Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day was a colossal success!!

The silent majority has awoken, and they are pissed off! Yesterday was Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day across America. A better name for it should have been Chick-Fil-A & Freedom of Speech Appreciation Day. The Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day was created to show support for the CEO Dan Cathy and the Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain that has come under attack by the so called compassionate left. Mainstream Americans are seriously getting sick and tired of having to listen to homosexual groups and their supporters trying to shove their agenda and political correct BS down their throats. What started out by millions of people as showing support for Dan Cathy and his views on the issue of traditional marriage evolved into an issue about supporting his first amendment right of free speech to have his views in the first place. I am pleased to report that the Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day was a humongous success that exceeded anyone's wildest expectations. Dan reported that yesterday was their biggest day in sales ever and that was before their restaurant on the the west coast even closed. They were so busy, many stores actually ran out of food! Democratic strategists have been worried for weeks now about the surge excitement by the right that could lead to huge turn outs at the polls in November for Romney. If the massive turn out is any indication, the Obama camp might want to kick back a few bottles of Pepto Bismo for heart burn between now and the election.

People can only be rubbed the wrong way for so long, before they finally rise up and say enough is enough. That is what happened yesterday.

P. Anthony Allen's 'Chicken & Waffles' officially announces it's objection to gay marriage. P. Anthony Allen's Chicken & Waffles has also made several donations to "anti-gay" organizations, and will continue to speak out against those who boast an arrogant attitude and have the audacity to redefine what marriage is all about.

Due to P. Anthony Allen's Chicken & Waffles stance on gay marriage, several LGBT organizations have launched negative campaigns and threats of boycott against the establishment. In an effort to counter these unwarranted and un-American threats, we are declaring tomorrow as "P. Anthony Allen's Chicken & Waffles Day!"

Hope to see you in line!

For years I get fed up when someone exercises their freedom of speech, whether it is offensive or not, wound up getting reprimanded for their words. Some would get fired, or get put out of business.

I'm exaggerating a bit here, but when someone speaks or has an opinion about same-sex marriage, it pisses me off as how some people on the Left would compare them to the Westboro Baptist Church.

Personally, I don't care who gets married. Whether you are, or not for same-sex marriage, I don't care. I respect Dan Cathy's opinion, but I am not going to call him a homophobe like many on the far left have.

Now that Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day was a success, I bet you companies like Jim Henson's production company, who for years endorsed Chick-Fil-A are kicking themselves in the head. They were the one's acting foolish.

The event was a hallmark toward intolerance. This is just the beginning. The next step will be the institution of policies against gays.

If we don't stand against this intolerance, then the next thing will be a return to de jure segregation.

People supporting the CEO of Chick-Fil-A's right to speak positive of traditional marriage is "intolerance". What crack pipe have you been freebasing off of?
Gay folks and their supporters have really showed me how angry they get when, people have diverse view points on the issue of marriage that isn't inline with theirs. Personally, I will be dammed if I will allow myself to sellout of my faith in order to be politically correct compliant. Chick-Fil-A has gays working for them and doesn't discriminate against gay patrons. Furthermore, Dan Kathy never said anything about gays and gay marriage, he merely mentioned what would go think in light of how traditional marriage is under attack which is been shown to be abundantly clear that it is.

Of course they have to make such a ridiculous comparison. This is how progressives feel about Christians in the first place. They are either bible thumpers, Holly Rollers, Zealots. Religious fanatics etc in their eyes. Since the bible goes against most of what progressives stand for, they have to attack it in order to discredit it. It's nothing new, it's always been that way.

Why is it that liberals rather ban businesses than create them? These same idiots who claim to support human rights buy products from Nike and Apple, companies which both made a huge profit off of children working in harsh sweatshop conditions. I'm not judging them; I even got a pair of Kobes, but don't judge me for enjoying my damn Chick Fil A sandwich. The protesters just left me alone though at the restaurant since I was a minority and their white guilt couldn't handle such conflicting messages.

In all honesty it is unfair to compare the Westboro Church with those on the right who speak their opinions against same sex marriage. It's really unfair. It's just as unfair as comparing the KKK to the NAACP, or the KKK to the Black Caucus or the KKK to the Democratic Party!

Oh snap...wait a minute... MANY on the right have stated just that! However, I stand by original statement. It's silly to compare the statement by the CEO of Chick-Fil-A to the wild statements and actions of the Westboro Church. The same goes for comparing a historically well known extremest group with any historic civil rights organization. It's simply ludicrous.

