Sarah Palin to resign as Governor of Alaska on July 26!

What is going on here?!! The death of Michael Jackson was one shock I never saw coming. Sarah Palin just announcing that she will be resigning as Governor is another shock I didn't see coming. I can't figure out the reason why she's doing it. I don't even know how to begin commenting on this news. Palin has been very vague over the last few weeks about whether she was going to run for reelection as Governor. Any news that comes out of the media is going to be pure speculation regarding her reasons. She threw the political establishment for a loop when McCain announced her last summer as his VP pick, and she has done it again today.

With the self destruction of Mark Sanford's political career and potential 2012 ambitions, the window of opportunity for Palin winning the nomination seems that much more viable. That is of course if she is still going to pursue it. As I see it right now, Palin's only true competition for the Republican Nomination is Mitt Romney. I'm definitely going to have to do some investigative digging on this story. If Palin is truly considering running for the 2012 Republican nomination, then it wouldn't make any sense for her to run for reelection as Governor. If that is her motive, why would she resign this early? Why didn't she just announce that she would finish her term and not run for reelection? I have more questions then answers, and that isn't normal for me. The news story is all over the Internet. I'm sure the media's liberal stooges of Couric, Lauer and Gibson will be doing back flips over the news. With Palin not on the political radar, other liberals are going to go nuclear. They won't have Sarah around in which to channel their insane loathing against her. Liberals want to frame Sarah Palin as dumb, but the woman is clearly anything but dumb. She is clever as a fox. The question remains is Sarah Palin "burned out" from the negative media onslaught or is she "laying the groundwork" for her quest for the White House in 2012?

It isn't about a matter of negative media allen. The media's attention against palin has been negative against her right out of the gate just because she is a female conservative. If the criticism was legitimate, then that is another story all together allen. If Fox News attacked Michelle and her kids almost every other day, I know perfectly well you would say that Fox News had a political motive. Since Obama is your guy and Palin is contender against Obama, then it makes it ok for the media's relentless attacks against her. I have a video that explains what I think her motives were for resigning a Governor. Since I make so much sense, I'm pretty sure my explanation is very close to the real reason.

First off, Michelle is not an elected official. Michelle hasn't even ran for public office. Secondly, Fox News does attack her. Conservative media and it's pundits attack the Obama's on a Daily basis. By the same token Left-wing media and it's pundits attacked Palin...basically, IT'S WHAT BOTH SIDES DO!!

You're the one that suggested that Palin was, "burned out from the negative media onslaught." Negative media come's along with being an elected politician. What kind of elected official quits because he or she receives negative media attention?? That would be a politician that's guilty of some wrong doing, or a weak minded, weak kneed, air-headed idiot. Take your pick...

Well if Sarah is tired of the mean spirited personal attacks then I don't blame her if she decided to leave politics. I think everyone who attacked her personally owes Sarah an apology as well as her family.

The left is very evil and vicious!
I find the left's duplicity to be stomach turning.
If someone were to call Michelle Obama a bitch I wouldn't come to Mrs. Obama's defense until the Moonbats who attacked Sarah Palin apologize it's only fair!

P Allen "First off, Michelle is not an elected official. Michelle hasn't even ran for public office."

Whats you're point allen? She is still married to a high profile public official right. Did that stop the media from going after Bristol Palin allen? I don't recall Bristol being an "elected official or running for public office"do you? Love that double standard spew allen. You do it so well.

p allen "Secondly, Fox News does attack her. Conservative media and it's pundits attack the Obama's on a Daily basis."

So you are going to tell me with a straight face that the Pundits on Fox News never attacked Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney or other conservatives. Do you really want to stick by such a statement allen?

P Allen "By the same token Left-wing media and it's pundits attacked Palin...basically, IT'S WHAT BOTH SIDES DO!!"

Fox news never attacked Obama along the lines the rest of the media vicously, venomously attacked Palin and her family allen. You know this too. The was beaten up by the media worse then Rocky in a fight. No political figure I could think of was more hated then Palin. So as usual allen, please try again.

Palin isn't trying to be a celebrity. Obama has already filled that job. Palin never asked to be in the spotlight if I recall. McCain asked her to come onto the national stage. Palin is running in 2012.

Anybody who thinks politicians are like celebrities shouldn't be allowed to vote. Politics is serious business it's not about high fashion or even popularity contests.

The senators, State legislatures, Supreme court Justices jobs are to protect and defend the constitution and to represent the citizenry not look cute for the camera.

Obama has been doing just that looking cute for the camera.

Liberals are horribly sexist assuming Palin is just a pretty face. Liberals need to take their so called progressive ideals and shove it up their collective arses!

They wanna call her a quitter and say she lacks experience and yet Obama has had no experience prior to his election.

Last time I checked being a Governor is sort of like be a president. Meaning you make administrative decisions and you protect the interests of your constituents.

Governor's even have to make decisions involving the state budget. Obama is doing terribly with our economy. The solutions he and his minions are proposing are making the situation worse.
