The popularity of the liberal rag known as Newsday.

When Air America filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last week, it proved that people won't listen to liberals on the radio even if the content is presented free of charge. With that being said, why would any liberal publication think for a moment that people would actually "pay" to read their content? I'm sure some people have heard of the liberal rag known as "Newsday". As with most liberal rags, Newsday is facing a steep decline in its circulation and readership. So the kings of smart over at Newsday came up with a "brilliant" idea. Since people weren't buying their magazines in print, they thought maybe people would pay money to read Newsday online. So instead of them doing any type of market research to understand the "real" reason why nobody is reading their magazine, Newsday spent over four million dollars redesigning their website. So when they were done, the content was still the same liberal dribble. The only thing that was changed was the website. So what was the grand pay off for the wizards of smart over at Newsday? For their efforts, Newsday signed up a whooping 35 subscribers to their website that they paid $4,000,000 dollars to redesign. That breaks down to roughly $114,285 dollars per subscriber. This is why most liberals suck at business. I predict Newsday will soon go the way of Air America soon.

Tell people what's happening with The Washington Times and answer the question has that conservative newspaper EVER made money.

Isn't that about how much each job cost the stimulus package? Is there a common theme?

Oh Darkstar. I don't have access to the Washington Time's financial Darkstar. You missed my original commentary about Air America. If the Washington Times is losing money, it isn't because Americans don't want to read the conservative leaning content of the paper. Most conservatives simply listen to talk radio or get their news online from many conservative publications. Newsmax.com is adding readers left and right and is profitable. If the Washington Times went to a fee per access model, I bet they will have more subscribers then 35 like Newsday Darkstar.

Let me further illustrate what I mean. These are the cable news ratings from last night.

FOXNEWS O'REILLY 3,581,000
FOXNEWS BECK 3,196,000
FOXNEWS HANNITY 3,133,000
FOXNEWS BAIER 2,624,000
FOXNEWS GRETA 2,415,000
FOXNEWS SHEP 2,187,000
CNNHN GRACE 914,000
CNN BEHAR 949,000
MSNBC OLBERMANN 818,000
CNN KING 796,000
MSNBC MADDOW 726,000

CNN and MSBNC were once again in last place BY A MILE!! The combined ratings of MSNBC's "heavy hitters" can't even match the ratings of Fox News lowest rated show being Shepard Smith. As I said, nobody wants to read what liberals write nor watch them on television.

About now im looking for a laugh after watching the "state of the union" blame Bush, tirade from last night.

I desperately need a Liberal to articulate why no one watches nor reads, Liberal Propo.

I asked this question to my best friend, in Los Angeles last night. Whom happens to be a "hollywierd Liberal". He tried to make me laugh, but only caused a chuckle, when he claimed that the numbers for ratings are not accurate, as he feels Olby and Madcow have higher ratings in certain areas that O'reality (pun intented). True in theory, if your only counting San Fran, Berkley, and NYC. Sad excuse, I know.
So i sit here, coffee in hand, waiting for some Liberal to make me spit it all over my screen, in laughter, by trying his or her best to explain why Liberal Propaganda does not sell with the American consumer.
I just put up a screen cover, so give it your best!

Tyrone,

Want to see why people are tired of liberal antics? See NOW and other liberal and feminist reaction to Tim Tebow ad for Super Bowl. They are stooping as low as to attack his mother over that, because the Tebows are prolifers and evangelicals.

CB;" As I said, nobody wants to read what liberals write nor watch them on television".

As I've said before also, Republicans and conservatives only have "ONE" TV News outlet!

Republicans and Conservatives readily admit that that don't trust, nor watch the so-called "liberal media" TV News. So, by using simple deductive reasoning it's easy to surmise that most (if not all) of FOX's viewers are conservatives and Republicans. Does that mean that "nobody" watches the other News programs?? Only an idiot would think so!

