Eric Holder and the National NAACP believes blacks are too stupid to pass entrance tests in order to become police officers and firefighters.
If a white supremacist said to a black person that the black person is intellectually inferior to him and wasn't qualified for the job that the black person is currently holding, would the white supremacist have a valid point? Most people more then likely would say no. Unfortunately thanks to the actions of certain people who claim to be "looking out" for best interests of blacks, that answer isn't so cut and dry anymore, and here's why. Liberals believe that blacks and other non white ethnic groups are incapable of doing for themselves. They believe that these groups will always need their "help" in order to have an "even playing field". The way liberals "help" blacks and other groups really doesn't help them. It only gives more fuel for white racists to promote their non whites are inferior propaganda. It helps to strengthen and embolden their claims. In Ohio, the Dayton Police Department was ordered by Eric Holder's Department of Justice to "lower" the percentage points allowed to pass the Dayton Police Entrance exam.
Lowering the bar does nothing to help blacks. All it does it give the impression that mediocrity is a substitution for excellence. In the real world, a failing grade isn't a passing grade! Once again under liberal logic, the concern is about "QUANTITY OVER QUALITY". So by the Department of Justice ordering the passing grades on the civil entrance exams across the country be lowered, is this an admittance by Eric Holder and his DOJ that blacks are intellectually inferior to white candidates? From my perspective, I can't come to any other conclusion. What's sad and despicable is that the National NAACP has come out and defended Eric Holder's actions in ordering the lowering of passing scores. It appears that the only person that wants blacks to rightful earn their positions on the Dayton Police on merit is the Dayton NAACP President Derrick Foward.
I'm scratching my head trying to comprehend how exactly can a test or exam be "racist". Does the exam wears a Klan hood or something? It's one of the dumbest comments I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot of dumb comments in my time by liberals. Once again it comes back to the core argument that they are saying but won't say out loud. They believe that blacks can not comprehend the same information that whites can, period. So are we to believe that learning is discriminatory? The NAACP is suppose to stand for the National Association for the ADVANCEMENT of Colored People. Where is the advancement part in all of this? I've been verbally challenged by liberals, when I say that liberalism has done more harm to blacks in this country then what KKK could have only have hoped of doing. The actions by Eric Holder and his support by the National NAACP completely justified my claim 100%. How could it not? Let's say that black applicants for the Dayton Police Department still can't pass the test even with the lower passing requirements, will Holder demand the passing mark be lowered even more? I haven't even addressed the ramifications of police departments across the country being staffed with unqualified personnel that were hired on affirmative action mandates. The goal is to always have the "best and the brightest" who can do the job not the other way around. Should public safety be jeopardized for the sake of Affirmative Action? The Dayton story is why I oppose Affirmative Action based on race. With A.A, it's always about the skin color of the person rather then the person's qualifications for the job. The exams for the Dayton Police previously required a 66% on Part 1 and and 72% on part 2. In a nutshell, an applicant could pass with the equivalence of a D grade on Part 1 and a C grade on Part 2!! The passing requirements were already low to begin with! Once again, the wizards of smart in an attempt help blacks have actual not only hurt them by not wanting them to reach their fullest potential in learning, they have given the perfect propaganda to use by white racists who believe blacks and other minorities are already dumb to begin with. As usual with liberalism, no good deed goes unpunished.

Not only do I find affirmative action unfair, I find it to be dangerous.
You want to have people to qualify well to do the job and not put others and themselves in jeopardy.
Seriously, just because somebody is a licensed medical doctor does not mean he/she is qualified in ALL field in medicine. It's like having a podiatrist perform a triple bypass surgery.
So, if Eric Holder suggest that they should lower the standards for minorities to become police officers and firefighters or to get a promotion, it is still dangerous.
Suppose there was a serious situation. What is he/she to do? Only a person who worked hard and studied hard knows what to do.

lol, I have experienced that type of logic by many blacks as I was growing up. The worst sins I committed in the eyes of black classmates was that I was very good in math, science and civics. I was accused a few times of trying to talk "white". lol Those were the days. I believe more then 10% of black aren't like you described though. Pass or fail, there is no such thing as a racist or discriminatory test. The Dayton Police has black officers, so those officers must have at one time took the entrance exam and passed.

