Will blacks get anything for their support of Obama the second time around seeing they didn't get anyting the first time?

We've all heard the old saying "why buy the cow, when you can get the milk for free". When you are able to get the milk over and over without fail, you then become accustomed to receiving that milk as a given. You tend to take it for granted that you will always get it. That is how the Democratic Party views blacks and other special interest groups. Once upon a time about thirty years ago or so, Democrats would promise blacks they would do things in order to win their votes. Of course the party never delivered, but they still got the majority of black voters to vote for the Democratic party. Now, the Democratic Party doesn't even promise blacks anything anymore. They just expect them to vote for them by simply panting the GOP as some racist extremist party that will return blacks to picking crops and will bring back Jim Crow. All I can say about that is that gullible and naive goes hand and hand. Thank god I am a critical thinker and can see through BS .One would think that blacks would be somewhat angry at the high black unemployment rate and especially the very high black teen unemployment rate. If the person in the white house was a white republican, then the so called black leaders would be raising high hell, but since the person is a  black Democrat, the issue hasn't even been raised not even during the campaigns. Well now that the election is over, some of the black leaders are claiming to Obama that they are owed. Is the black community owed help from Obama? Not really, most blacks are the political property of the Democratic Party anyways. Recently the Urban League President Marc Morial wrote a letter to Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi and for some odd reason John Boehner. The letter urged them to put "a special focus on those communities where unemployment is and remains stubbornly and persistently high." What Mr. Morial wrote in his letter sounds good in theory, but here's the problem with his request. Obama won the election. That means that he's a lame duck. There is no consequences if he does nothing to help address "those communities where unemployment is stubbornly and persistently high". Instead of  Mr. Morial writing the letter after the election, it would have had more importance if he did so during Obama's first term and before the election not after. As for why he wrote John Boehner, I still can't figure that one out. To be perfectly honest, there is no political fruit to be gained by John Boehner by addressing the issue. The GOP is poison in the minds of blacks thanks to the Democratic smear machine and their allies in the black communities. I wonder why  this wasn't an issue during National Association for the Advancement of Colored Progressive's 103rd annual meeting back in June? I do remember the audience booing Romney for saying he would repeal Obamacare. Obama was a no show. Joe Biden took his place and the issue of the high black unemployment rate didn't even come up. In the grand scheme of things, it didn't matter. Obama received 93% of the vote from blacks.

NAACP President Benjamin Jealous said Obama should raise taxes on the rich by implying “we need Republicans to think hard and to pull back from the cliff, 98 percent of our families, who make up the bulk of this nation, from seeing our taxes being raised.” Interesting that Mr Jealous would say something so incredibly stupid like which he said. For starters, fifty percent of Americans do not even pay income taxes.. Second, why would Republicans ever listen to the likes of Benjamin Jealous? Are they going to be suddenly liked by blacks if the GOP abandons it's platform of being against higher taxes? You all know the answer to that. When it comes to fake black leaders, I can't leave out  the most well known fake reverend and all around race hustling poverty pimp Al Sharpton. Al said after meeting with Obama a few days ago "“the president heard us loud and clear” about raising taxes on those making over $250,000 during the fiscal cliff negotiations and not cutting spending on programs that impact the middle and working class". Democrats have been foaming at the mouth over the comments by Mitt Romney after the election when he spoke to donors, when he said "he just couldn't compete with Santa Clause" meaning Obama. That comment harps back to his 47% remark. Romney was 100% spot on correct and accurate in what he said on both occasions. Al Sharpton actually spilled the beans. Sharpton  just like Jealous wants taxes increased on those ultra rich two hundred fifty thousand dollaraires so that there would be no "cutting spending on PROGRAMS that impact the middle and working class". This is about fleecing the tax payers in order to reward the tax users. What Al doesn't get is that the middle class has been eroding for the last four years even with funding of his beloved social programs in place. The country is technically broke and the only thing that black progressives just like their white counter parts care about is keeping the printing presses running in order to keep the gravy train running just a little bit longer until they are out of power, then the train can officially derail. I would ask when will most blacks finally wake up and realize what is going on, but I am not going to do that. It's easy to lead people based on emotion, but you can't do it with facts. They have to come to that conclusion on their own, and it's not happening anytime soon with blacks.

What many blacks see in Obama is just an illusion. While many complain about the high-rise of unemployment, many still treat him as if he is the Messiah; I'm speaking metaphorically, by the way.

An interesting story I've read years ago in a Larry Meeks column about a white man, who debated with his black coworkers as to why they vote mostly Democrat, especially black Democrats and not the Republicans. They claim that the Republicans are racist and labeled black Republicans as "Uncle Toms". While he pointed out the shoddy records of the Democratic party and and the people that they voted for, his coworkers got defensive and tried to play the race card against him. His response to them was, "what have they done for you?" They had no answer for that.

