CNN reporter Don Lemon the plays race card against Herman Cain in Iowa.

Do you all remember when a CNN reporter asked then candidate Barack Obama back in 2008 before the Iowa Ames Poll could Obama win the Democratic Nomination in a mostly white party in a mostly white state? If you are having a hard time remembering such an exchange, it's a good reason why you don't remember it. It never happened. Progressives in the media would never under any circumstances use the race card against a fellow progressive in regards to the Democratic election. Since Herman Cain is a conservative Republican running for the GOP nomination, CNN has no problem using the race card against Cain, the GOP, and the state of Iowa. Here's CNN "reporter" Don Lemon asking stupid questions to Herman Cain about whether "he can win in a mostly white party in a mostly white state".

Contrary to what progressives and other Democrats would have people to believe. The Democratic Party is a MOSTLY WHITE PARTY due to the fact that blacks in United States only make up 13% of the entire population. Even though most blacks are affiliated with the Democratic Party, they are nowhere near being the "racial majority" of the party. That simple facts seems to elude them for some reason. Mr. Lemon should have used his brain before asking Herman Cain those questions. If he did, he would have realized that Barack Obama as a "black" person beat out a Democratic field of candidates who were all white, in the state of Iowa. This was clearly an attempt by Mr. Lemon to try and paint the Republican Party and the Republican Iowans as being racists who would never vote for a black person for the GOP nomination. Here's an interview from yesterday of radio talk show host Michael Savage interviewing Herman Cain. It was a good interview. Maybe Don Lemon could learn a few pointers on how to do his job the right way.

Herman Cain knows what they try to do. Blacks are Democratic, thus supporting the KKK and the Nazis who promoted slavery. Why are Blacks so naive and so easily branded as fools for just going along! Republicans are the ones who freed them and yet they support the party of slave owners.

I did a survey of 50 blacks and not one knew the Republicans, started in 1854 freed the slaves at the expense of 500,000 white people and 50,000 blacks. Most blacks see Herman Cain as a sellout
while at the same time supporting the Democratics who supported slavery. Ignorance is genocide.

Yep! The KKK began as Democrats politically. Just as Ronald Reagan began as a Democrat politically! But like Reagan, the KKK switched their political affiliation.

And that proves what Reagan is a bad man or a confused fake? The KKK, however are just plain bad and it does not matter who they support.

You know, Democrats were a slightly different breed back then and not the progressive types we have today. Something happened in the 60s which changed all that. The actress Myrna Loy was a democrat but i swear she thought with very conservative ideas. Ever heard of the term conservative democrat? I tend to think JFK was one of them as well. He hated communism and as you should know the step up from Socialism is Communism.

anon "Herman Cain knows what they try to do. Blacks are Democratic, thus supporting the KKK and the Nazis who promoted slavery."

The vast majority of blacks don't have the foggiest clue that the KKK was founded by six Democrats in Pulaski Tennessee in 1865. The democratic agenda back then wasn't good for blacks and today's democratic agenda is no better. The only difference is that today's democratic party is selling a toxic agenda to blacks under the banner of economic equality through social programs which is just simple government sponsored dependency.

lol, you could have done a survey of 500 blacks, andy would have still came up with the same responses. Progressives especially white ones can't stand me, because they know I see through their bs like no other black person they've ever encountered. I had several white liberals ask me if I was "trying to be white", because they found out that I am a conservative. I just looked them in their eyes and said "are you trying to be black" by being liberals? They gave me a look of being pissed off and complexed at the same time. lol I guarantee no other black conservative had ever given them a response like that. The democratic party has a large percentage of blacks due to the ignorance of blacks believing that some how it's their obligation from birth to belong to the party.
I've heard progressives try and tear down Herman Cain by watering down his accomplishments. The man still has a resume that outshines Obama's by miles. They can call him a sellout all they like. Just by Herman Cain being himself, he is proving that he isn't a sellout but a liberated, free thinking black man.

Wait a second allen. I was a democrat as well at one time, why wasn't I apart of the KKK? I mean I switched parties just like Ronald Reagan. So what's the deal? Did my black robe and hood get lost in the mail or what?

To P. Anthony Allen: Can you name at least one, or maybe another conservative, Republican who has ties to any white supremacy groups?

