Stupid is what stupid does? Or is it Stupid says what stupid represents?
The definition of the word "naive" is a person showing "a lack of wisdom, experience or judgement". Obama has proven himself to be a key illustration of the word on many issues especially as it pertains to foreign policy and the threat posed by Islamic Extremists. When it comes to the issue of Islamic Extremism, Obama and his world travelers who share his warped ideology on the subject are ideologically senile. They remind me so much of the cartoon Mr. Magoo with him trying to pet a mad dog while seeing it as fuzzy cute kitten.
That's liberal for you, people who see the world for how they wish it to be but not how it is. The comments by the State Department spokeswoman Maria Harf have made her famous for all the wrong reasons. More importantly, her comments underscores just how Obama and his inner circle truly are out of touch and don't see Islamic terrorism and fundamentalism in the same light as must Americans and even the world for that matter. Last week on the Chris Matthews Show on Lean Progressive MSNBC, Marie Harf of the State Department said that America can't "kill their way out" in defeating Islamic Extremists and that the way to defeating Islamic Extremism was with "job training" and "jobs" and helping people start businesses.
When I first heard Ms Harf's comments, my face froze with utter shock at how stupid that sounded, but then I remembered who her boss is and I just sighed. Dear Leader would rather be water boarded then to ever mention the words "Islamic Extremism, Extremists, Terrorism or Terrorists" in the same breath. Like I've always said, stupidity and ignorance are "party affiliation neutral. I remember when George Bush used the term "The War On Terror". What many people including conservatives didn't realize that Bush never injected the word "Islamic" in between the words On and Terror. So Bush was really no different in how he addressed Islam and white washing it in it's role in terrorism. Now as for Ms Harf, she represents the State Department of the current administration, which is Obama's. Her comments about the "root causes" of why 17 year olds (FYI the vast majority of Islamic Terrorists are much older then 17) are picking up AK-47's is utterly absurd. It's not, because they don' have their own businesses, jobs etc. Liberals like Ms Harf, Obama etc are intellectually incapable of seeing the true "root cause" for why Islamic Extremists exist. The answer is obvious to any non progressive minded person.
It's the Islamic Imams who are BRAINWASHING people into becoming Islamic Terrorists. not the lack of jobs, or job training.
Nobody in their "right mind" wakes up one day and say "I'm bored, I think I will become an Islamic Jihadist instead of playing my Playstation. Again, only a progressive minded person could not see the true "root cause" of how Jihadists are born.
Does anyone think that Imams like Abu Hamza recruited followers by promising them jobs and their own business?

Someone should ask Ms. Harf to explain Alton Nolen (convert to Islam who beheaded his co-worker at a Oklahoma food processing plant), Major Nidal Hasan (Ft Hood shooter), Faisal Shahzad (the financial analyst who planned the Times Square Bombing), and Mohammad Emwazi (aka 'Jihad John' who was college-educated and grew up in a middle class neighborhood in London). Seems to me that the fact that these individuals were college-educated and/or employed flies in the face of her argument.

That's a very good analogy which lends itself to a larger argument. There are some individuals, mainly liberals (or progressives as they now call themselves) who seem to hold this misguided belief that problems such as crime, juvenile delinquency, drug use, terrorism, etc. can be simplistically solved through some jobs program or other program such as "Midnight basketball". Never will they acknowledge that people who behead, burn, shoot and execute innocent people, rape women, blow up buildings, etc. are evil people who are driven by things other than the lack of jobs, lack of businesses, lack of education, poverty or what silly excuses they use to justify their actions.
So, Marie Harf's suggestion for these Islamist extremists to stop their killing is to offer them jobs?
Major Nidal Malik Hasan, a Muslim who was employed by the United States army and shot and killed 13 and injuring more than 30 people at Ft. Hood, Texas. Prior to the shooting, Hasan has expressed anti-American sentiments and was corresponding with Anwar al-Awlaki who had ties to al-Queda. Did giving employment in the US military to Hasan stop him from carrying out his "workplace violence"?
How about the incident at Vaughn Foods food processing plant in Moore, Oklahoma? The suspect Alton Nolen, who was a recent Muslim convert while spending time in prison, was given a job at the plant, but that did not stop him from attacking and beheading one of his coworkers.

There is more value in a pile of vomit than there is in the brains of that broad. (If I had supervisors who told me to say what she said, I would refuse, or quit on the spot, before I would shame the dead or shield the murderers.)
While it is the case that evil cults, and jihad recruiters, often go after younger unemployed unmarried frustrated haters of self, family or God, nevertheless consider:
Osama bin Laden was from a wealthy real estate family in Saudi Arabia. 15 of 19 suicide mass murderers on 9-11-2001 were Saudi Arabian nationals. They were largely middle class or higher young men, some with training or degrees in engineering or computer science. They were able to afford visas, immigration, overseas education, plus the technologies to use against the USA. While taking flight lessons they pretended to be accepting American culture while inwardly being liars and plotting calculating conspirators. Other jihadists and supporters of terrorism have been lawyers, doctors, and like exposed in Florida years ago, college professors.
Like ACM said, they were brainwashed by Imams. Also by pounding select verses of the Koran, coupled with a blocking out of liberal arts understanding, so that they end up as 25-year-old fanatic murdering man bodies with the intellects of spoiled, know-it-all, dangerous 10-year-olds.
