Obama is the first black and now "gay" president"?

When morality in America finally goes to hell at warp speed, I hope I am not around to see it happen nor live through it. These days I feel like I am living in an episode of the Simpson or South Park. The country has become one gigantic screwball sitcom. It's zany insanity being passed off as everyday life. Everyday a new absurdity is being passed off as the new enlightenment in morality America.  It's not far fetched to say that we are living in the 1+1=3 era in the United States. Oh well, speaking of the absurd. By now, everybody know that Obama has come out for the second time (for political reasons) in favor of "gay marriage", but did you all know that Barack Hussein Obama is actually America's first "gay president". Yep, Obama has made history again. Well he's made history as being the first gay president according to the half baked and hard boiled Andrew Sullivan over at Newsweek magazine. I didn't even know that Newsweek was still around. Anyways, I guess the official description of Obama should be the first "black and gay" president?

I know Andrew Sullivan worships the ground Obama walks on and everything, but I wonder could this overreach in jubilation to Obama's predictable flip on this issue might actually come back to harm Obama? While Romney continues to hammer Obama on the real issue which is the economy, the American people will take notice that Obama maybe be seen as a president that can deal with contraceptives and gay marriage but not jobs, the economy, the national debt and inflation.

You're kind of stupid, aren't you? I will never understand black people who oppose civil rights for everyone, but somehow, some of you (such as Clarence Thomas) seem to think that you are separate from every other oppressed group. Here's some news for you, buttercup: you're not. It's all part of the same thing. I guess now that you feel you've "made it," you want to draw the ladder up behind yourself and make yourself feel better by climbing on the backs of those who still don't have full civil rights under the law. Shame on you.

I wonder how these news magazines, or papers come up with these metaphors?

I remember when "The New Yorker" headlined that Bill Clinton was the first "black" president.

Really?

I thought Barack Obama was the first black president. But they never mention that he's only bi-racial.

So, if they're mentioning that Barack Obama is the first "openly gay president", is it because that he is opening up to the gay community?

I just don't understand is how most of the gay community is Democrat, when majority of Democrats oppose same-sex marriage, like Bill Clinton who signed the Defense of Marriage Act? Or how majority of any minority votes Democrat, when the Democratic party was opposed to equal rights throughout its history.

I wonder what the Log Cabin Republicans have to say about this?

Charles "You're kind of stupid, aren't you? "

Have you ever known for a person to ever say that he or she believes they are stupid? Alrighty then,Moving on.

Charles"I will never understand black people who oppose civil rights for everyone, but somehow, some of you (such as Clarence Thomas) seem to think that you are separate from every other oppressed group.

This isn't a civil rights issue. But play ignroant for second. You're doing a good job at it so far Charles. If gay marriage is a civil rights issue, what about the civil right of polygamists who believe in having multiple wives? What about the civil rights of individuals in a family that want to marry? What about the civil rights of those who love multiple parnters and want to be married to those partners? In others words, how can you make an exception for one group and yet deny the other groups their "civil rights"? You can't just alter marriage to accommodate gays and think that is that, because it won't.

Listen Rosebud. Everybody has the same rights to marry members of the opposite sex under the. You want and people like you want marriage changed to accommodate an alternative sexual lifestyle that is only made up of 2% at best. If a man and woman weren't allowed to marry, then that would be a civil rights issue, but sorry that isn't the case. This is a "special rights issue" and nothing else. Now come up with a better arrangement if you are mentally capable that is.

When Bill signed DOMA into law, gays said nothing. They didn't really make a stink, when he signed Don't Ask Don't Tell into law. It's only now really that they are acting out. Matter of fact, they voted for him twice. Obama originally come out in support of marriage even though most people knew he really supported gay marriage, and gays vote for him. This is how blidned most in the gay and lesbian community are. They were so worked up over Obama's politically coming out announcement about being in support of gay marriage, they didn't hear the part of Obama's announcement that he believed that gay marriage is a "state issue". With that said, the states like North Carolina are well within their rights to vote how they feel on this issue, and Obama has even said so.

Silverfiddle "I thought Bill Clinton was the first black president?"

Well, they went from the first white president who was really black to the first half and half president being presented a black. It's confusing as hell. I don't know what the first true black president is going to be called.

Now, I'm not personally knocking "Charles", but this is the thing, he acted kind of you know, "bitchy", like can the gays ever have a Martin Luther King or Mahatma Gandhi, even Nelson Mandela type?? I think there is a difference here.
