"Newt Groupie" says the GOP establishment is responsible for the attacks on Newt Gingrich.

It's no secret that Mitt Romney is the chosen one of the Republican establishment in the eyes of conservatives. Some are clinging to the worn out line that Mittens is the only candidate who can beat Obama. I still find that claim ridiculously flawed and laughable at face value. But be that as it may, that hasn't stopped talking heads like Ann Coulter and other media conservatives from echoing the same Jibba Jabba. The fact of the matter is that anybody who holds opposite views of Obama can easily beat him. A few ago right before the Florida primary, self described "Newt Groupie" Flora Reece talked about her perception of Newt and who she believes is out to get him. I found Flora's thoughts on Newt and what's going on to be very thought provoking. She talked about fighting for Newt all the way up to the convention in Tampa, but if Newt doesn't raise enough money going forward, he might not even make it there.

I'm encouraged to see Ms. Reese speak as she doe's concerning Speaker Gingrich.
Great video find Ty. This is exactly what many folks need to see and hear. Yes Newt has some dirty hands. I won't deny that. I believe if my career was on public record and someone had the money and took the time to find dirt on me, I'd look just as dirty.
I believe Newt has been " Bush whacked..Bamboozled" if you will, by the internal moderates within the GOP.
When you have people on the left and moderate right in a frenzy about Gingrich, something tells me he is exactly what we need. Just my opinion.

The true believer groupies are much of what makes politics so distasteful.

How anyone can get excited of greasy reptilian politicians is beyond me...

Yeah, I want Obama gone, but we don't need to perform hero worship on whoever is running against him.

I am not a fan of either Newt or Mitt. However, I personally believe that Newt is the more conservative between the two. In my opinion, I have seen some people who have endorsed Mitt, and who claim to be Conservative, come out for who they really are: Conservatives in Moderates (or even Liberals) clothing. This includes Matt Drudge (he has really surprised me), Ann Coulter, Jon Voight.

Anthony allen I thought you were promoting newt until I clicked on your link. I think it would be best if newt did not get the nomination. If he did get it his klan would flood the airways with racist ads.

allen, general polls mean nothing. The only polls that matter are the ones in the electoral college more importantly those in the battle ground state. Hell I've seen general polls that have Santorum ahead of Obama, even I did buy into it. Polls can change on a dime. The GIO primaries aren't over, the candidate hasn't been picked, the ads haven't been aired and the debates have yet to occur. You can drool at a general Newt vs Obama poll, I'll just take it with a can of salt and just laugh.

I'm more then happy to do it. I have a deep dislike for the media, and I will continue to spread the information and news the media doesn't want others to see.

Thank Robb, I was rather impressed with Ms. Reese also. Of course progressives will just call her a sellout or an Aunt Jemimah or both. It's odd seeing conservatives who wanted a Romney alternative now actually embracing him. I'm going to do a story on that next week sometime. I especially have a bone to pick with Ann Coulter or her now warm embrace of Romney when just last year she was praising Christie as the anti Romney. I'm not sure how much longer Newt realistically can go on thought. If the establishment wants him out then I wish he keeps on going all the way to Tampa.

I think what is going on in the minds of conservatives is that they are so anxious to get rid of Obama, yet are willing to overlook Romney not being a true conservative. Before it was anyone but Romney, not it looks like it's the anyone but Obama. Coulter's 180 on Romney was unbelievable, but I doubt she realized she trashed her conservative reputation by doing so. Endorsing Romney in the primary cycle is a dumb in my eyes as people who endorsed McCain in the primaries. After the primaries is one thing but never before. If Romney does win the nomination, I will back him all the way, but not until then.

Silverfiddle "Yeah, I want Obama gone, but we don't need to perform hero worship on whoever is running against him."

I agree somewhat silverfiddle. I won't ever worship a politician, I have my dignity to think of, lol, but the candidate who puts an end to the Obama ERROR will be a hero in my book along with the people who helped to make it happen.

David Speakersman "I am a Flora Reece groupie. She knows what time it is. When is she running for office?"

If people like Flora were elected to congress, more people would actually start to think highly of congress and it's ability to do the people's business.

I look forward to it Ty. I'm sure we share the same sentiments on Coulter. She's just all over the place on many issues and I believe is mistaking her frostiness or egotism for conservatism. As for Newt, I'm still in his corner. But admit isn't looking good. Waiting to see what comes out of all of this. I do know there may have been more damage done to just Newt and Romney's pride. Like a loose thread, it's been pulled and may unravel something big.

I heard about it. I really don't know what to make of it. Santorum is actually ahead of Romney in Michigan!! That is huge! Michigan was suppose to be considered sacred ground for Romney. For Santorum to be up on him by 15 is having many pundits scratching their heads. I think Romney is going to Michigan either tomorrow or Wednesday. It's really telling that he has to now defend a state that should have been a given for him. If Romney losses Michigan, I believe it could be a game changer for Santorum. Many of the GOP strategists wanted Romney because they believed Romney can win Michigan and Michigan is an important battle ground state. If Romney losses it to Santorum, that is going to get the inside crowd starting to second guess whether Romney is truly the one to be the nominee going forward.