That depends on what segment of the community you are from. If you are an undocumented alien from the West Indies or Africa he will help you.
Unfortunately, if you are a US Citizen opening up the floodgates at a time when jobs are scarce is going to hurt many people of all colors.

Employers are shifting to part time workers if you can find a job. Many are cutting back and our hope is the business cycle will help.

People who are analytical or critical thinkers don't fall for the racial dogma that progressives constantly use Big Pop. I've had many progressives both black and white call me an Uncle Tom, I simply laugh at them. They think they are using a word to attack me, but I know that these people don't even have the foggiest clue to what the term means and even how it originated. They regenerate the same racial rhetoric they hear other progressives use again conservatives or republicans who are black. They are intellectual clowns. I love toying with them. A racist to a progressive is anyone who disagrees with them. When black Democrats are pointed to the racist past of the Democrat party, they have to say that the parties "switched" in order to try and talk around it. When blacks try to debate me on the GOP as being the party of racism, I just think, I dealing with another "one of them" again. In their mindset, R stands for Racism. It was their ignorance that helped me challenge whether the stigma attached to the GOP was truly warranted or not. I can ask blacks who are the most die hard loyal Democrats how the Democratic party has helped them over the past 30 years, and they couldn't tell me. I could also ask those same Democrats what racist legislation has the Republican Party tried to put forth in the past 30 years, and they couldn't tell me also. It's all a "perception" that the Democratic Party is for diversity, tolerance and compassion while the GOP is evil, racists, greedy.

Obama doesn't like the private sector, yet it's the private sector which is the main job producers. The only way Obama can help illegal aliens form the West Indies or Africa is that he makes it so that they can go on government assistance. That problem is that eventually as more and more illegal pile onto dole along with citizens of this country, the system collapses due to to much weight. The free ride is going to come to and end faster then people actually expect "one way or the other".

beakerkin "Employers are shifting to part time workers if you can find a job. Many are cutting back and our hope is the business cycle will help."

The business cycle won't be able to help if all it will be creating is part time workers who can only get a maximum of 29 hours. It might help small business, because they are exempt if they have under 100 employees. If you factor in the changing dynamics of the employment market thanks to Obamacare, add in an already weak economy boarding going back into recession, 1 out of 2 college grades who can't even find jobs in their major of study, millions of workers who have been unemployed for more then 3 years, you are right beakerkin, it doesn't look good jobs wise from people of all colors but especially blacks, because many blacks do not have the educational nor skills to even compete against those who do and also can find a job.

CB-"R (Republican) stands for Racism"

If that's true in the progressives view of mind, then D (Democrat) stands for "diversity" and if we can read between the lines, it also stands for "division" and [[political]] "dogma".

CB-"I've had many progressives both black and white call me an Uncle Tom, I simply laugh at them. They think they are using a word to attack me, but I know that these people don't even have the foggiest clue to what the term means and even how it originated."

Whenever I hear blacks referring to other blacks as "Uncle Toms", one of the first things I asked them if they ever personally read the book "Uncle Tom's Cabin" by Harriet Beecher Stowe. The only response I get that they know what the book was about. I know that they have not read the book and I asked them if they can describe an excerpt from the book. "Read the Book", they tell me. Even if they do decide to tell me, one example was that Tom inherited and owned slaves himself. Uh, that's not what happened in the book.

The economy is so bad people really are self deporting. Even Chinese restaurants are having a bad time.

I didn't want to say the obvious but you are 100% correct in that the Obama policies will hurt native born blacks disproportionately. Student debt loans are a future ticking time bomb.

Unfortunately, I think you are correct about the business cycle.

There is some tragedy in that the very people who placed their hopes
and dreams in Obama will be hurt the most by his policies.

Wait a minute.... What happened to;

"There are people who are in legitimate need of help, and that's acceptable, but there are people who make up the Obama 47% who are lifetime parasites of the system and have a vested interest in making sure the status quo doesn't change." Huh?

what happened to;

""The people who are dependent upon government and are entrenched in it will always see Romney as a threat to their entitlements being taken away and will always vote for Obama".

What happened to the "Food Stamps, Welfare Queens, Government hand-out, moochers, parasites, etc...? Yet suddenly, for the sake of an attack styled talking point, President Obama's supporters are being said to have received nothing for their votes? My god man, make up your mind!!!!

I don't understand your conservative cohorts Tyrone. First they're hell bent on selling the idea that Blacks and the "47%" were giving their votes as thanks for, and to continue getting "free stuff." Now conservatives are saying Democrats give their voters nothing?? I repeat...make up your mind!!