Ohhhhh come on now... The Department of Food & Health has given us an "A" rating for the past 10 years! I was hoping that you might contact Sarah and Todd Palin and get them to visit "the hood!" I think it would one heck of a photo op!

Funny how the gay right activist are protesting outside any Chic-Fil-A restaurants and making claims of homophobia. But they can't explain why, or never seen any gay or lesbian employees walk off the job. Why is that? And don't say that they "needed the job" because of the bad economy. Like Dick's Drive Thru here in Seattle, Chic-Fil-A contributes thousands of dollars to their student employees of any background for their college tuition. So, where's the ignorance?

It's a matter of tolerance of others who may be different than you. You're not giving up your faith by accepting what others do with their lives.

Don Cathy's open disdain of a particular lifestyle perpetuates an atmosphere of intolerance within his place of business (keep in mind his place of business). He can have his own opinions about whatever. However, his views should be kept to himself when he has a business which caters to the public. A public which is more and more diverse

Lester Maddox, the former governor of Georgia owned a restaurant in the early 60's. When a group of African-Americans sought to come into the establishment, he called on patrons to use pick handles to prevent the group from entering his place of business. Lester felt it was a sin to racially integrate. He too would be dammed if he would allow himself to sellout his faith in order to be politically correct compliant.

Chick-fil-a opened a hornet's nest with its open affirmations attacking gays. Although it is free speech, it's like the racist cartoon drawings which were in the Ford Motors factories in the 1930's.

Dan Cathy is a Christian who is loyal to his faith. People like you want him sell out his faith and moral beliefs in order to please you who support a lifestyle that isn't supported by his faith. Who's the intolerant one? Dan like all people of faith according to their religion will be held accountable when they take their last breath on this earth, and he knows that. There is a reason why traditional is in front of the word marriage, and homosexuality is called an alternative lifestyle.

Westley Williams "However, his views should be kept to himself when he has a business which caters to the public. A public which is more and more diverse "

Oh really, his views should be kept to himself? No like his views should be kept to himself because you don't like them. Try being honest. The same way those who speak out for gay marriage, those who support traditional marriage have ever right as well to express their views. How dare you to say that a person should keep his thoughts to himself. Freedom of Speech goes BOTH WAYS.

CB;"How dare you to say that a person should keep his thoughts to himself. Freedom of Speech goes BOTH WAYS".

You're absolutely right, it does go both ways. In this country you have a constitutional right to say whatever you want to say. However, the problem starts when people disagree with what you have to say. We've come to a point where some "ON BOTH SIDE" are taking hard line stances on their "OPINIONS."

The left-wing prop's themselves up on the idea of what they see as their "civil rights." The believe their civil right provides them rights to gay marriage, health care, public education, public services, protection from discrimination. The right-wing props themselves up on "religion." They believe their religion provides them the right to self rule, self dependence, and a social protocol based on their religious beliefs.

Both ideas are complete polar opposites, yet in a "free society", both idea's and activism are permitted. Because both are permitted Westley Williams is also correct when saying that; "it's a matter of tolerance of others who may be different than you. You're not giving up your faith by accepting what others do with their lives".

There within lies the compromise. If both sides would simply allow (without contempt) the other to say and do as there please, you would not have "gay pride marches" or "anti-gay demonstrations." But then again, this is America....

That's patently untrue. He can maintain his faith without impinging on the beliefs of others. Granted, there have been no overtly identified policies which discriminate against gays. Yet, Chick-fil-A has donated over 5million dollars to certified hate groups identified by the Southern Law Poverty Center that seek to inflict harm on the LGBT community. I find that disconcerting.

Alpha Conservative Male

"No like his views should be kept to himself because you don't like them. Try being honest".

Again, you're miss-characterizing my previous statement. He should keep repugnant views as such to the sanctity of his belief system. You universally identify them as Christian. Some people question how Christian Dan Cathy is.

Alpha Conservative Male

“those who support traditional marriage have every right as well to express their views”

Not too long ago traditional marriage was not a mixed race marriage. It took a long hard fight to change that interpretation. Even today a significant of the GOP feel that mixed marriages should be outlawed.

If you want to go down the road of turning the clock back, then you should be prepared for the worse to return.
