What the Mackinac folks don't tell you is that the number of Canadians that do this is small...very, very, very small! Secondly, what they're doing is not illegal. Canadians are able to buy health insurance "IN THE U.S." so where's the interview with the Canadians that purchased INSURANCE?

If a Canadian can afford an expensive medical procedure, that same Canadian surely could have afforded monthly health care premiums!! Where's the interview with the Canadians who don't like their "socialized medicine" and opted to purchase insurance in the U.S.???

On the other hand is Americans who don't have health care insurance, nor the "MONEY" to pay for an expensive medical procedure. Canadian health care is free for Canadians...right? I believe we can agree that the numbers of those Canadians who seek medical care in the U.S. is small.

What about the numbers of American's who don't have health care who "sneak" into Canada and around their laws to get free service?? I think you'd already know that these folks are not eager to be interviewed by the Mackinac center. I live in Detroit, which is just across the river shown in the video. I can honestly tell you that I personally know 3 people, including a family, that utilized Canadian health services up until Sept. 11, 2001.

As for the health insurance industry...SCREW EM'!! Health insurance companies didn't post record profits last year by paying for Americans hospital visits and doctors care.

You know I will allan. lol

Most of the idiots in congress weren't keen on the aspects in the bill anyways. That didn't stop them from voting in favor of it's passage now did it? You being for the "GOVERNMENT option" isn't no surprise to me allen. You can use the perfumed name "Single Payer Option" all you like. Its nothing more then when liberals call themselves progressives because the word liberal has become an ugly word just like Government Option. A pig is still a swine allen.

P allen "Nice touch Tyrone with the "propaganda" piece put together by the ultra-right-wing conservative think tank, Mackinac Center for Public Policy. You're one to talk about propaganda allen. "Ultra Right Wing"? What makes my position "Ultra Right Wing". You should know better by now allen to never use talking points against me, because I will call you out everytime you try it!! Let me use your silly logic for my amusement for moment. I guess I'm an "Ultra Right Winger", because I want a strong tort reform measure in a healthcare bill to root out the ambulance chasing trail lawyers. You need to spend some time way from the Daily Kos allen. So tell me what makes me an "Ultra Right Winger" allen or people who support my views on REAL health care reform.

p allen "Groups like those use methods that play to the ignorance of the listener or viewer. What they mainly count on is the "hope" that the listener doesn't use "COMMON SENSE"!!!"

Spoken like the pseudo elitist you desperately aspire to be allen.
Just tell me that the information I post about the Canadian and European Health Care sytems is wrong and how it is wrong allen, that is all I ask. Tell me that there aren't any doctor shortages in Canada allen. Just tell me that people from Canada and Europe aren't coming to the United States for medical care allen. Just tell me that people in countries with socialized medicine don't have to be placed on waiting lists allen for illnesses such as cancer. Just tell me that the governments that have socialized medicine have to the most state of the art technology just like the United States have allen. Just tell me that people in countries with socialized medicine don't have to pay higher taxes for their "free health care". Feel free to start any time allen.

Notice how the original aruguement on the issue of health care was about "Universal" coverage. Now it is about "Single Pay" aka Government option. The talking points was that there is 40 million people in this country uninsured right allen? I've noticed that the people who use these numbers never say that there is 40 million "legal citizens" in this country without health insurance. They included illegals in their numbers which is 20 millin. Subtract off 20 million fro the 40 million claim. That leaves 20 million uninsured. Take off 10 million people who can afford health coverage but "by choice" decide to go without because they feel they are invincible. That leaves 10 million uninsured. The U.S Population minus the 20 million illegals is roughly 280 million people. That leaves the amount uninsured in America right now in the range of 3 to 5%! The pelosi bill will cover 1% less then what is already being coverage.

p allen "As for the health insurance industry...SCREW EM'!! Health insurance companies didn't post record profits last year by paying for Americans hospital visits and doctors care."

Record profits bad!!ARGH!!! ARGH!!!PUKE!!! Grow up allen. The class warfare line is so very over played! You are the perfect drone. You have multimillionaires in congress snowballing you saying that they are looking out for the little guy's best interest, and you fall for it hook line and sinker time and time again; I'm a free market pro capitalist to the core. I dont' begrudge anyone for doing well. This is my motto,

Empowered people know how to obtain
Dependent people know how to complain.

I know what camp your in allen.

