Why is having an identification card in order to vote so threatening to progressives?

I know the answer to that question as do most you. Mention the words "VOTER IDENTIFICATION CARD" and then quickly put on a pair of headphones, because you will immediately hear a loud streaking noise by progressives howling to the moon about how "racist" such a proposal is. Don't progressive politicians want integrity restored to the voting process like everybody else who cares about their vote standing for something? I can believe I actually said that without bursting out laughing. I don't understand exactly how a law requiring "all people" to have a photo ID is even remotely "racist". Since I can't use warped logic on the issue, here's Sheila Jackson Lee to explain it.

I'm sure most of you look at Sheila Jackson Lee as a woman who's brain is on fire with no water in sight to put it out. I have that impression of her as well. So I guess according to Sheila's warped logic

Blacks don't have any money, because they aren't able to cash checks at a bank or check cashing place, because those places require Photo ID Cards

Blacks don't drive cars, because blacks need a photo drivers license which acts as a Photo ID card.

Blacks don't fly airplanes or go on cruise ships, because Photo ID cards are required.

Blacks must all be homeless, because they can't rent an apartment or buy a house, because Photo ID cards are required.

Blacks don't go shopping with credit cards, because a Photo ID might be requested upon request.

Blacks can't go into nightclubs, because the doorman might ask them to display a Photo ID card.

I'm also sure that all blacks of working age don't have jobs, because an interviewer will request a drivers license or a Photo ID and a social security card as part of a background check.

Of course I am demonstrating just how absurd Ms Lee and other progressives are in making such a lame and baseless statement. I'm black, and I have a drivers license. Before I was able to drive, I had a "five dollar" Maryland State Photo Identification card. So according to the left, blacks are so poor that they can't even afford a Photo I.D card which ranges between five to eight bucks in most states? Is that what we are really suppose to believe? This is what it is truly all about as most of you probably already know.

This has all to do about making sure illegal aliens can vote for Democratic politicians and voter fraud can occur then it does protecting blacks from voter disenfranchisement.

Putting it another way, Ms Lee and other progressives are merely using blacks as pawns in an effort to make it easy for people who aren't even citizens in this country to vote.

Last I checked, naturalized American citizens (Foreigners whom became American citizens), they cannot vote.
My sister-in-law, who's from Morocco and became an American citizen, through legal means, cannot vote for a candidate of her choice. It doesn't stop her from viewing her opinion.

I'm not black, but I will provide photo ID when I'm using my credit card, checkbook, or to make a transaction at one of my bank's branches, or when I go to vote. So, am I being profiled?

A couple of years ago, one of our local politicians went to a bar and was denied service because she did not have her ID with her. She did not take it personal, but she knew that the bar has rules. She went back home and got it and they served her.

So why is having an ID card in order to vote so threatening to progressive? My guess is that they are in favor of undermining the law for their own benefit. Isn't that right Ms.Lee, a lawmaker?

Actually I was suppose to be going this year, but something can up. I will be there next year Also, the Southern Poverty Law Center SPLC is a far left group posing as some sort of civil rights organization which it isn't. It will brand anyone it thinkss is a conservative or conservative activist as a racist, so what they is totally irrelevant in my eyes. The topic at CPAC "The failure of multiculturalism" is actually accurate. Of course leave it to progressives like the SPLC to distort what the topic is. It isn't about racism, it's about having an English first country. In other words immigrants coming to America and learning to speak English. I do know of several black conservatives who are at CPAC right now. I was actually able to watch Herman Cain give the main speech on opening night last night on CSPAN. The website you linked, "thenewcivilrightmovement.com is a pro homosexual site, pardon me if I snicker. As a black man, I am offended that gays try to relate their alternative sexual lifestyle to the only true civil rights movement that happened in this country with the black civil rights movement. Pardon me if I don't take seriously anything written about CPAC and it's speakers from a website showing to men kissing.

Real good try alpha male. But your logic is flawed. Which of the following is NOT a constitutional right?

Cash checks at a bank or check cashing place.

Shop with credit cards.
Go into nightclubs.
Work a job.
Vote in elections.
The answer is all of them are not rights except voting. The one thing you did not mention was buying a gun. Thats your right also. Legally you cant buy a gun without ID but that doesnt stop anybody from getting one.

Really? Is that what these folks have you thinking? That "multiculturalism" doesn't involve race?

This country has been multicultural almost from it's inception. Various peoples and cultures from all over the world (mostly European) came to these shores. Multiculturalism only became a "threat" when people of color (Native Americans, Latinos and Blacks) entered the equation.

Question; Has anyone ever noticed that in America, those races of people who were "displaced" by other Americans from their lands, tend to have the largest numbers of their population living in poverty, and more subject to crime, alcoholism and drug abuse?.

Snicker away! Actually I was reading another article at "Salon.com" that mentioned the, "Log Cabin Republicans" had not been invited to the CPAC event. They had a link to the Log Cabin site, and from there I clicked on another link to that article. I thought that it was pretty well written, so I posted the link to it.

