The King of Pop has died, and the world has come to a stand still.

For the first time in a long time, I'm absolutely speechless and am in shock. This story obviously isn't going to have a political motive behind it. The sudden death of Michael Jackson can only be measured as an "historic catastrophic global shock". My favorite decade was the 80's without a doubt. Michael Jackson was one of my favorite performers. Many people claim that Michael Jackson was as big or if not bigger then Elvis Presley and the Beatles. Since the announcement of his death, all of his videos on You tube have spiked into the millions. Also, it has been reported that the entire Internet came to crawl due to so many people logging into Internet news sites to find out what happened. I'm not going to jump on the negatives of Jackson's life like the media wolf pac has done since they've learned of his passing. Michael Jackson was only 50 years old. The news outlets are saying that he died of a heart attack. I'm sure the official cause will surface in the following days. Thanks for the memories Michael, and you will be missed.

I know... I'm in total shock!! It's like a part of my youth just died! Everyone remembers where they were when the "Thriller" video debuted on MTV. His "weirdness" aside... he was a brilliant performer!!!
RIP... King of Pop!!!

I didn't like him. Even when he was popular in the "Thriller" days. I couldn't stand him. Just not into his style of music. ( Old school metal head at the time )

Then with the insane comments over how it was "a precious thing having a child sleep in bed with you", I was sickened. Disgusted! Freak!

However! Even though I detested this white woman, I still feel a sense of loss. I was shocked. Yes, Michael was a great entertainer for those who digged his music and style. I could never understand that sparkling single glove thing. Nonetheless! He was indeed iconic and appreciated world wide.

I think America has lost a national treasure, however tarnished his personal life was, that's all.

Ok, that's the best eulogy I could muster. Sorry.

In a weird around about way, I actually believe I understood his how his mind worked. Michael Jackson never had a "real childhood". He was in the entertainment business from the time he was a young kid. I'm sure you've seen how most child stars turn out when they become adults robb. It's not pretty. Actually it's what Jerry Springer moments are made of. If Jackson did have the mindset of a child in an adult body. It is possible that he saw kids as just playmates and nothing more. I'm not saying that his behavior was "normal" Robb, but nobody really walked a mile in Jackson's shoes to know how he relates to kids.

I don't believe you will be asked to speak at the funeral Robb for obvious reasons.lol Now tell me how you "really feel" about Jackosn.lol From a music standpoint, Jackson was an innovator. He created the genre of pop music. The true question comes down to whether his negatives in his later years of life will overshadow his great successes in his earlier parts of his life. Elvis Presley had great successes in his early career as well, but he went down hill in his later years as well. People don't really focus on Presley's negatives more so then his positives.

People (though not necessarily the law and DAs) treat allegations of drug abuse differently from allegations of child molestation. I don't we will ever know the full truth about MJ on that. I do believe the mother of the child he alleged molestedly was out for the fame and used the trial (and her kid) for that, which undermines her case totally, and the Donald was right there and then to say he hopes MJ takes her to the cleaners for that.

In terms of the best pop artist of all time, yes, MJ. He is to pop music as Alice Cooper is to shock rock and Elvis is to rock and roll: the kings.

Ironically, Alice Cooper and MJ has also this in common: Alice Cooper takes his music after Vincent Price movies and MJ's greatest video employed Vincent Price as that creepy voice at the end of Thriller. Priceless!

That song along with Smooth Criminal are my favorite from him. Long ways away for me from those pop songs listening days, given I am into really hard rock these days. But great memories.

Michael, I am so glad you are not here to read these HATERS words. Jesus was misunderstood and persecuted in his day too, but he is now revered all over - Michael embodied the teaching of goodness, innocence, purity and the best type of Black maleness!

The people so stuck on him supposedly being a "pervert" only prove that they are the true perverts! Just because your perverted minds can only imagine the most negative connotations of having love for children doesn't mean Michael shared your sickness.

MJ was also much prouder of bein Black than most of the jackals on this site - yelling about how black you are doesn't make you any Blacker than anybody else. MJ went to Africa numerous times, didn't mind wearing his hair nappy, and understood that to be masculine/Black man did not mean arrogance, over-aggressiveness, harsh speech or violence. He spoke softly and did wonderful things for the world. Period.

Was he victimized for being who he was?? YES. Just like Jesus.

R.I.P Michael and know that REAL BLACK PEOPLE LOVE YOU!