This brings to mind a letter to the editor in D. Horowitz's Heterodoxy magazine some years ago, where the writer, who was black, was describing his experience while learning calculus. As I recall, at the beginning of the course the instructor said something like, "If you can't master this material, I will fail you with pleasure." (Imagine saying that today!) But at the same time he was always available to explain the material. Well, this guy spent a rather harried semester clawing his way up to the ledge of achievement and wondering if he would make it. But he did. And of course he gained entry into a basic branch of mathematical knowledge with the assurance that his achievement was genuine.

A black person isn't "supposed" to sound in any particular manner. However, because of your thick lips, and like most blacks that have a Southern drawl that seems "lip-lazy", you indeed sound black. I have read this blog for years. And a lot of times I have sided with Tyrone with a lot of issues.
I admire Tyrone for being well educated and I do not feel that he is "acting white". What does a white person act like?
I am Caucasian and growing up, I had struggled with my education and it was not easy and my social skills. All I have is a high school diploma and I'm proud of that.
My best skills are history and art. Unlike Tyrone, I am not skilled with advance mathematics, science and civics. Everybody is gifted in different ways. Tyrone chose the right path and worked hard at it.
Though, I do have a certain learning disability, I do what I can to stay out of trouble and to work hard to keep a roof over my head.
Right now, I suggest you need to knock off your stereotyping, and to start thinking for yourself and to stop having others do it for you. But that is up to make that decision.

I speak english, but there are dozens of countries that are inhabited by whites who do NOT SPEAK ENGLISH allen. So if I speak perfect or near perfect english, it has absolutely nothing to do with trying to "act" like a particular race. The premise is stupid allen. He earned it, and his achievement can never be doubted nor disputed. The big overhang of Affirmative Action will always be the opposite. Lowering test scores just to hire black faces clearly shows that the legitimacy and qualification of the blacks hired can seriously be doubted and disputed and nor respected.
Lowering the test scores so blacks can pass is a slap in the face to blacks in general. I wish I will be asked to do an on air debate with someone from the national NAACP or anyone else who supports this madness. I truly want to understand the mindset of people who actually believe this is a good idea. Lowering the test passing score so more black applicants can pass is the equivalent of a black child riding a bicycle with the training wheels never being removed, while other kids are riding around with theirs removed.
Sometimes I think things might be "racial" but not "racist", I might go to the YMCA and play basketball, the other players on the court might be mostly black so the population racially might be mostly black but is not racist.
I'm not sure if I believe this is so but one might be able to make a case, aptitude tests might be "racial" but not "racist."

If you've read this blog for years (and my posts) you would know that I think independent of anyone here. If I agreed with most, or everything that "you" or Tyrone says, it would be very easy for anyone else to make claim that I'm not thinking for myself. However, being that I don't agree with you, how can you accuse me of not thinking for myself?
I will tell you this... I pray to God that Blacks in America would come together to build a positive and progressive economic, political, social, educational and spiritual bond with the purpose of lifting American Blacks out of the economic, political, social, educational and spiritual backwardness that's basically threatening our existence. If blacks (as a people, such as American Jews, Arabs, Asians) would just come together on these social issue, there would be no need nor reason for Affirmative Action, set-asides, NAACP, college, police, fire or civil service test score adjustments, etc..
As far as the "stereotyping", Tyrone brought that up stating he had been accused of "talking white." It's well known, and it a fact that Americans of different ethnic groups, nationalities, cultures, races and even American regions speak the English language with different accents and inflections. I do not trust any so called black professional. Affirmative action was the law of the land from 1965 to this date. I'm not going to waste my time trying to figure out which negro knows what he's doing and which negro don't. I could care less how many movies are made about Ben Carson, he still rode the AA train. So has Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell and Michael Steele. Herman Cain went to a negro college, so his AA credentials are written in stone. And you don't have to be a racist to see it as I do. Although most whites wont say it in public, most feel the same way as I do.
I'm not surprised by this revelation.