Which is rather a waist of time because who is taking there rights away to be homosexual. No one is stopping them from being that way. You know, a person's sexuality should have remained private from the very start. Those are private choices but having the courts and federal government involved making what is private public is just disrespectful towards others who may not want to know and or share there views. As with another private matter or what is supposed to be private like Abortion, that to should have remained so to. That is a deep personal decision between families and there religion.

Eddie, on the topic of homosexuality, over the years I have come to respect a particular ideology of "what is" and "what is not" a choice. I'm well over 50 years of age. Over those years I have seen male and female family members, neighbors and friends deal with personal issues of, (lets call it) "personal complex sexual gender uncertainty."

Myself as an adolescent witnessed a male family relative, whom we often referred to as "sissified", completely reject the "normal male child" activities (playing sports, rough-housing, etc..). Instead having a preference for typical female child activities (styling hair, dressing up, and hop-scotch).

He was the oldest of 3 siblings, and had a younger brother, and a sister who was the youngest. Growing up in a two parent household, his father would often criticize and forcefully condemn his non-typical actions.

Making a long story short... he grew up with the rest of us, eventually realizing his "personal preference" and presently lives his life as a open homosexual.

My point here is this- Through my own personal observations I have come to the opinion that homosexuality is not a choice. Call it a "chemical, hormonal, chromosome disorder or imbalance" or whatever you want! I've seen boys and girls from the formative years of 4 through 9 years old, reject particular gender specific attitudes and roles for no other reason than what their own minds led them to do.

I'll be perfectly honest here. I also don't like to see two men or women share intimacies, or those who tend to flaunt their sexuality in public. By the same token, neither do I like smelling someone else's smelly fart in public. Yet I realize that both are "causes of human nature" that should be done in private.

With concern to the legal marriage issues, it is my opinion that a person of the age of consent should be able to marry any other human being they wish. It's none of my, or anyone else's business who you marry.

I appreciate the Friedman videos Eddie, particularly the one where he advocates for the legalization of drugs. I totally agree with him there!

However, as typical, and as expected, you can't answer the question as posed. I asked about the "AMERICANS" (Black, Latino and Native) who were displaced from their land, that subsequently have the highest percentages of poverty, alcoholism and drug abuse. Friedman doesn't even come close to the subject in any of the videos you linked to.

Why is it (as Friedman says) those who "voted with their feet" and came to this country of their own free will (Asians, Arabs, Jews and Europeans) tend to be more unified and prosperous, yet Black-Native-Latino "AMERICANS" (who have been here for many generations) tend not to do so well?

I have always been, and will always be an advocate for Blacks to have our own economic base, educational system, political structure and spiritual belief system. It's been attempted but for some reason has not worked out. Why?

The answer is as simple as it is complex. I'll give you a hint... The cause is something the vast majority of whites, and every conservative will never admit to.

Allen, homosexuality is not innate, but programmed. No one is born gay, as we are either male or femalke unless we are disabled. Gays have made you and others feel that they are born that way. Well if you are born with no toes, is that natural for others or just you and those born with no toes, either way unnatural as normal humans have ten toes.
The Bible says it is a mental illness. If it is wrong for me to fornicate or commit adultery, why is it right for gays to do so. Romans 1:24 SAYS SO, AND THAT IS WHY GAYS HaTE THE Bible, and lean toward atheism and evolution. Where are the gay apes?

I had relatives who decided to be gay and caught AIDS and we srtill cared for them when none of the gay friends came to help us. Love caused us to do it Allen, but they loved themselves more than us.

If gay is ok, soon all mankind will be extinct. We are forcing genocide on a dwindling population along with abortion performed by the breeders, ones the gays make fun of. I have seen gays hit on married men and laughed about it.
If one has a penis he is a man. If a man doesnt have a period every month until the cessation, then he is a man able to procreate.
Until gays can make gays through their anus, then it is a facade and satanic, as GOD said he gave them up to a diseased mental state, as he did all who steal, kill, lie and etc. If it is wrong, say so and stop making excuses because you know a gay or he has money or is a movie star or singer. Black gays make no more Blacks thus leading to extinction.

They smile and grin and the enemy tell them that the KKK is their only enemy. The NAZIs are back in robes and speak the same language. NAZIs who sterilized all Afro-Germans in the amount of 25,000 and wrote a book called MY JIHAD in German called MEIN KAMPH. History tells us that Charles Darwin said all dark races would die out, and other famous men sid Blacks were cursed and were created Black, ugly, nappy headed, pug-nosed to be easily recognized as slaves and then go to hellfire. The Pharisees are the ones who lied on GOD and said Blacks were cursed from HAM. Moses married a Black woman, a Cushite named Zipporah in Exodus. Lies caused people to lose respect for the Bible and GOD, and fall for the allahs(gods) of the world
which told people that hell burned which is a lie as dirt doesnt burn and we all return to dirt. Go to the cemetary and see. Dirt and more dirt. There is no sex in heaven (Matthew 22:30) and according to Islam Black men and women dont go to heaven but to a hellfire! Satanic teachings are winning.