There are nearly 64 million basic cable subscribers in the U.S. Each FOX News show generates about 3 million viewers. That leaves roughly 60 million who aren't watching FOX at all! So what are they watching....? That's right...THE "LIBERAL MEDIA" THAT FOX VIEWERS DON'T WATCH!!

So according to the figues you've posted Tyrone, FOX News shows generate roughly "4 PERCENT" of the total of cable subscribers, while "96 PERCENT" watches the "MANY" other "liberal media" news shows.

The fact of the matter is, FOX News is number one...AMONG REPUBLICANS AND CONSERVATIVES!! They are number one because they are "THE ONLY ONE"!!!! Unless you think that MSNBC, CNN, CNNHN, ABC, NBC or CBS are not "liberal outlets"...

FOX News led the Cable News channels for the State of The Union address.

Live + Same Day Cable News Daily Ratings for January 27, 2010

P2+ Total Day
FNC – 1,884,000 viewers
CNN – 768,000 viewers
MSNBC –565,000 viewers
CNBC – 255,000 viewers
HLN –347,000 viewers

However, when you add up the "liberal" News outlets totals, vs. FNC totals, and you roughly have the same amount of viewers...

Factor in the "liberal" broadcast networks (which Republicans and conservatives admit they don't watch) and it will show that FNC's numbers are relatively small by comparison.

Conservatives have one outlet.
Thats further proof that the MSM is bias.

Did I not just post the comment about my buddy in Hollywood, whom gave a very close response to what P-Allen just retorted? Very simular. Please dont take offence to that, I respect your opinion, but dont agree.

The real question is this. Bill O has 2 million more viewers that Maddow. Based on show vs show, why is it that Bill hands Maddow her very so called intellectual glutius maximus every night?

IN all fairness, it would behove all in America to research the issues themselves, not rely on entertainment for their reality.

That being said, let me assume you are thinking "rush Limbaugh". Would it shock you to no avail that I dont use Rush as my daily observations into American news? I know the difference between opinion and Journalism. Anymore, opinion seems to capture the senses, and Liberal opinions are always shallow and predictable.
They have used the same templet for years. Its like that dog next door thats been barking for years, soon you dont hear it anymore, because you block it out.
P-Allen, though I disagree with you about most everything you have posted, that I have read, I gotta give you respect as a man, you are very determined in your beliefs, and you never get into the typical name calling and personal attacks that many on the left engage in, when they disagree.
Id buy you a beer!

Greg;"Conservatives have one outlet.

.

Exactly!!!! The "MAIN STREAM MEDIA" (which includes "ALL" media) is bias!!!

The fact is, FOX News is much a part of the "Main Stream Media" as MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NBC, ABC and others. It has become apparent that every News outlet can, or will show bias, dependent upon the personal political views of it's owners, editors and top brass.

Greg;"The real question is this. Bill O has 2 million more viewers that Maddow. Based on show vs show, why is it that Bill hands Maddow her very so called intellectual glutius maximus every night?".

In the "ratings game" Bill O wins hands down...no doubt about that. However, in the TV ratings game, large numbers don't determine who or what's the most socially important, who is the "best", or for that matter, who's even telling the truth!

Ratings show who is "favored." That is to say, "who you like, and what you want to hear." Hell, MTV's "Jersey Shore" averaged almost 5 million viewers...2 mil more than Bill O!! We might be talking apples and oranges here (Reality show vs. News show) but in TV land, rating is king....right??

It's like this;

Put 10 housewives in a room with cable TV, odd's are they'll end up watching Lifetime, USA or LNM.

Put 10 teenagers in a room with cable TV, odds are...VH1, MTV or BET.

10 politically "libul" types in a room with cable TV, MSNBC, HLN or CNN.

10 politically conservatives in a room with cable TV.... FOX News without a doubt!

Greg;"P-Allen, though I disagree with you about most everything you have posted..., and you never get into the typical name calling and personal attacks that many on the left engage in, when they disagree.

.

Thanks.... I'll have a Heineken!
