Jon Stewart rips on Spike Lee for "Doing The Wrong Thing".
I've been verbally attacked over the last few days over my thoughts on TMM (Trayvon Martin Mania), but I take it in stride. People have gotten so emotional of their support for Trayvon Martin, they are either tuning out or attacking anyone who doesn't share their views. There are three subject that I know of that can make people act irrational with anger.
1. Politics
2. Race
3. Religion
Right now we are clearly on number two. When people think irrational, they will act irrational, and normally positive outcomes don't come from it. Take Spike Lee for instance. Spike Lee is known for his black racial activism as well as being a film director. One of his most noted films is entitled "Do The Right Thing". Well Spike did the wrong thing last week by re-tweeting what he believed was the address of George Zimmerman. That was wrong of him to do, but what made his actions even worse was that "he re-tweeted the WRONG ADDRESS". Spike did what he did knowing that people who follows his tweets may act on what he said and try to do something against Zimmerman. Well, "no good deed goes unpunished" I guess. The address Spike re-tweeted by accident was that of an elderly couple who had nothing to do with or even knew of George Zimmerman. This was a case by Spike Lee of "ready, fire, oops". Since the tweet mishap, Elaine and David McClain have had it ruff thanks to all the crazies threatening them.
Spike and the McClain's have reached a settlement. I'm not sure how the McClain's can get their lives back on track knowing that if they stay at their current home, they will always have to look over their shoulders or cringe every time the phone rings not knowing if it is some Spike Lee/ Martin crazy who still doesn't know that their house isn't that of George Zimmerman's. Anyways, with the settlement, you would think that would be the end of the "Do The Wrong Thing" chapter right? No. Jon Stewart added to it, and I have to give him credit. Jon is a flaming progressive, but he did the right thing in ripping on Spike Lee for what he did.
Stoking the embers of the hate filled hordes to either go the right address or the wrong address is just not cool. It's wishful thinking I know, but maybe others will learn from Spike Lee and try "thinking first then re acting second".

Spike Lee is nothing more than a race-baiting hustler like Sharpton and Jackson.
What he did was malicious harassment and he should be charged of it. Posting someone's address so a lynch mob can go after them is criminal itself. Let's see how he likes it that people who are not his fans come to his address and make threats toward him. Not that I am encouraging it, but what he did was wrong. I don't care if it is the right or wrong address.
What he did was just as bad when the New Black Panther Party put out a bounty on George Zimmerman.
If I were the couple, I would press charges toward Lee. I cannot believe that the couple and their lawyer were making excuses for him.
Apparently, Lee has settled with the couple. Still, that doesn't undo his original intent.
If what Spike Lee did by tweeting George Zimmerman's "address" was bad enough and dangerous, ABC News has outed out the witness to the Trayvon Martin shooting as 13-year-old Austin Brown, which by the way could endanger the minor.
Yet more....
The Orlando Sentinal has hired two voice experts to analyze the voice heard screaming for help on the 911 call placed the night Trayvon Martin was killed. Both experts have concluded with "reasonable scientific certainty" that the voice heard screaming "could not have been that of George Zimmerman."
It's now the conservatives move. How long will it take before a conservative outlet hire's their own voice experts to refute the Orlando Sentinels findings? One way to attack this evidence is to claim the voice experts are unqualified morons. Secondly, it can be spun as "inconclusive" or, even "prejudicial." Conservative must move quickly to "shoot down" this evidence and regain the narrative. Even better, attack the newspaper as a "liberal rag."(end snark...)
This new evidence now brings up more questions. In the filed police report, Officer Timothy Smith states he overheard Zimmerman say that he was yelling for help. Thus, with 2 audio experts concluding that its not Zimmerman's voice, apparently, either Zimmerman was lying, or Officer Smith fabricated his police report. The plot thickens....
Imagine if Ted Nugent or some other rightwing bugaboo of the left had tweeted the address of a black family.
Reaction would be much different.

As usual you are reading what you want to, not whats actually implied. Thats probably to be expected, since you likely as not went to some 'guhvmint' school.
What the one expert said was that to a 48% probability the voice was Zimmermans, and that he would EXPECT a 90% to consider it positive.
I'll translate for you since you can't seem to read and comprehend very well.
What he's saying is - and allow me some aritistic license and paraphrasing here - The voice heard COULD BE Georges, but he's not sure. I mean, its a 911 tape of a guy yelling from dozens of yards away, so he couldn't swear to it and there's some unknowns here....Such as (Keep reading)
Also realise that they do not have a sampling of Trayvons voice to compare it to. We know that because if they HAD then thats what the article would be about. They wouldn't need Zimmermans to match, they would simply have to match Trayvons to a scientific certainty. Bit lets get all black helicoptery here....

Quick, spot analysis of a voice from a 911 tape is tough, especially as the sound quality was not so good. If it can ever be determined to within the courts level of reasonable doubt, it'll likely as not take months of painstaking analysis.
But keep trying Al. I know you're working with the best the lib media can throw you ammo wise, but surely you can do better than that ? I mean damn...it took me about 45 seconds to read and blast holes thru your 'analysis'

There's voice analysis and other experts out there who swear up and down that Paul McCartney is dead and was replaced by an imposter back in 1966, and they can prove it !