You're absolutely right Gerald, none of the activities you mentioned are rights. A person does have the right to be treated fairly under the Fair Housing Laws when applying to rent a house though. But here is where you fall short. As long as everybody has some sort of identification card to vote, their is no infringement on that person's right to vote, regardless of race. If there was law singling out blacks then you would have an legitimate argument, but you don't gerald. People have the right to have their vote represented equally with others who are also legally eligible to vote, that is what this is all about.

P allen "Really? Is that what these folks have you thinking? That "multiculturalism" doesn't involve race? "

It's what I know allen, because I've been speaking about the balkanization of America for almost ten years now. When you have to press one for language and two for another on the telephone, this is where it comes from, the lack of assimilation. It's not some one is telling me allen, I live it everyday, so I know thank you. You can believe what you want to, because it doesn't fit your stereotype of people who's views are opposite of yours. There are people who are anti immigration period, but progressives tend to lump everybody who is anti illegal alien into the same group.

p allen "

Wrong allen as usual. Immigration in America really didn't start until the 1900's. People who came to the country from countries in Europe learned English and pledged their allegiance to this country allen. There are many Africans who immigrated to America who speak English. People from countries in Asia came to America and learned to speak English. You talk about whites in American only seeing immigration as a threat when Latinos, Native Americans and blacks entered the equation, your reality is warped beyond rationality allen. Blacks who were born here have always spoke English. Native Americans for the most part speak English, and naturalized Latinos speak English. Mexico's immigration laws are 10 times stricter then ours. The Mexican government has troops on it's southern border, non Mexican citizens can't own anything in Mexico. You don't roll into Mexico as an illegal to Mexico and expect to be treated like illegals are in America. Mexico isn't exactly known for multiculturalism or being the great melting pot south of the border.

It pisses me Eddie off listening to gays and their advocates trying to blow smoke up the ass of the civil rights movement in trying to hump a free ride off of it to promote their "cause". They use the term "marriage equality". There is no such thing as marriage equality. Marriage is what it is. This is what gays can't comprehend. Marriage existed long before America was even a country. The government really can't grant same sex people any "special" rights" to marry because
"marriage is an institution that government didn't have hand in creating to begin with".

lol, very true. I heard about the judge in Wisconsin who isn't going to verify the signatures by the union goons in trying to have the recall election against Governor Scott Walker. So as far as anyone knows, several signatures can be fake or several thousand. I can see now. If the Republicans challenge the votes in the election as being fraudulent, the first word out of the left's mouth is going to be "racist".

Anon;"Allen, homosexuality is not innate, but programmed. No one is born gay, as we are either male or femalke unless we are disabled".

Programmed by whom? I have no evidence that any gay person that I know was was "programmed." However I do have evidence that at least 3 children I watched grow up were confused, unsure, or in total denial of their sexuality, and grew up to be gay.

As far as the Bible goes, I'm not even going to go there with you. I'm not a "religious" type who makes my judgements according to your religious beliefs. You have your God, and everyone has theirs.

Anon;"Where are the gay apes?".

Hmmmmmmm? I must say, that is quite an intellectuality astute inquiry! Ohhh I know! Where ever they can hear a CD by Elton John and shop at Banana Republic!

Anon, like many people who "leap before they look", I find that you don't know as much as you think you know....

The Bonobo Ape has been described as the closest extant relative to humans. Much of their "constant" activity involves "male-to-male" as well as "female-to-female" sexual and genital contact.

Do yourself a favor. You obviously have a computer, or access to one. Do a little research on-line, and you'll find quite a few study's of homosexual/bisexual behavior among animals, birds and insects.

However, that doesn't prove nor disprove the idea that homosexuality in humans is "innate." It's beyond my pay-grade to attempt to say that know what causes homosexuality, because I honestly don't. However, I'm sure about what I've seen and experienced. That empirical evidence leads me to believe that you can't "program" a human beings sexual desires.

Gee-whizzzzz Tyrone. Why do you do that? Say anything to prove absolutely nothing! Do you really need a lesson in American history, or a book on the meaning of "culture"?

Look at this map of the colonization of the Americas. Can you see where different European "cultures" colonized and settled in what is now the United States?

Being that by 1900 most of the country was occupied by peoples of British descent, English was the language of the land. During the early 1900's the vast majority of immigrants came from eastern Europe, especially Italy, Poland, and Russia. Many of those who came had to settle for menial jobs and work because they did not speak the language. It was their children that had to learn the language because it was the common language taught in schools.

There is no evidence of wide spread voter fraud. But if someone wanted bad enough to vote 100 times he could get 100 fake photo ids. If a illegal alien just felt the need to vote he could get a fake id. If i was so desperate to have my dog cast a vote I could find a way. But how much sense does it make to do any of that.
