This has been a great day. I can't say the same for the people in Chicago nor the "Chicago Dream Team" of Barack and Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.
The Obama faithful thought that it was in the bag for Chicago to host the 2016 Olympic games. Jesse Jackasson called Barack, Michelle and Oprah the "Dream Team". I guess that greatly hyped team was day dreaming, when they gave their self absorbed reasons for why Chicago should host the 2016 games. Normally I don't' take comfort in other people's disappointment, but how can I not in this case? I don't feel bad that Barack Obama embarrassed himself on the world stage. He brought it on himself in the first place. The role of promoting Chicago's bid was suppose to have been the job of the Governor of Illinois and the Mayor of Chicago. Barack set himself up for failure, and the rest is history. The immediate reaction by the media was priceless, when they heard Chicago was eliminated in the first round. Note to CNN's Tony Harris, Chicago is still out!! um, um um.

I am so glad this happened. It's a "teachable moment" for Jesse Jackson and his "Dream Team". The lesson for Jesse - It's time to go away and live the rest of your life in obscurity. The lesson for the "Um Um Um" team - go back to the White House and try to learn as much as you can about actually running this country so that you minimize the damage you will do over the next three years. The lesson for Oprah - Just because you say it doesn't make it so.

Part me is thinking the reason why Obama is being so wishy washy on Afghanistan is because he is trying not to come off heavy handed against the Tallahban.

It is only natural Obama got rejected. Obama claimed that he was merely a "citizen of the world". So no wonder they didn't take Obama's pitch seriously. Why would the Olympic Committee just listen to a common citizen?

Tyrone I agree. He doesnt want muslims killed so he is taking his time. There is no way I allowed my son to stay in the service. he went to Iraq and Afghanistan, and he saw all of the hatred toward Africans and blacks. The arabs are alughing at AMERICA and all African slaves who thought obama would free them. Taliban knows what he is doing. A few drones is what he needs.