P. Anthony Allen, your blowing smoke up the like what Representative West said that time, you broadbrush Conservatives, but I think a lot of this is resistance against lawlessness, the Democratic Lynch mob, in the end, this is just the same old Democrat party whose military wing was the KKK just like Ann Coulter said. That said, I think it should go to trial, this is the most electrifying story in a way or I've gotten sucked into it, yes, this is about the state. Maybe the state ruled right, I don't think so but if Florida bows to public pressure and arrests Zimmerman and it goes to trial, does anyone think a verdict of innocence would ever be accepted as well?? Not that I'd be for that, I am for the rule of law. I don't pussyfoot around, I think Zimmerman for all I know about this and I've read everything should be arrested and I would accept the verdict of a trial. I really feel for the poor kid. Florida too though has a pretty high crime rate and that area from what I understand had an especially high crime rate but that doesn't justify a vigilante. A reader.
P.S. Those cable networks often make a big story of when a woman goes missing or found dead, some say this is similar. There is also the case out in California of Kendrick McDade I believe, sad, and Dante Price in Ohio. 2 cases that can call to mind this one and both in the last month. Maybe an offshoot of this will be to finally start bringing the crime rate down too.

If the do already have a recording of Trayvons voice and are hiding the results, they're guilty of manipulating public opinion. Here's an interview with Ed Primeau. From what he says, he's trying to remain objective, and he told the reporter he needed a smaple of Trayvons voice to see if it matched the scream on the tape. At least know the "truth" before you lie....

Blast holes?? Like you "blast holes" in what Ed Primeau's actual statement, which he didn't make? It took me less than 10 seconds to read and debunk your lie!
The only "analysis" I gave was my "opinion", and that is;

Furthermore, with both the Zimmerman's and the Martins claiming that it was their loved one's voice on the tape, eventually an audio expert will have to make a determination, if not in court, for the people involved sake.

Ann coulter is talking about a democrat party that was all white at the time. Black people were republicans. Nobody has been lynched over this case. Republicans keep saying things are going to get violent but for the last month all we have seen is peaceful protests. I want zimmerman to face a jury of his peers. Thats what the protesters want. Gerald, George Zimmerman isn't a republican genius. He's a registered Democrat. Why hasn't the media made reference to that FACT? You've and the racial mob has branded George Zimmerman as a racist white guy, so why not complete the picture and insert the word DEMOCRAT at the end. Then the narrative can be completed. My point about the voice analysis story is this...Its not infallible. If you have it saying one thing (pardon the pun) and eyewitnesses saying the EXACT opposite, who do you believe? I'll take the entirety of the evidence, if you please.
I'll also point out that while the source material was pointed out as being good, the value of WHAT was recorded was/is just as important. I know this because I watch CSI alot.. and partially because of my work with the NIS back in the day (The CSI part may be more relevant tho'). For you allen, it means this.
If you have a digital recording of crap (i.e. the phones location has walls/rain/etc... intefering), you can testify that yes the recording is excellently sourced. But its still crap its recording. This is a good example of a paid specialist applying lipstick to the pig. He won't/can't tell you who it might be. Hell, it could be Santa or one of the reindeer or maybe it was Zimmerman. He just knows the software says its not 'him' to a 48% probability.
On a side note...
If this guys THE authority on these things, why would he do this before any completed investigation and potential court case? He has removed himself from being a potential expert called to testify. The cynic in me says he heard the tapes, knew it was marginal at best but hey, if the Orlando papers wanna send him a few thousand bucks for his opinion...Check will be fine, thank you.
My personal feeling in this matter is that Zimmerman will be arrested, but it'll have more to do with the public hysteria than evidence. I also believe that the preponderance of the evidence AND the application of the SYG statute will result in a not guilty or eventual dropping of the charges.
If Zimmy has any real future problems, it'll be in the civil courts where lunacy and personal injury lawyers run amok. The other thing he'll be doing, regardless of guilt or innocence, is spending the rest of his life looking over his shoulder.
I would not trade places with him for ANY amount of money, and that speaks volumes to the state of our society IMO.

I'm not an audio expert, and don't claim to be. What I do know is that no science is exact. As human beings we are all fallible. However in the case of making a claim about any science that I'm no privy to, I'll leave it to the experts. That means that your assertions mean absolutely nothing to no one but YOU!

Public hysteria or public opinion should not be allowed to sway the scales of justice. Any case brought into court on the basis of hysteria or public opinion, would be a mockery of our entire justice system. I, like most people, believe that Zimmerman and the Martins should have their day in court due to the "KNOWN" circumstances. From what is "known" about the shooting, Stand-Your-Ground law, the authors of the legislation say it’s being misconstrued and shouldn’t protect the accused shooter of Trayvon Martin. I wonder if the guys who wrote the law could be considered "experts?" Hmmmm?
I don't support the "Stand Your Ground" law. I believe that under this law, many more Trayvon Martins will occur. All it takes are idiots like you who believe that;
an unarmed dead boys family who believes that they hear their sons voice screaming for help after the shooter admits he followed him and shot him, and the dead boys girlfriend tells the parents that their son told her he was being followed and was scared so he ran, and that the family doesn't deserve a chance to challenge the shooters story in court because the shooter's story differs, which allowed him to be set free under a law that allows him to kill and not have the shooting investigated wheeeeewww....
Sorry anon, common sense tell me that the Sanford Police and the District attorney made the wrong call by no arresting Zimmerman, and at the very least should have charged him with unlawful use of a firearm.
