A Tourist is savagely beaten, robbed and stripped by a gang of teens in Baltimore.
I turned on WBAL radio Friday and the host was talking about a video which has gone viral on the internet. The video is of a white tourist who was beaten senseless in downtown Baltimore on Saint Patrick's day by a gang of black teenagers. The callers into the C4 show were very passionate and angered by this video. I've heard bits and pieces of this story over the last few days, but I didn't know what really happened until yesterday. Apparently the tourist was visiting Baltimore on Saint Patrick's day and decided to visit some of the bar establishments at Power Plant Live which is near the Inner Harbor. The man was going back to his hotel in Mount Vernon, when he stopped in front of the Clarence Mitchell Circuit Court House where a bunch of young people were gathered. This is the most graphic portion of the attack. The Baltimore City Police are currently looking at the video and are seeking arrests. One would assume that a viral video of a man getting beaten senseless, robbed and then stripped by a gang of teens would make national news right? Wrong, yet again the attackers are of the wrong race, and the victim is of the wrong race. It just doesn't fit the media's template. I hope the police find the animals who did this. Nobody regardless of race either white or black should ever act like this. If anyone is offended that I called these thugs animals, let me put it like this. Animals are known to attack in packs.

Very disturbing.Even more disturbing is the fact the story is being completely ignored by MSM.
The reason why the media swept this under the rug, like many cases of black on white crime, is they're trying to avoid a "race war".
I think most of white America of today are not going to incite a race war. I cannot recall the most recent white (criminals) on black (victims) crime that the media broadcast where blacks took to the street and assaulted any white person they come across. So, what's the media to worry about?
The video shows a very disturbing unwarranted gruesome attack. Since the perps have put a face with the crime, I'm sure an arrest will occur soon. You see Tyrone, in this case the perps (or animals as you call them) can't deny responsibility for their crime. If I were the sentencing judge, I'd give them jail time, and make them pay restitution.

Tulsa, Oklahoma officials are seeking a white man who they believe has shot five blacks, three of which have died.
Should we not pay attention to such a story due to the "perceived" racial tensions surrounding the Trayvon Martin case? Has Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson (the so-called race baiters) caused some white guy to go on the offense and start killing innocent blacks? Or, has a gang of stupid black teenagers who attacked and robbed a white guy caused whites to believe that their mere existence is in peril?
Tyrone, you and others here have floated an idea that what Jackson, Sharpton, the Martins and even the Black Panthers are doing, could somehow turn into a catalyst for a race war. I don't believe the ramblings of protest, and outcries of a "MINORITY" has ever caused that minority to mount a violent attack. At least not in this country.
The week after President Obama was elected gun sales soared in the U.S.. Some claim the increase was due to the fear of imposition of federal anti-gun laws. Some claimed guns and ammo would excessively taxed. I believe the real reason was "FEAR." Fear and bias of the first non-white president.
Thus, if you "TRULY" believe there could be a race war, I guarantee you it won't be started by blacks.

I thought that at one time also, but whites are learning about black on white attacks through the internet, blog posts youtube etc. I'm starting to hear about white on black attacks and I bet they are retaliation attacks due to the black on white attacks the media is covering up. I just read a story a few minutes ago about heavily armed Aryans skinheads that are now patrolling Sanford in the lead up to the Tuesday announcement of whether Zimmerman will be charged or not to keep the peace if riots break out.

Gun owners have along feared anti gun progressives infringing on their 2nd amendment rights. It makes no sense for gun owners to go out and buy guns simply because Obama isn't white. So that excuse doesn't hold water allen. Since Obama is known as a hardcore Marxist, it only makes sense that gun owners would stock up on guns knowing that a person who doesn't give a dam about the citizens rights to own guns is in the White House.

It is interesting to know that race is in the end just a mind set and nothing more. Humans are humans, skin color is irrelevant, nationality is irrelevant, and i tend to think if it was not for the welfare state and government ran schools that things like this might occur less. Believe it or not there are direct correlations to such things.