They typical response for a progressive to say that Strom Thurmond switched and became a republican, as usual they leave out the important fact that Strom was no longer racist, when he left the Democratic Party. That didn't stop them from giving him the racist tag as a republican eventhough he wasn't racist as one. Allen more then likely will say David Duke. David Duke never gained any political traction within the Republican Party. He was never elected to congress, and he only had support in three states when he ran for the Democratic Nomination for president.

The one question I love asking (which I got from Bob Parks) is if the Democrats aren't the Democrats of old, why do they continue to lie about their past? Not one single liberal I approach is able to give me a concise, clear answer. Not to mention Democratic run cities and states are some of if not the worst in crime rates, poverty, and educational deficiency.

It was "sarcasm" anon, "sarcasm"...

Anon:"You know, Democrats were a slightly different breed back then and not the progressive types we have today".

Quite refreshing to see that someone around here knows the truth.

Republicans, particularly conservative Republicans spew the contrived talking point, that "it was the Democrats who promoted slavery, segregation, Jim Crow laws, etc..." Although true, the line is not being used to simply express the historic fact. Instead the line is used to spark contempt, such as shown with this comment;

"while at the same time supporting the Democratics who supported slavery. Ignorance is genocide".
-Anonymous-

True, the Democrats until the 60's were the party of racist. Had blacks supported the Democrats at that time, particularly in the south, it would have been suicide. However, that line only tells half the story. It excludes the most critical part of the story, which is those Democrats were "politically Conservative."

I've often heard conservatives say that they are "conservative first", and that "Republican" is merely a party label. Tyrone even removed the term "Republican" from his moniker in favor of the "conservative" label.

So, I'd like to rewrite the statement. The new statement will also be based on "historic fact." From here on the Republicans can frame the talking point as;

Liberal whites are the ones who freed slaves. It was "conservative whites" who promoted slavery!.

You can even remove the reference to them being "white." The statement still rings true!

One!

CB;"Allen more then likely will say David Duke. David Duke never gained any political traction within the Republican Party --- support in three states when he ran for the Democratic Nomination for president".

Two!

BTW, Duke was also a candidate in the Republican presidential primaries in 1992. His only election win (Louisiana State Representative) was as a Republican...

Former Congressman Bob Barr of Georgia. Keynote speaker at CofCC event.

Three!

Former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott. Keynote speaker at CofCC event.

Four!

I've outlined on this blog many times about the direct ties the Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC)has with many Tea Party groups.

Five!

Arizona Republican Senator Russell Pierce smiling picture with a Neo-Nazi.

Six! That should be enough (more upon request)

On a different note, how about Marilyn Davenport, Southern California Tea Party activist and member of the central committee of the Orange County Republican Party who circulated pictures of President Obama and his parents as monkeys?

Most Republicans now know to avoid racist and racist groups like the would avoid the plague. Prominent conservative commentator/pundit Sean Hannity even lied about knowing, and his association with racist Hal Turner.

Herman Cain talked about on his radio show that all the black callers he received had called him a whole bunch of names that he had to make a list that is about a mile long.

Each response to these callers were, "I don't care!"

Also, in some responses, he would tell these liberal, black callers that it is a shame that they have some people, like the NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and all the poverty pimps and the vermin in the media to speak for them.

It would have been funny if the Herminator would have turned the tables on Lemon and asked if Don thought he could make it on a news channel controlled and owned by whites and being veiwed by a mostly white audience.

I have supported Herman since I heard him announce on his radio program. He inspires me when he speaks...almost like Reagan. I was also very impressed by his humility when callers to his radio program said that he has been in their prayers after he was diagnosed with cancer and how he remained in their prayers once he decided to run for president.

Please give me Cain, Palin, Bachman or anyone in favor of smaller government. I'm surprised I support conservative women and conservative blacks because I live 60 miles from Pulaski, TN and I am a conservative white man (now, THAT'S sarcasm). :)

Is p allen aware that Grand Wizard Robert Byrd (D-WV) has a lifetime rating of barely 30 from the American Conservative Union?

Is p allen aware that KKK members still to this day run for office as democrats?

I doubt p allen could tell us what the Southern Manifesto was if there was a fresh cookie in it for him ;-)

Like Strom Thurman and Robert Byrd, I'd guess John Paul Rogers just got up one day and said "I ain't a racist no more!"