Rich liberals in congress got you ginned up in thinking

Insurance companies making profits is bad

Oil companies making profits is bad

Health care device makers making profits bad

Banks making profits bad

Blogger is made by google, and google is making record profits. Yet you contribute to it's profits allen, opps!lol When you bought your computer, you contributed to the profits of manufactures who made the components to your computer. You are also contributing to the profitability of the company that provides your internet access. Do you really think allen for one nanosecond that the same millionaires in congress that gives you the talking points to hate the insurance companies are actually going to take part in the same health care that they want you to be apart of? You can't be that gullible can you?

CB;"Just tell me that the information I post about the Canadian and European Health Care sytems is wrong and how it is wrong allen, that is all I ask".

It's WRONG and MISLEADING PROPAGANDA!! The information given in the video's you've posted are not representative of the "VAST MAJORITY" of Canadian citizens.

The image they attempt to cast on Canadian health care is the "WRONG" image! The video "MISLEADS" the viewer by not telling the complete story. The intent of the video is to "PROPAGANDIZE", by making the viewer believe that Canadian health care and universal health care does not work AT ALL!

I just happen to be reading This article from the right-wing web site American Renaissance. The article points to a Canadian Television (CTV) poll that concludes that 91 percent of Canadians felt that Canada’s health care system was better than the United States.

The results are not that of an American Right-wing Think Tank, polling a "few" disgruntled Canadian citizens. THE RESULTS ARE FROM A CANADIAN POLLSTER RANDOMLY POLLING CANADIANS!!

So, of course you're going to believe the right-wing think tank over the Canadian citizens themselves.... you wouldn't be a good conservative if you didn't...

PAA,

Propagandize and mislead are all Pelosi, Obama and the rest have done in regards to health care. First, the number was 47 million uninsured Americans. Now, they're using 30 million. What happened to the other 17 million? Did they suddenly vanish or miraculously obtain insurance?

What about those "obscene" profits that insurance companies were raking in? That was misleading as well since insurance companies have been enjoying bank breaking 2 to 2.5 percent profits.

Finally, a few questions I'd like answered since we're all in a giving mood:

1. If the health care/insurance situation is so dire, why aren't any of the reforms going to begin until 2013?

2. Why are all of the taxes, fees and fines being implemented immediately but the reforms are being held until 2013?

Frank, I live in Detroit. Fortunately my job provides full health coverage. Out side of that, NO insurance company is my friend. I pay "OUTRAGEOUS" rates for automobile and homeowners insurance. Which neither I have yet to make a claim. I being gouged by what we call "REDLINING!" Thus SCREW THE INSURANCE COMPANIES!!

Frank:"1. If the health care/insurance situation is so dire, why aren't any of the reforms going to begin until 2013?".

Frank, the bill isn't even law yet... Medicaid was signed into law one year before it's coverage began.

It's going to take time to put the needed structure into place such as the major administrative functions of bill processing and benefit payment. It probably won't be efficient for 3 to 5 years.

Frank:"2. Why are all of the taxes, fees and fines being implemented immediately but the reforms are being held until 2013?".

What taxes, fees and fines are being implemented "immediately" on a bill that has not gone through the Senate???? And is not a LAW????

Those major admin. functions are in the form of new federal agencies and expenditures - about 111 so far. How is the creation of more government agencies going to be less costly to us? It seems more likely that the delay is to get these new bureaucracies up and running.

As far as taxes, fines and fees associated with this bill (H.R. 3962), no the bill isn't a law yet - thank God. However, there are numerous taxes in the House version of the bill.

How exactly does the raising of taxes on our health insurance help drive down the cost of health insurance?

Yes I did debate Bill the Muslim.
He said Islam was in Africa first and then I said well the Queen of Ethopia learned about Jesus and his religion in the 1st century with Phillip. He lost the debate and as usual Tom had to go to a commercial. He couldnt answer any questions I asked. Ask for a debate. I won one last week with Muslims against Sharia. After I asked them if they were against Sharia, that would mean they are against allah and muhammad and quran as the Sharia is Quran. He got mad, madder, and the maddest, after I asked his why was he still a Muslim if he didnt believe in slavery, pedophilia, lying and murder. He was livid.

Good news, African Muslims are now telling the truth about Islam and slavery and the racist Arab Muslims and Egyptians, and Pakistanis.

Iraqi Africans say racism is 200 times worst under Islam:
