The CEO of Caterpillar embarasses Mr. Obama on his porkulus bill.
This is the perfect example why Obama should have attended the Harvard School of Business instead of the Harvard School of Law. It's great when he proves me right about how ignorant he truly is when it comes to the economy. I knew from the very beginning his trojan stimulus bill wasn't going to do squat to create jobs in the private sector. People that actually support this sevrely flawed bill don't realize that most of the "shovel ready" projects Obama talks about won't begin until 2011 at the earliest. In the meantime, companies will continue to lay of workers by the thousands and tens of thousands. The CEO of the construction equipment maker Caterpillar even admitted this in a news conference when Obama visted his plant to use as a photo op.
While Obama was standing in front of the podium speaking forcefully about a bill he says will create jobs for Caterpillar as soon as it's passed, the CEO had to expose Obama as an absolute clueless idiot that knows nothing about the private sector. I guess Obama was under the impression that Caterpillar's operations are mainly concentrated in the United States. If he thought that, he would have thought wrong. Caterpillar has operations around the globe. Since the top economies in the worlds are currently experiencing recessions, construction spending has slowed globally as well. Caterpillar has to "continuously shed jobs to compensate for the GLOBAL downturn in construction projects. Of course the media isn't going to show how "the brilliant one" was made to look like a totally naive fool. Oh I forgot, we are all suppose to believe that Obama is the brilliant one and Palin is the dunce right?

This is pressuring the vote using voters who lost jobs. He is pressuring congressmen who only spend our money.
The man has no shame.
Amazing how the media never point out how wrong our POTUS is.
Another lie is when he says everyone agrees that the government should spend this money. No they don't agree. It just never gets reported.

It actually goes WAY WAY WAY beyond that jarnc. Obama was actually trying say what a company is going to do without even knowing the condition of that company. Either Obama is extremely arrogant or extremely stupid and clueless. Only the CEO knows whether or not he will be hiring people. I really do feel sorry for the hapless people that believe in this guy. It's hard to actually be made at them, because they are victims of the own ignorance jarnc.

It's pretty easy for Obama to lie danhat. He knows the media is going to cover for him. Weak minds are the easiest to fall pray to a master liar like Obama. Obama left out that only 35% of the public supports his bill. If the American people truly supported this pork special interest bill, he wouldn' have had to have a prime time stagged news conference and go to florida for a cult worshiping photo op. Maybe Obama is a pathological liar. I bet you danhat, Obama could have never defended his pork bill in a debate against a person like Walter E Williams or Mitt Romney, Obama would have been made to look worse of a fool then he did the other day.

You might want to try and keep up with current events Henius. Michael Steele is the Chairman of the RNC. Rush Limbaugh is a radio talk show commentator. I know liberals have a hard time understanding definitions to extremely simplistic terms, but please try in this case henius. As for why I call the bill a "porkulus", it wasn't because of Limbaugh at all. The bill is NOT a stimulus bill. Silly me, I've actually read the bill and know what is in it. Did you read it Henius? The vast majority of the bill is pork and special interest pay back legislation. I've also called the bill a "trojan horse bill as well. Using the Rush Limbaugh boiler plate attack is very weak. I can almost respect you if you could actually come out and defend Obama's bill as a true stimulus bill. I've noticed you couldn't do that Henius. I've also noticed that nobody else including Obama himself couldn't defend the bill on it's merits. Go figure on that one.

I see Obama repeating the same mistakes as Carter did and it will make it that much easier for a true conservative to take him out in 2012 just like Reagan destroyed Carter in 1980. It seems like you have a thing for Limbaugh like Mathews has a thing for Obama. I will explain it one more time for you since you seem to be a slow learner. The bill is being advertised as a "stimulus" bill, yet the bill isn't a stimulus bill based on what is actually in it. So since the bill isn't truly a stimulus bill, then it is a pork bill instead. I will help you out since you're stuck on the title given to the bill. Let's call it a "junk bill". Funny how you want to quote a congress person, yet you couldn't quote anything about the bill that actually makes it a stimulus bill heniu. Why is that?

The grown ups? Put down the glass of Obama koolaid and come back to reality. Don't you get it. When Obama inks that bill, he and the Democrats will have over a trillion dollars of debt on their watch. The Republicans are far from being the "whig party". You still haven't figured it out. Once this bill becomes law, the damage is done. I've already went into great detail what happens when a country takes on too much debt. The children that control congress have nobody to point the finger at win this bill does what many economist predict will happen. No Bush or Republicans to blame except 3. This is a Demcorat Bill, and it will be a Democrat failure going into 2010. Rationality and Arrogance don't mix.:-)
Republicans from 1980 to 2008 have controlled the white house for 20 out of 28 years. Republicans lost control of congress because of them acting like liberal democrats. Obama is the rising star that has matured. Democrats don't have any rising stars on the horizon. Obama is it. Democrats don't have Bush as a focal point in which to rally support and voters against. No more Cheney no more Rove. What got democrats in power is no longer around to keep them there. Have a nice day :-0