How many anti-gun laws has President Obama signed into law? I don't know of any. I know that he's poised to sign the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act, and he signed a bill allowing people to take loaded guns into national parks.
However, the largest and most sweeping anti-gun legislation was signed by Bill Clinton, included was the Federal Assault Weapons Ban and the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act. Those laws were put into effect during Clinton's first term, yet where was the same type of rush for guns during Clinton's two terms? Clinton was a "progressive." What's your excuse??

Other than the Civil Rights Movement Allen, when was the last time whites have incited a race war, or go out in bands and attack black people randomly?
Blacks, such as the New Black Panther Party I've seen made threats of riots and insurrection if they did not get their ways. Such example if Obama did not get elected as POTUS. And recently, if George Zimmerman is not charged, or acquitted of murdering of Trayvon Martin, they will riot.
The only black on white crime I remember that the media posted was the case of the Jena (Louisiana) 6, where a group of six black teenager attack a white teenager randomly, in response to the noose hanging prank that happened a couple of weeks prior. This white teen had nothing to do with the noose incident.
What surprised me was how the media and black leaders took the side of the Jena 6.
If this were to made the national news, would they defend these thugs and make excuses for them?

I have no idea what you mean by, "other than the Civil Rights Movement." Perhaps you mean, other than;
-other than- The mob of about 400 whites in Washington, D.C. in 1919, that stormed black neighborhoods attacking blacks on site.
-other than- In 1921 white destroyed a Black area known as Greenwood in Tulsa, Oklahoma, killing more that 300.

Rush Limbaugh had always been a "polarizing" figure when it come to race. His influence in American politics is well known. His immediate decree that "he hopes President Obama fails" became a clarion call for attacks of all kinds. The call for an newly elected president to fail is unprecedented for any American political pundit. In my opinion Limbaugh's call was solely based on the presidents race.

You left out one important fact Darkstar. The man didn't strike anyone, he was the one gang attacked. You can try and excuse the actions taken by the gang, but he didn't hit anyone whether he was drunk or not or what he did prior. OOPS. If he was drunk, what does that have to do with anything. Those that make it acceptable for a human being to be treated like that? If Obama was a man of character, he would have ordered that the head of the New Black Panthers be arrested for placing a bounty on the head of a citizen who hasn't been charged with a crime. The racial tensions did start the moment he won the nomination,because Obama and his supporters and the media created the tension. When they claimed that if anyone who is white and didn't vote for Obama, they were doing so because Obama is black. When Obama's AG dropped the voter intimidation charges against the New Black Panthers, that created racial tension. When Obama supporters tried to claim that anyone who used the word socialist in describing Obama's was doing so as a racist code word. White people can't fix us. We have to fix ourselves. That means our own economic, educational, political, social and spiritual base. We don't need the Democrat party, and we damn sure don't need the Republican party.
Blacks need to develop our own economic base. Stores, markets, businesses, and trade amongst ourselves. We need out own educational system to address the needs of our own system of commerce and governance. When need our own spiritual ideology to help mold our sense of self worth and worth of our people.
The ironic part of blacks having our own is...IT WAS ONCE THAT WAY, BEFORE INTEGRATION. Prior to the Civil Rights Movement, in cities all across the country, Black enclaves were basically self sufficient. My parents told me that during the 1930's and 40's Blacks of all walks of life (doctors, lawyers, teachers, and the average laborer) lived and worked in close proximity of each other. Black owned businesses lined the neighborhoods.
Here is a short story about the area know as "Black Bottom-Paradise Valley" in 1930 Detroit. Black area's such as this one had sprung up all over the country. I believe that if it were not for the concerted efforts of politicians and certain black leaders, area's such as Paradise Valley would still exist. Although not like the blighted area's we see of today. But as some of the premier economic, political, social, educational and spiritual accomplishments of Blacks in not just America, but the world.

I'm jumping in on this, because I personally know the area. The area where the man was attacked isn't a bad area of Baltimore. It's almost right in the center of the business district. My personal office was located a half a block down from where the attack happened. Many lawyers also have offices in that area because of it being a short walk to the Mitchell Court House. It's also no more then a three minute walk to the heart of the downtown business district.