I mean really, who are you trying to convince? Yourself, or the people who you claim won't vote for Republicans anyway! And what are you truly trying to convince Democrat voters of, when your only message to them is, "you're a bunch of dependent mooching, parasites who don't get what you're asking for. Yet at the same time you accuse Democrats of getting far to much from the Democrats.... They've got you talking out both sides of your mouth Tyrone. You're just not making any sense.

Are most blacks in legitimate need of help allen? If so wny? If after decades of loyality, they are still in need, obviously blacks are being taken for granted? This is 2012, and idiots like Sharpton and Jealous are just now talking about "leveraging their loyalty"? lol. So what was the last 30 to 40 year, a test trial? As for the 47%,nobody said that all blacks or most blacks make the 47%, Romney never said it, and I never said it. So what's your angle allen?

p allen quoting me"The people who are dependent upon government and are entrenched in it will always see Romney as a threat to their entitlements being taken away and will always vote for Obama"."

Ah, what part of that I said isn't true? Federal workers voted for Obama out of job self preservation. You don't think people at PBS didn't vote for Obama knowing that Romney would cut funding to them if elected? Those who are entrenched on the government dole voted for Obama.

p allen "What happened to the "Food Stamps, Welfare Queens, Government hand-out, moochers, parasites, etc...? Yet suddenly, for the sake of an attack styled talking point, President Obama's supporters are being said to have received nothing for their votes? My god man, make up your mind!!!!"

Make up your mind allen, you are the one who said I left out blacks when I talked about the GOP and Hispanics. If the GOP sees all blacks as the 47%, why would they need to outreach to them, think. If a person is government mooch, then they have received their goodies from Obama. The question is what have blacks who are productive members of society have received from Obama for their support, maybe that will clear things up a bit. Those who have good paying jobs or own small businesses are clearly not apart of the 47%, what what do they get?

p allen "I mean really, who are you trying to convince? Yourself, or the people who you claim won't vote for Republicans anyway!"

My claim is accurate based on history. Look at the historic voting trends of blacks. So you might want to put the word factual in front of the word claim allen, thank you. Also, you need to read more into what I said. I was mocking certain blacks for only caring about the black unemployment rate when a white republican is president. You ignored that part, and I don't blame you.

p allen "And what are you truly trying to convince Democrat voters of, when your only message to them is, "you're a bunch of dependent mooching, parasites who don't get what you're asking for."

I'm done trying to convince Democratic voters of anything. Most Democratic voters are intellectually brain dead at best, progressive ones I mean. Moochers, Parasites, Degenerates are all going to look out for what is in "their best interest". It's common sense.

Again, it's your perception. Pay attention allen. Those who are productive members of society and are blacks have gotten nothing from the Democratic Party. Those who are getting "gifts" from the government like section 8, food stamps, WIC and other entitlements those are the ones I was referring to allen.

Case in point allen. Don't doubt what I say. This is an example of what your side was putting out against Romney Entitlement cuts is how Romney will grow defense spending Romney was going to be the big bad rich Grinch was going to cut granny's medicare and social security. You all are the ones who make the Democratic Party appear to be the party of entitlements and growing entitlements allen.

LOL!!! It's to easy getting you to expose your extreme right-wing indoctrination.

Other entitlements include;
-Medicare
-Social Security
-Veterans Benefits
-Pensions
-Education
-Tax credits for children, home owners, business, hiring employees.

Just to name a few... So when you're talking about "blacks" per se', then you can see why 90% + vote Democrat. Mind you, blacks, and other minorities, are not the only Americans who are recipients of at least one of these "entitlements." In fact, in plain numbers, more whites depend on government entitlements than all minorities combined.

Your right-wing extremist buddies have indoctrinated you to believe that "poor people" are the cause of the governments budget problems. Some rich fat cats have decided it's time to just "cut to the chase." These CEO's collect huge paychecks from government contracts and tax breaks. So instead of hiding behind right-wing talking points, and "Romney-esque I really, really care about you" style cover my ass lies, they just flat out call for government to give them theirs, and screw the poor!

Why is it so hard for an American who makes less than $250k a year to understand President Obama's proposed tax hike (removing the Bush tax cuts) will only effect each dollar made after 250k? Many Americans don't even know that during the 1950's and early 60' the top American tax rate was 90%. Yet extreme right-wingers are still able to convince people who make less than 250k that President Obama's proposal will make taxes higher than they have ever been. Why do people who make less than 250k allow multi-millionaire TV, radio and print writer personalities tell them; "you make to much money on your union job" and "your grandparent's medicare and social security is causing the national debt." I just don't get it....