JD;"I doubt p allen could tell us what the Southern Manifesto was if there was a fresh cookie in it for him".

Funny you should ask. The idea for a Southern manifesto was conceived by Strom Thurmond.

I'll take a white chocolate, macadamia nut. And make sure it's "fresh!!!" Nobody likes a stale cookie...

Now allow me to show how "conservative misinformation duping" works...

The article references the Southern Manifesto, but begins with a rather large picture image of President Obama standing behind Senator Robert Byrd. Without a doing web search, would you say that Robert Byrd signed the Southern Manifesto?

"Gov. George Wallace, who stood in the schoolhouse door to keep out African-Americans, was a Democrat. Gov. Orval Faubus, who tried to prevent court-ordered desegregation of Little Rock public schools, was a Democrat. Bull Connor, whose police attacked African-Americans schoolchildren with dogs and high-pressure hoses, was the Democratic".
-Michael Zak, from Andrew Breitbarts "Big Government"-

As typical, with a stylishly contrived bent, the writer emphasizes the one fact that these racist pigs were Democrats. Yet, it bowls me over every time I hear a "conservative" say; "I'm a conservative first and foremost, and not necessarily a political party person."

In 1948 Southern Democrats split from the national party because they were "racist first." They too were "values" driven. They had an agenda and they were willing to put the party down to uphold their "ideological values," their "CONSERVATIVE VALUES."

What Mr. Zak doesn't tell you (purposely) is that Orval Faubus, Bull Connors, George Wallace, etc..., were politically CONSERVATIVES! In standing on their principles Wallace, Connors and Faubus were "Democrats in name only." First and foremost they were racist...racist and politically CONSERVATIVE!

Yet, the modern conservative "uses" the line; "Democrats enslaved and racially segregated you black people, you shouldn't vote for them." That line is loaded with "mis and missing" information and, is just half of the truth. The conservatives who uses that line, counts on the black person who listens "not" to check out all of the facts. That's where I've learned that a half truth, is really a whole lie.

The people who enslaved and racially segregated blacks were evil and wicked. It doesn't matter if they were Democrats, Republicans, Plutocrats, Oligarchs or Feudal Lords, they were racist bastards.

This is true. At the end of the day we have to all agree with this. One of the first steps to freedom is less governing in our lives. If you enslave the people you can use any means toward any ethnic group. Something that any totalitarian reign will take away, that goes for Communism, Socialism, Fascism and so on.

....And to add to p.a.a.'s theme, when Bill Clinton says of Obama, "a few years ago this guy would have been getting us coffee.", and when Harry Reid praises Obama as a "light-skinned" African-American who lacked a "Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.", and when Wolf Blitzer says of the Katrina survivors, "...many of these people, almost all of them that we see are so poor and they are so black..." all of these normally liberal people are being very conservative when they said these things.
Jesse Jackson also has a conservative streak when he called New York "hymietown" in 1984.

I have to agree in part with PA Allen that conservatives are being disingenuous about historical associations with racism. I recall an article by C. Krauthammer discussing the issue and saying that it was Wm. Buckley in the 1950's who helped expunge racism from the conservative movement; obviously, it this was the case there was something to expunge.

That said, it is perfectly clear that today racialistic thinking is pretty much the preserve of the Left. In addition to the obscenity of their attacks on decent and substantial people like Herman Cain, it is important to keep in mind how downright bizarre these attacks are. These people have really lost it.

In this connection it is worth recalling a keen insight of Thos. Sowell - that liberals treat minorities as mascots. There are implications to this: that minorities are not held to adult standards in their behavior, and that, conversely, minorities are not expected to act like substantial citizens. When they do, they seem to pose a threat - which may account for the extreme and unbalanced character of reactions from leftwing commentators.

racist will continue for ever as long as blacks stay democrat. To me they are the most ignorant race in the world to believe in the party that hung their relatives and kept them slaves until the republicans including Abraham Lincoln freed their stupid asses. How could any of them be so dumb. Is it the give away programs that the democrats give them for free? can they not see or understand this? Do they realize that even a senator of the democratic party" Byrd" was a kkk grand marshal. WHY WHY WHY??????