I've been saying that for the longest time that blacks need to become entrepreneurs instead of letting progressives continue to poison their minds that they are some sort of life's victims. It is mental to believe that integration is the cause for the eroding of blacks in America. Blacks are still lawyers and doctors and engineers and millionaires and even one billionaire. No, this all comes down to personal choice in how blacks want to live and not wanting to take responsibility for their lives. African come to America and they tend to be more success then blacks who were born here. They succeed because they simply want a better life then the one they had in Africa and they are willing to work their asses off to get it. I respect their work ethic and drive to succeed.If only blacks could learn from them.

I'm not allen, White really don't suffer much at all living in Baltimore even though they make up 35% of the population. The overwhelming percentage of murders and assaults are happening with black attacking other blacks.

Once again allen, you are reading what you want to read even though I've never said nor implied it. Try rereading what I said as I said it instead. I wrote the story to once again highlight how the nation media is selective in the stories it covers and that was it. This attack was a fluke, because there is no way that Mayor Blake will let downtown or midtown get a reputation as being an unsafe area. That area is an economic driver for the city, so I know full well that that attack was the first and more then likely will be the last such incident in that area going forward.

I's not saying integration was "THE" cause. I'm saying integration is one of the factors. Tyrone, how old are your grandparents? If they're still with us, and are around the age of 70 or older, you should ask them about the pre-Civil Rights era. Do your own research on the Great Migration and Black entrepreneurial efforts of the 1920's, 30's and 40's.
In looking at how blacks began to take to free enterprise during that era, we find that socially, economically and educationally, blacks that took advantage of free enterprise did better. Those blacks who owned their owned businesses had the means to send their kids to college. Those college educated blacks would "more than often" return to the community, which in turn strengthened the community with their efforts and presence.
After the Civil Rights Movement, more and more college educated blacks began to abandon black communities for opportunities in white owned and operated businesses and corporations. Ironically, about the same time, liberal (that's right liberal) social programs began to invade black communities, basically taking the place of the entrepreneurial efforts that had preceded them.
Simply put, had we not "forced" the idea of "integration" on ourselves, our communities would be a lot different.

As these isolated incidents are seen through the race goggles it only adds fuel to the ever growing fire. As one side asks for the Trayvon case be seen not as a racial profiling case but as an unfortunate tragedy yet to be played out. The same must be true with these isolated incidents, unless those kids were yelling out honkey, cracker or other racial slurs then it most likely falls under crimes of opportunity. Some things are just as simple as that; a crime of opportunity.

Allen..We have had over 50 years to do that. In fact, "need to" shouldn't even be part of the equation. We should already have.
Guess what?..Since most of us seem to lack the drive, work ethic, discipline and willpower to once again have self sustaining businesses and communities, other groups are coming in and doing it for us. One thing I have noticed about other ethnic groups is that they WORK TOGETHER, even if they don't like each other.
Instead of Marion Barry making ignorant comments about Asian store owners in DC, he should put the fire under the behinds of the people in his own ward. Then again, that's asking a lot.
Until we as a people unify, change our thinking and ignore those among us who continue to play the victim, those prosperous and safe communities in the past will be nothing, but a fleeting dream. We will miss the boat.

Absolutely correct. But that's the essence of what I've said! We "need" to correct those faults. Black Americans, as a community and a people, do not work together.
The vast majority of black communities are in shambles. Violent crime, broken and dysfunctional family's, illegal drug traffic, little or no importance placed on education, and political corruption. The question is, why is it that way?
Conservative blacks claim that it's government and liberal policies that has caused the devastation. Liberal blacks tend to believe it's the "white man" that has caused the problem. Even though both sides have their arguments and beliefs, when asked, all blacks agree on one thing. That is, the only way to solve the problems is that we must come together and do for ourselves.
Even though we all know that unity is the answer, for some reason we can't or won't make an effort to do so. Thus, that takes us back to square one....
As long as we're divided, we'll stay divided. I know the statement is redundant and superfluous. Yet, it is what it is!
It 's pretty funny. Whenever I bemoan the state of the city of my birth, Oakland, Ca, and say that I used to be able to go anywhere, and I mean anywhere, in that city free from fear of violent assault, rape, robbery or murder, a Black person will pipe up with, "There's places I can't even go anymore." Maybe they mean they are in a gang and can't cross another gangs's territory, I dunno. It's kind of the equivalent of whites saying that police stopped them while driving so the police are not racist, yada yada.
